Spacious 2 bedrooms PLUS near Kawkawa Lake

We welcome you to a relaxing and unforgettable stay in our home. Your space includes a large living area with a cozy gasfire, eating area, kitchenette and a delightful antique grand piano. There is hardwood flooring and large picture windows overlooking the grass garden and trees beyond.

It has a tiled bathroom with as a heated floor. There are two spacious carpeted double bedrooms and an extra ‘room’ with a single bed available at $10 per night. Outside is a large covered patio with a BBQ.
The space
Spacious, beautiful, peaceful place! Guests love the wooden floors and cupboards, the cosy gas fire in winter and air conditioning in summer. Guests enjoy the closeness to local trails and beaches, for gentle walks, runs, or cycle rides. Even have a go at gold panning or try free nearby frisbee golf course in the woods nearby (fun frisbees and gold panning dishes included, but with no guarantee of finding gold!). There are many hikes and trails a short drive, and of course all the local attractions in Hope. We aim to makes your stay pleasurable and memorable.

Guest access
Guests have private access to the downstairs living area from the back garden. There is a lockbox to access the key for your convenience, and I can also add your phones to unlock the door during your stay using the ‘August’ app.

You don’t have access to garage or the downstairs storage and utility rooms. If you are staying for more than a few days, guests arrange to use the laundry room upstairs by request.

Please note that you have private use of all the downstairs living space. We can let you have a key if you wanted to lock your individual bedrooms too (this has been requested by a company booking for workmen to stay). There is a curtain separating downstairs from upstairs but we do not allow anyone in the house if we have guests. We often come on a Sunday afternoon to mow the lawn etc, but give guests at least 90 min notice if we are coming.

In addition to the downstairs, it is possible to book additional 1 or 2 double bedrooms upstairs or the whole house. (see www.Airbnb.com/h/Discover-Hope). I have temporarily disabled this booking feature, so please ask if interested.
Other things to note
Your floor is down a flight of stairs, and backs onto the garden, with large picture windows across the back of the house.

The kitchenette has a double sink, kettle, coffee maker, microwave and Ninja air fryer (acts as an efficient small oven, toaster, and dehydrator, among other things… see photos or Google). There is a large fridge with a freezer in the kitchenette, and a small fridge with a tiny freezer in the ‘mud room’.

The key also unlocks the far back door, past your private entrance from the garden and round to the other side of the house, where can take off and hang wet boots and coats.
