For at reservere ring 608-374-3150. Dette nyere cedertræhjem ligger kun 30 m fra vandkanten. Det har en pejs, året rundt hot tub og central luft. Faciliteterne inkluderer et fuldt udstyret køkken, widescreen fladskærms-tv (satellit), DVD / VCR-afspiller, stereo / cd-afspiller, et stort søen dæk med møbler, en Weber trækulgrill, din egen dock med en robåd og peddel båd og en bålring . Foruden hoveddækket er der et dæk lige ved vandet. Det store soveværelse har en king size seng. Ud over det store store værelse er der et stort familieværelse med et andet tv. Der er også fuld størrelse en vaskemaskine og tørretumbler. Du og dine børn vil glæde os over vores vandtrampolin i foråret fodret med fiskeri / svømning sø

Quiet Rustic Cabin

The cabin was exactly what we were looking for, for a quiet out of town weekend. Located close enough to Tomah for groceries and essentials but far enough in the country for a quiet stay. The cabin is nice but definitely rustic. Fairly clean minus a few small things but for five guys in their mid 20s it was more than clean enough. The basement can be a bit chilly at night, even with the door closed at the top of the stairs, and there are a few screws on the deck that could be used to be driven in a bit deeper but that is just being nit picky. No wifi was a bit disappointing but understandable after reading the posted information in the kitchen. All things considered it’s a great property for a weekend escape out to the country. I would definitely rent again.

Great Get Away

We were celebrating my sons 18th birthday with some of his friends. Everything worked out great, except there was hardly any Wi-Fi. Otherwise, everything was clean and spacious.

Fun girls weekend

Loved this cabin. We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and walking trails around the property. Beautiful area.

Lovely Retreat!

We are a five woman pool team, and this house gives us plenty of room to spread out, relax, play games, and we love th hot tub location in this cabin as opposed to the others. Any noise does not affect the others that may be sleeping. Two TV's is a plus and plenty of linens. Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy this wonderful cabin!

Fun place to get away, but not too far away

The property was spacious enough for a gathering of 3 different families (10 people). It’s nice and quiet, but when we needed things we’re just a few minutes away from town.

A great family vacation spot

We loved our stay here! The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The house was great for our family vacation. We really enjoyed the boats provided and hanging out on the deck and in the living room. We made use of the grill, too! The property has some short walking trails that were a fun activity too. Thanks so much!!

Great property, flawed check in

Very beautiful property, good amenities and nice location. However, when we arrived another group was already in out property and the owner was unreachable for the evening. They had mistakenly gone to the wrong cabin and not realized due to the lack of a check-in process. We had to ask them to leave and clean up the mess they left behind. Additionally, both pullout couches had mouse/rat dropping in them. The owner responded the following day, just said they would leave the other group a bad review. Otherwise beautiful property.

Family Getaway

This was the perfect spot for us. We stayed for the week just hanging out with family. Nice guiet grounds. Plenty of space. The younger kids really loved the water trampoline. Plenty of fishing when the weather would cooperate. We will definitely consider staying again next time we are in the area.

Beautiful location

We enjoyed our stay at the haven. The hotub and fishing on the private pond in the row boat was our favorite things to do during our stay. We will be back! Thank you.

Tomah stay

We had a great time at the Haven with our kids and grandson. We were a little disappointed the deck over the water was removed from this property, and the trampoline was not on the water, but we enjoyed the other amenities.

Spacious home with stellar views!

A little difficult to find, but managed :) Spacious, the spiral staircase was a surprise. The views are amazing and the hot tub a nice touch. It wasn’t as clean as I’d expected for the price and clean fee. ( especially the inner shower lining.) Some of the plumbing needs attention too. Over all it was well supplied and safe. We never bothered to lock the doors!

Girl's Getaway

This was a get away for high school friends of over 45 years. Despite a major snow storm, we managed to get to the cabin safely. The walk was shoveled for us. Hot tub was fired up. The decor was very homey. We didn't do much exploring outside because of the snow but would love to go back in the summer. The host could not have been easier to work with. We only wish the storm didn't cut our weekend short. There is always next time!

Enjoyed our stay at the Haven

We truly enjoyed our week staying at this relaxing home! It was so nice to simply arrive and unload as the contactless checkin is handled in advance. This home has the best, well designed stereo and speaker system - controls for 3 areas - greatroom, outdoors and the hot tub room. (CD.s, cassettes, radio tuner, AV inputs). The volleyball, badminton, gazebo common area is very nice with all equipment available. Enjoyed the rowboat and peddleboat. The rolling farmland in this part of Wisconsin is beautiful. We recommend taking a day trip to canoe the Kickapoo River or visit Wildcat Mountain State Park. Thanks Terry!

Fun property but needs some attention.

We enjoyed our stay overall. Birch lake property was fun with a smaller lake and two hiking paths but it needs some attention to be a really great property. There are large snapping turtles in the lake but they seem to stay away from the designated swimming areas. They will come up to each of the cabin docks though- so stick to the swimming areas and you should be fine. The haven house kitchen needs to restock its kitchen pots/pans, knives etc. we had to get creative a few times while cooking for our family. The house itself has great bones but is in need of a deep clean. Walls scrubbed, baseboards wiped, carpet cleaned, shades dusted, etc. The property was clean but it was clearly a quick sweep/mop of high traffic areas, a change of sheets, and ensuring kitchen was presentable. Signs of heavy usage (which we stayed in the busy summer season) were very present. Enjoyed the family time at a safe and dependable location.

Friend’s Weekend

A group of four of us rented this property for a relaxing weekend away. While the property says “lake” it most definitely would qualify more as a pond. The whirlpool was so dirty looking on the inside we didn’t even bother trying it. Unfortunately the WHOLE property needs a really good cleaning. The walls were dirty, bathrooms were dirty, the bedrooms were equipped with very old bedding that had a musty smell. We had never been to a property that required us to bring all the paper products (including toilet paper) and our own towels so that was very preculiar. We will not stay at this property again.

Fair

As the property sits upon a beautiful lake and the cabin, itself, is very nice, there are some things that should be addressed. Starting with the cleanliness. There is mold growing on the shower curtain and the bathroom/bedroom walls of the basement are covered in dirt. The shutters have piles of mouse poop on them and there are spiders webs in many corners of the place. The walls are dripping with some sort of orange liquid as well. The furniture could be more up to date. Some perks: the place was easy to get to and had easy accessible firewood. The cabin had a row boat that was fun to fish off of and the stars were beautiful at night. Overall, this place a has great potential to be amazing, just needs to be cleaner!

Could be a lot cleaner

The property was amazing but who ever us in charge of cleaning needs to be cleaning better specially during covid!! Sliders and wineries in doors all had hand prints, the place was really dusty and the down stairs smelled of mold and mold was visually present! My husband took photos! The fires in the cracks and behind doors were dirty! The dryer doesn’t dry clothes unless you run them three to four times! This property is a gem and with some proper cleaning and some time it could be incredible! I don’t want to clean my cabins before I can enjoy my vacation! We didn’t even use the down stairs due to the mold smell because I’m very allergic! I won’t return due to this!

Deceiving and Disappointing

The pictures and description on line are deceiving. It's not a lake...it's a pond....a muddy, murky pond. The fishing was good but the swimming conditions are poor. The beach was OK to play in the sand but when dug into it was muddy. Here are our concerns: -when we arrived there was a sewer smell which the maintenance man did come to fix...while he was there we tried to turn the oven on and it didn't work...he also had to fix that. -when I opened the frig there was dried spilled meat blood on the shelf...the fridge had not been cleaned. -the oven was filthy and didn't heat up to the set temp. We had to increase the temp and bake longer. -the house was filthy: dust, cob webs, spiders....everywhere. -the lower level had a terrible musty smell -hockey table didn't work To make things worse renters in one of the houses caused a huge disturbance screaming for help with statements "he's choking me" and a little kid screaming and crying The police were called to investigate. We were told by the police that the man was on the run and they were looking for him. We packed up as fast as we could and left. We did call the owner to inform him once we were on the road. He said he knew about it. He never called to see if we were OK and he stated that we would not get a refund for the night we left early due to this incident. That was disappointing to us...not that he won't refund us but more that he didn't check on us -

My wife, Sally and I (Terry) came here from the Chicago area and built Birch lake from the ground up.

Coming from Chicago, we were very aware of the hassles of urban living and the need to occasionally get away from it all. We felt that many urbanites would not be satisfied with your average 'cabin in the woods', but instead would appreciate comfort and luxury.

Derfor er dette overnatningssted unikt

We knew our location was perfect, halfway between Chicago and Minneapolis/St. Paul via interstate 90/94 all the way, 3 1/2 hours from each. The property is beautiful, wooded with a spring fed fishing/swimming lake which we named 'Birch Lake' because the lake is surrounded with white birch and pines. We then started building after giving much thought to what our guests would want, need and appreciate. One of the most outstanding features is peace, quiet and natural beauty.
