To clarify the items indicated in the associated review: Our listing indicates that bed linens are not included, I personally send out a message with detailed instructions confirming every aspect of our rental, in this email, I indicate that we typically do not rent our unit with linens as we have found that people prefer to bring their own. I will make this clearer in the listing. If people request linens, we have the capacity supply them and in this case that offer was extended; the tenant declined the offer for linens. I personally do check-in; our home was ready at 12:00 that afternoon for a 3:00 check-in, I waited there till about 4:00 but needed to step out. I sent a message via VRBO messenger with instructions and a picture of the key location but for some reason the message did not reach the tenant. I was able to make contact with the tenant at 5:31 according to my phone log. I personally re-clean and inspect our home before every tenant, there was no previous tenant in our home except for me and I cleaned and checked everything for the days leading up to this stay. The week leading up to this stay, and for a majority of this stay, the region had experienced an unprecedented amount of rain. When I stepped out that day, the air conditioning indicated the humidity level inside the house was below 50%, there was no musty smell when I left; nor was there dust balls or dirty tubs, I personally vacuumed every room and closet, and cleaned both tubs. There is an old watermark in the downstairs bathroom celling, this bathroom is going to be renovated this off-season. None of the bathrooms have window coverings as they collect mold and are unsanitary. The windows in the bathrooms are skylights and a high window overlooking a garage roof, there is not a privacy concern. The gas grill has scoring and charring typical of normal use, we are planning on getting a larger grill for next year. There were not any clothes in the dresser, those were sheets. There was no food in the frigerated except for bottles of ketchup, mustard, Italian salad dressing and coffee. The mattresses are all new within the last three years. The thermostat is programable eco-friendly and defaults to 72 with tenant control to raise or lower. In long stretches of high heat and humidity, like this week, the system, not the thermostat; has safety thresholds to rest itself. The system is checked by a professional every spring and I was assured this is normal.
