It is not downtown as indicated, but it's an easy walk getting to town, and it's very proximal to the Parkway to get to the Natural Bridge Park and the Red River Gorge. The bedrooms were nicely appointed and the beds very comfortable. The laundry was a great convenience and the bathroom was roomy. The living room was very relaxing; the TV was a bit twitchy, but we really enjoyed the record player, and played a Dolly Parton album to honor her passing. I always like to cook when we rent a house, and I had to shift a few things around to improve the counter space, but it worked out fine, and we had some very nice meals at that kitchen table! No dishwasher, but it was pleasant to hand-wash the dishes with a nice view out the south window. We didn't use the bonfire pit but did play with our nephew a little in the front yard. Theresa was so welcoming and friendly, answered any questions promptly, and provided literature about the area, as well as other reading material. As a bit of a renovator myself, it was interesting learning a little about the history of the house, and what it took to make it the charming place it is today. The house served our purposes very well, and we would be happy to rent from Theresa again if we ever make it back down to that part of Kentucky. Thanks again!
