The Space:
Welcome to FOXHILL, a one-of-a-kind log estate retreat built from entire, intact tree trunks — Imagine the largest Lincoln Log set you've ever laid eyes on! This estate is the crowning jewel of the hill with breathtaking views of both Washington and Idaho! FOXHILL is a labor of love, crafted by the owner's father to be a living work of art. Since 2000, it has served as the cherished gathering place for their family’s annual reunion, and now, we are beyond thrilled to share this extraordinary space with you.
THE SPACE
FOXHILL sits over 1,000 feet above the valley floor, offering panoramic views that are truly indescribable. With over 6,000 square feet of newly-remodeled space, this retreat is designed with guests' comfort in mind.
• The Great Room: Step inside to be greeted by floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing the endless 360-degree views. It’s the perfect spot to savor a morning coffee, engage in heartfelt conversations, or simply sit and soak in the scenery.
• The Kitchen: This expansive kitchen features a massive island with 4 bar stools, small sink, garbage disposal, trash compactor and custom storage for banquet tables. The kitchen features Ninja multi-functional coffee maker (drip coffee or k-cups), KitchenAid Artisan stand mixer, high-end Viking propane cooktop and stove, additional Viking warming oven, two dishwashers, and a second oven, and a full range of cookware, utensils and dishes to delight the culinary enthusiast in your group. The open-concept design ensures the cook never misses out on the fun. Prefer dining al fresco? Head to the adjacent outdoor seating area for open air or starlit meals.
• The Living Room: Gather here for game nights, movie marathons, or cozy evenings by the gas fireplace. French doors open into this spacious room with plush seating and a relaxed ambiance, and the piano nearby simply invites you to sit and unwind.
• Kids' Corner: Beneath the grand staircase is a nook for children stocked with games, books, and toys, this room is a kid's paradise and a parent's best friend.
• The Master Bedroom: The spacious master suite comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests. The en-suite bathroom offers plenty of storage space, a luxurious soaking tub and a walk-in shower—a perfect end to an adventurous day.
OUTDOOR ADVENTURES
FOXHILL’s 139-acre estate is an outdoor enthusiast’s dream. Wander through scenic trails, observe wildlife such as moose, elk, or deer, enjoy a game of horseshoes, challenge friends to volleyball or four square, or conquer the monkey bars. As evening falls, gather on the patio under twinkling string lights for storytelling, wine sipping, and unparalleled stargazing. With no city lights to interfere, the night sky blazes with constellations.
HOME LAYOUT:
• First Floor: Master bedroom with en-suite bath, expansive chef’s kitchen seamless to the dining area, family living room with piano, special kids-only area under the grand staircase, one additional bedroom and two additional bathrooms.
• Second Floor: Two spacious bedrooms, one full bathroom, and a game area with pool, ping pong, pinball, foosball, air hockey, and shuffleboard.
• Bunk room *Additional Reservation & Cleaning Fee*: Additional spacious bedroom and 1 bathroom (toilet, vanity and walk-in shower) that sleeps up to 17 additional people! Must reserve as an add-on to the primary listing.
• Basement: Entertainment abounds with a living room with sofa and massage chair, Xbox, PlayStation, an additional kid-safe TV room with beanbags and wall-mounted TV, and a separate immersive home theater with movie projector and surround sound including Apple TV for streaming your favorite shows.
The home features 6,000+ sq feet of beautiful interior, propane BBQ, movie theater room with seating for 10+ and movie projector, chef's kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 12 beds (3 queen over queen bunk beds) and 4 bathrooms, massage chair, and 360 views -- and optional bunk room sleeps additional 17 guests!
FOXHILL is perfectly located between Spokane and Coeur d'Alene—just 25 minutes from either city and 35 minutes from Silverwood Theme Park. Whether you’re planning a lake day, a ski trip, a ziplining adventure, or a rock-climbing challenge, this retreat serves as the ideal home base.
Guest Access:
For the primary listing, guests will have access to 6,000 square feet of the main home, 3-car garage, patio and BBQ, and all of the amenities.
For extra space, we offer room for up to 17 more guests to stay in the bunk room for additional nightly rate and cleaning fee. This space is a bedroom over the attached garage and closed off with a smartlock, and it includes one additional bathroom with toilet, vanity and walk-in shower. The smartlock will not open the door for your reservation if you have not paid additional accommodation fare for this space.
Winter Access Disclaimer (October–March):
Fox Hill Estate is located on a hilltop with private roads. From October 1 – March 31, snow and ice can impact access. While plowing is provided, severe winter storms may occasionally delay service. In rare cases, guests may experience delays of several hours before the roads are cleared and safe to drive. For this reason, four-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive vehicles are required during these months, and guests should plan accordingly when traveling.
