Charming & Peaceful Wooded Saugatuck Chalet with Private Dock on Silver Lake

An enchanting oasis of tranquility on a quiet Michigan lake just five minutes from exciting downtown Saugatuck... Have you always wanted to be the star of your very own Nancy Meyers' romcom (think 'The Holiday'!)? If so, then consider this cozy red chalet, nestled in the heart of Saugatuck, to serve as the perfect backdrop. Whether you're looking for relaxation, fun, adventure and/or a peaceful place to write your next novel or paint your next masterpiece, consider this house your home away from home while you visit Saugatuck. This beautiful property boasts 3 bedrooms - one with a king bed and an en suite bath, one with two full beds and an en suite bath (+ walk-in closet), and one with a cozy queen size sofa bed. With 3 full bathrooms and a powder room equipped with all the essentials, you'll feel right at home. Relax and enjoy a bubble bath in the beautiful, brand new soaking tub upstairs, cook a cozy homemade meal in the spacious open kitchen, and enjoy slow mornings (with a big mug of coffee, of course!) in a hammock on the back patio surrounded by nature. A spacious finished basement offers a full bathroom with shower, a massive u-shaped sectional for the perfect movie night, as well as a home office equipped with a standing desk, desk chair and monitor. Each room from the home boasts beautiful wooded views. Please note that there is not a water view from the house. Walk down a short wooded path to a stairway that leads to your own private dock on Silver Lake! Drive or bike five minutes right into town to everything Saugatuck has to offer. Ten minute drive to beautiful Oval Beach! By renting this property, you are agreeing to the following terms:
Rental Rules (rules are strictly enforced):
1. Absolutely no smoking of any kind is allowed at the property either inside or outside. An extra $500 cleaning fee will be added to guests’ bill if smoking occurs at the property.
2. You and your guests are using the property at your own risk. We will not be held responsible for any injuries that occur at the property or for any lost or stolen items. Any use of the dock on the property requires life jackets be worn and the dock and lake are used at your own risk.
3. No boats or trailers are to be parked at the property. Tents of any kind are not allowed.
4. No trailers are allowed on the property. There is parking for 4 cars maximum in the driveway (roundabout and next to garden). Parking on the road is prohibited. Guests do not have garage access.
5. Do not move the furniture.
6. This property has a maximum number of 8 guests that is listed and you must verify that it is correct. That number is not to be exceeded - this includes children and adults. This goes for day or night. For fire safety, we are required to limit the number of people in the property. If additional people are found to be staying at the property, the entire group will be asked to vacate with no refund. Inflatable mattresses or alternative sleeping other than pack-n-plays or cribs are not allowed. Tents are also not allowed on the property.
7. Pets are not permitted. If a pet is on the property then there will be a $500 fee and it will be required that the owner board the pet elsewhere immediately.
8. Damages are to be reported during your stay. If we find damage after you vacate, you authorize the charge to your credit card for replacement or repair or must provide another credit card number, cash or check. Damages reported upon arrival will not be guests' responsibility.
9. Cleaners will come to the property after you have departed - they will not visit to clean, change linens, or replace towels during your stay.
10. Quiet time is after 10pm nightly. We do not tolerate loud groups or parties anytime of the day or night. Neighbors must not hear you inside or outside the cottage after 10pm.
11. You can only use the one dock that is accessible from the wooden stairs for the property. All other docks are private property.
12. You are at least 25 years old and will be able to verify with valid identification during your stay if needed.
13. Weddings and formal events are not permitted on the property, if there is found to be a formal event on the property the entire group will be asked to vacate the property with a no refund. The maximum occupancy of the property is 8 people and that goes for day or night due to fire code.
14. The dock and lake will be used at your own risk and 6373 Lake Ridge LLC will not be responsible for any accidents associated with their use. Children 15 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult when at the dock or lake.
15. To access the water, walk down the wooded path behind the house to the wooden stairs and take those down to the dock.
16. Beach towels are not provided. You will need to bring them for your stay.
17. *Disclosure: There may be Ring cameras with sound at outside entrances of cottages only.
18. These rules are strictly enforced due to new Saugatuck city and township ordinances. If any rules are not followed all local fines, security deposits and any other charges will be charged to guest and the entire group will be asked to vacate the property. This communication is necessary so that your vacation experience is a good one for your group and our neighboring community. Thank you!
