Beautiful views

Home was very clean and spacious. We loved the front patio which overlooked Pari. The caretaker made us feel very welcome and gave us a thorough tour upon arrival. Groceries were a 15-20 minute drive so I'd suggest stocking up prior to arrival. Very good value.

13 fantastic days in Tuscany

I must say, that we had high expectations for our stay in this wonderful cottage in Tuscany, and just went back I will say, that we had 13 fantastic days and everything was just like you see at the pictures. We were 7 persons and we had plenty of space, and our kids just loved the swimmingpool. Martin the housekeeper, was very discret, nearly invisible, but very helpful everytime we had questions or needed any kind of help. I will highly recommend this place, if you need a quiet place in beautiful surroundings.

nicht empfehlenswert, sehr schlechtes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis (viel zu teuer), Haus Sauberkeit /Reinheit schlecht, Pool ist nicht eingemauert (Baumarktqualität), Poolterrasse aus Holz einsturzgefährdet, Absperrung Baugitter, Betten sehr schlecht, Küchenutensillien von IKEA & , teilweise kein Gasherdfunktion, Gartenmöbel alt, Grillplatz einfachste unschöne, Aussenbereich mit Biertischgarnitur, keine Klimaanlage nur Stand-Ventilatoren die nicht funktionieren, mehrfach Vermieter Paolo anrufen müssen, weil etwas nicht funktionierte oder Pool nicht gefiltert wurde

wer es mag-sehr einsam gelegen (wir mochten es), aber größere Städte, wie Siena oder Grosseto innerhalb 30 min erreichbar. Kommunikation mit Vermieter mehrsprachig,nett und problemlos. Haus total schön, groß und klassisch Ital. Stil. Pool sehr angenehm und erfrischend. "Hausmeister"Martin sehr nett (Deutsch Sprachig) und so gut, wie unsichtbar. Ein paar Spinnweben hier und da, aber das sollte man auf dem Land einkalkulieren/verkraften. Gerne wieder!

A Very Nice Place in a Wonderful Setting

We spent two weeks here in June and were joined for the second week by a family with a younger child. The property is as advertised in the listing - in a very quiet, rural, forested setting with easy access to SS223 and scenic views across to the tiny hilltop town of Pari a mile or so away. The house is a large two-level structure with the caretaker couple at one end and the rental house, pool and main garden area at the other end. It’s a very comfortable place with the upper level featuring two bedrooms, two baths, kitchen, and the main living area. The main bedroom is large and the king-size bed is of good quality. If needed there are several floor-stand fans available to assist the natural ventilation of the house. The bathrooms and kitchen were in good condition with the latter having all the glasses, plates, cookware, utensils and assorted stuff that a true kitchen requires – it was fun to cook in. Overall, the place was really clean. On the building’s lower level (outside access) there’s a utility/kitchenette/game room and the smaller apartment which our guests found very comfortable and cool along with a nice covered patio area. The swimming pool was clean and a wonderful place to come home to after a long day of touristing. The grounds are well kept (featuring many whimsical metal sculptures made by the caretaker) and there’s covered parking for a couple vehicles. Communication with the owner was excellent from start to finish. The caretakers are wonderful - very discrete and we hardly saw them except when we needed assistance or had questions and then we were very glad they were nearby. They had good suggestions on places to visit and things to do around the region. And, as with other places we’ve stayed we found that if there were any issues (e.g. a couple chipped glasses or a scraped up saucepan) once notified the hosts quickly and happily resolved the problem. Overall we were very impressed and pleased with their efforts to take care of the guests. In summary, this is a nice place and we'd happily stay here again.

Splendido casale toscano

Sono stata con amici nel mese di Gennaio 2016 e posso affermare di aver vissuto 5 giorni in un casale toscano di gran stile. Tutto in pietra, arredato con eleganza, pulito, spazioso, dotato di ogni comfort. Uno splendido camino in salotto, libri da lettura a disposizione, camere da letto comode e spaziose, cucina super accessoriata e poi la magia dell'esterno: grande giardino curatissimo, forno a legna, piscina, patio e tanta cura in ogni angolo. Il padrone di casa è un galantuomo premuroso e corretto. Consiglio questo casale a chiunque abbia voglia di immergersi nelle bellezze della Toscana. Nelle vicinanze ci sono molti borghi da visitare, oltre alla splendida Siena.

Das Wohnzimmer mit dem Kamin war super und schöner Sammelplatz am Abend. Auf dem Außengelände läßt es sich bestens entspannen. Möbel für den Außenbereich (Liegen, Tische und Stühle) sind vorhanden. Mit dem Holzofen in dem Nebengebäude hatten wir Brötchen und Pizza nach alter Tradition gebacken, ein toller Spaß für die ganze Familie. Hausverwalter Martin pflegt das Anwesen liebevoll. Er war immer sehr hilfsbereit und konnte uns auch ein paar tolle Tips, wie z.B. Essen gehen oder auch zur näheren Umgebung, geben. Martin hält sich diskret zurück, man fühlt sich total ungestört. Alles sehr unkompliziert. Wir (2 Omas, Eltern und 2 Jungs) hatten die Woche über sehr viel Spaß und können dieses Haus uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Für den Einkauf gibt es in Pari (1,5 km) einen kleinen Alimentari, für den Großeinkauf muß man ein bisschen weiter fahren.

FANTASTICO

Abbiamo improvvisato prenotando all'ultimo minuto per il ponte di capodanno, siamo due coppie con bimbi ed il casale ha superato le nostre aspettative. Praticamente unisce la bellezza del contesto paesaggistico bucolico alle comodità di un appartamento di città arredato con gusto(cucina fornitissima microonde lavastoviglie letti comodi doccia spaziosa ecc). Gli ampi spazi esterni e interni per i giochi dei bambini,il caminetto la sera,il silenzio dei boschi intorno,ci hanno fatto ricordare quel modo di vivere semplice e lento che la metropoli non ci permette più. Un plauso particolare alla gentilezza e correttezza del proprietario e alla disponibilità del simpaticissimo custode Martin. Sicuramente ci torneremo per provare la piscina con la bella stagione.

Ein wahres Paradies!

Die Fotos auf der Homepage sind mehr vielsprechend. Verunsichert hatte uns vor der Buchung jedoch die Tatsache, dass der Hausverwalter direkt daneben wohnt. Dennoch haben wir uns aufgrund der sehr positiven Bewertungen für dieses Quartier entschieden. Bei der Ankunft waren wir mehr als überrascht. Das ganze Anwesen ist noch schöner als auf den Fotos. Wir konnten es kaum fassen. Es war das reine Paradies. Alles sehr liebevoll gepflegt. Das Haus war in einem Top-Zustand und nichts fehlte für den täglichen Komfort. Und Martin, der Hausverwalter, war, wie in vielen Rezensionen beschrieben, wirklich unsichtbar. Und wir waren froh, ihn in der Nachbarschaft zu haben. Denn es ergeben sich dann doch mal Fragen. Und da ist es praktischen, einen Ansprechpartner zu haben. Martin kümmert sich liebevoll um das ganze Anwesen und den Pool. Aber man muss wirklich keine Sorge haben, dass man seine Privatsphäre nicht hat, denn Martin macht das wirklich wie ein "Heinzelmännchen". Wir können diese Quartier nur jedem wärmsten empfehlen. Es ist das wahre Paradies. Höchste Qualitätsstufe. Netter Willkommensgruß. Alles sauber und gepflegt. Und die sehr hochwertigen und flexiblen Gelsen-Gitter garantieren auch eine unbeschwerte Nacht. Danke für den tollen Aufenthalt. Wir werden diesen Urlaub in stetiger Erinnerung halten.

Bellissima vacanza tra amici

Siamo stati a Casale S.Ansanino per le nostre vacanze di quest'anno. Eravamo 3 coppie di ragazzi giovani e tutti, siamo stati molto molto contenti e soddisfatti della struttura. La casa è grande, molto curata e pulita. Il giardino tenuto benissimo e la piscina come nelle foto. Abbiamo potuto fare delle grigliate e mangiare all'aperto e godere del sole su comodi sdrai. Il casale è isolato ma per qualsiasi necessità si può contare sul simpaticissimo custode Martin, sempre disponibile ma non invadente. Consigliamo a tutti la struttura!!!!!!!

la ciliegina sulla torta...

ebbene si, ci siamo ricascati. D'altronde, in questo casale, ci sembra di essere ogni volta a casa nostra ( o meglio, quella che vorremmo essere casa nostra). Da quest'anno è stato introdotto un valore aggiunto: la piscina è proprio quello che mancava per rendere assolutamente completo e piacevole il soggiorno in questo bellissimo ambiente. Consigliato a tutti quelli che amano vivere in un posto tranquillo, pulito e rilassante.

Un peccato ripartire!

Dopo aver vagato per anni (ad agosto) la Toscana in lungo e in largo alla ricerca della miglior sistemazione con un occhio di riguardo al rapporto qualità/prezzo, possiamo dire che San Ansanino è in tutto e per tutto perfettamente rispondente al nostro concetto di vacanza ideale. Casa molto bella, pulita, curata, dotata di ogni comodità e con tutto perfettamente funzionante (e se ci fosse il minimo problema, affidatevi a Martin) in un contesto molto tranquillo e con vista sul borgo di Pari (da cartolina). A poche decine di km belle cittadine da visitare oppure puoi oziare in veranda con un buon libro e con sottofondo di canti di cicale. Consigliato vivamente a chi cerca tranquillità e a chi necessita di "ricaricare" le batterie. Un grazie particolare e un arrivederci a Martin & Co.

Una settimana in paradiso

Per gli amanti della natura, per chi cerca un posto tranquillo, per chi non rinuncia alle comodità di una casa completa di tutto ed efficiente, per coloro che sono alla ricerca di antichi sapori, per i fans delle acque termali.......la soluzione è S. Ansanino. Sembrerà esagerato ma è così ed è reale! Io e la mia famiglia siamo appena tornati da una settimana trascorsa a S. Ansanino: un bellissimo ed ampio casale dove abbiamo potuto soggiornare comodamente in cinque persone adulte. Il casale è immerso nella foresta del basso Merse, vicino alla piccola struttura termale di Petriolo - rilassante e a misura d'uomo - e vicino al paese di Pari, dove si possono gustare ancora antichi sapori ormai dimenticati. Se il tempo sarà buono, S. Ansanino sarà la base ideale per visitare una parte meravilgiosa della Toscana; se invece meteo e pigrizia avranno il soppravvento, si potrà rimanere nel casale, circondati dalla tranquillità della natura e coccolati da Martin, che con la sua gentilezza e sollecitudine, saprà risolvere ogni problema (ammesso che ce ne siano in un posto così bello). Una vacanza da non perdere, che sicuramente ripeteremo! Francesca

Sono stato una settimana nel casale S.Ansanino con mia moglie e mio figlio di due anni. Il soggiorno è stato piacevole. La casa è molto accogliente, spaziosa e il casale è posto in un'ottima posizione. Assistiti da una settimana di tempo bello abbiamo goduto del prato e del bosco intorno alla casa (specialmente mio figlio). Ottima l'assistenza ricevuta in loco.

Capodanno a S. Ansanino

Siamo appena tornati da una breve vacanza nel casale di S. Ansanino io, il mio ragazzo e un'altra coppia di amici. Abbiamo passato un Capodanno all'insegna del relax nella pace e nel silenzio di questo posto incantevole. Il proprietario è una persona squisita ed ha avuto ogni possibile riguardo nei nostri confronti, come anche Martin che si occupa degli ospiti con grande gentilezza e discrezione. All'arrivo abbiamo trovato persino la tavola imbandita! Un omaggio del proprietario che ci ha fatto trovare vino e alcune cose da mangiare. La casa è spaziosa, molto pulita, ben curata; conserva il fascino di un luogo vissuto e rustico ma è allo stesso tempo dotata di ogni comodità. Una delle cose che ho amato di più, oltre alle serate davanti al grande camino acceso, è stata la vista stupefacente del cielo stellato.. Chi vive in una grande città si dimentica di quante stelle ci sono sopra di noi! Assolutamente consigliato, torneremo presto spero!

La Dolce Vita

Here, we have found a property that is off the normal tourist trails that have made Tuscany so fashionable in recent years. Its wooded setting makes it seem somewhat remote, and yet Sienna is only 20 minutes away and many other popular centres are within an hours drive. To the south west is Grosseto, which has a selection museums as well as some good bars and restaurants. Beyond that are some lovely wild beaches that can be explored more leisurely. Much closer is Pari, which sits on top of the next hill, and offers a wonderful aspect to the view from the small balcony at the front of the house. The family run restaurant provides a small selection of good local meals, while the bar a short distance away acts as the focal point for the town in the evenings, where we often had an icecream or a beer and soaked up the atmosphere of the place The accommodation is of the highest standard: a well maintained building that retains the rustic charm that reflects its true age. It is well furnished and the kitchen offers the ability to cook for a small army, rather than just the 4 or 5 guests that the property is intended for. The couple living in the lower half of the house were very friendly and helped us find things to do that we might otherwise have missed. This year was our second visit, and I would hope to come again in the not to distant future.

Relaxing with Stunning Views

We had a wonderful couple of weeks at San Ansanino. The property is spacious and comfortable. The views across to Pari and beyond are fantastic. The place is set in woodland, with great wildlife and is very peaceful. As the place is not in a village you need to plan food shopping, but there are grocery stores within easy drive. The closeness to the thermal pools at Petrolio was great and we used them regularly. The caretaker is very helpful and discrete. All in all a very pleasant stay for us.

Che bel capodanno!!

Io, il mio ragazzo e un'altra coppia di amici abbiamo passato il periodo del capodanno 2011 in questo splendido casolare. L'esperienza è stata molto bella e rilassante. Ad accoglierci al nostro arrivo c'era il signor MARTIN, un signore tedesco molto simpatico e soprattutto molto disponibile. La casa era un pò fredda soprattutto all'inizio ma il camino in salotto e la legna che Martin ci continuava a portare senza sosta ci hanno riscaldato alla grande e poi era bellissimo stare tutti davanti al camino. Il paesaggio circostante era anch'esso molto bello e abbiamo goduto di ogni attimo di quei giorni. Per non parlare del fatto che eravamo in Toscana e tra i ricordi di questa vacanza figurano anche un paio di fantastiche FIORENTINE!!!

A Great Place to Relax

We had a wonderful week at Colonica Petriolo. We were two separate couples in the semi-retirement phase of our lives and this turned out to be an almost perfect place for us. The accommodation is relatively simple and basically furnished but it was very much as advertised and met or exceeded our expectations. It was clean and comfortable with a very pleasant garden area and a stunning view from the small verandah where we ate breakfast each morning. Communication with Paolo the owner and Martin the "caretaker" who lives next door was excellent and very user friendly. Martin has excellent English and was a perfect host to us during our week. This property represented very good value for money as far as we were concerned and we would go again.
