Clean, beautiful property. Everything worked and was very accommodating. Perfect setting to see and tour the hills and parks from.

We recently stayed here as a family of 6, with our 4 kids7 & under. Pros:-good location, we loved being within 20ish minutes of wind caves, Custer SP, mt Rushmore & crazy horse. It was the PERFECT location.-kids loved the backyard, all the games (inside & out) & the hot tub. -the kitchen was well stocked with the pots/pans & utensils needed for delicious meals before & after our adventures. The charcoal grill was also awesome, we had delicious steaks after our long hike day. -loved the washer/dryer for traveling as a family-could walk right into town. We ate/drank at Mt Rushmore brewing co, less than a 5 min walk door to door Cons:-we had issues checking in & were never able to use the front door. Not a huge issue because we could use the garage, but communication was not great with the host. I was told the issue would be resolved & the team was en route after checkin, but we never saw anyone or heard anything more in our 5 days there. Kinda strange. I will give them the benefit of the doubt, as Sturgis bike week was just wrapping up & I’m assuming they were coming off a busy week. (Also was informed they don’t change the code between guests, I don’t love that as a mom to young kids…) -this place is more tired looking in person than pictures show. (Cupboards won’t shut, microwave door is almost impossible to open, out door lights don’t work or blink on/off all night)- The floors are very sloped, if you suffer from vertigo, I would suggest not staying here.

We’re happy the location worked so well for your family, especially being close to Custer State Park, Wind Cave, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and an easy walk into town. It’s great to hear the kids enjoyed the backyard, games, and hot tub, and that the stocked kitchen, grill, and washer/dryer helped make family travel easier. We’re truly sorry for the check-in and maintenance issues you experienced. Since your stay, these items have all been resolved, including the door access, cabinet and microwave concerns, and outdoor lighting. We also appreciate your note about the code process and have reviewed that internally. We’re grateful for your balanced review and hope the adventure-filled parts of your trip are what stand out most.

Where to start. 1) was represented as having a/c. Only a/c upstairs in bedrooms, NOT on 1st floor in living area. Was quite warm. 2) First night our dog chased mice in the kitchen area. It took me 1 minute to find a large hole (2”) in the wall behind the heater, near the patio door. Had they done ANY kind of inspection in the unit, they WOULD have seen the large hole. Also a large hole in the screen door. Called to complain first thing the following morning. They didn't come until after 2 pm(Tues). Filled the hole. I advised we had a dog and the traps would need to be hidden but no traps left. I was told they caught the 2 mice we saw..hmmm. Dog chased mice again that night. Called to complain. They came around 6 pm to put sticky traps around (Wed). Following morning mouse still alive stuck to trap. Called to advise(Thurs). Maintenance came in the afternoon to clear the mouse and finally fix the hole in the screen door. Needless to say, we dealt with mice for 3 out of 5 nights. I called the host to let them know we were very unhappy with having to live with mice. I asked for some sort of refund and reminded them we have dealt with this issue for over 1/2 our stay, and it probably wasn't over yet. They offered a minimal refund. Had i not asked, they wouldn't have thought twice about a refund and went on as normal. I don't think they took this issue with dirty mice in the property very serious. BEWARE of this management group and their properties.

Property served all of our needs. We were especially surprised that the house stocked with plenty of toiletries. Toilet paper, paper towels, bath towels, laundry soap, hand soap and dishwasher soap. We have not previously stayed at a property that was so fully stocked with that kind of stuff. The communication with the management team/property owner was flawless. They responded almost immediately to inquiries. The hot tub was easy to use and very nice to have. The availability of a garage to park our vehicle in was nice as well. The location of the house was centrally located, relatively near to a lot of the touristy destinations that SD has to offer. Overall it was a great property and would highly recommend it to others
