There was a big hole in the ceiling in kitchen a major device to dry it out , i think and a big fan set on high speed. I spoke to the owner and tole her i was not made aware of this situation and told her i wanted a night free. She said she wasn't going to argue with me and would refund me

This property had both great things and bad things.Super view up the beach, very unique and beautiful. The building itself is very tired and worn, so the building and amenity experience is bad.The big thing however was the condition of the unit upon arrival. We were met with de-watering equipment and a big hole in the ceiling. Given what the price point per day was this shouldn’t have happened.We spoke with the PM, who promised no construction work would occur during our stay. The next day we came back mid-day and equipment had been moved around and work had been done. All of our things were in the unit, including our licenses and wallets. Later when we were headed out, we met a worker in the hall getting ready to come into our unit.The property management group was just a bunch of lip service. They stopped communicating after the first day and promised some sort of resolution for this and there never was.Positive and negative experience

Great location and view. NO AC and very limited ocean breeze. Room stayed about 78-82 degrees. Early check in at 12 cost 100 and cleaners were still there until 1230. Refund for early check in denied by host and DLS vacation but approved by VRBO. Dirty underwear left behind by cleaners as well.

No frills apartment on the beach. The apartment was clean and exactly as shown in the pictures. We appreciated the clean apartment with easy access to the beach & listening to the waves at night. This listing should be a 5 stars except the management company is horrendous to work with. The first communication I received from them was a note reminding me to follow the rules. When I responded saying I had yet to receive check in information or rules they said it was coming. What they sent was incomplete & it took numerous emails to get basic check in time information (the rest I gave up on). Check in instructions are unclear. The house had two beach towels only for a 4 person occupancy. When I emailed asking for more they said more would be dropped off. Four days later they never came. There is no beach equipment to use, no boogie boards, no chairs, no beach toys. We had to go to a nearby rental shop. When I emailed asked if they had recommendations I was told they did not. The kitchen is equipped with some basics for cooking but they don't have baking containers to cook chicken or other things in or left over containers. You'll also receive a lot of communication & see a lot of signage in the apartment reminding you of the rules. Subtext, this apartment is optimized for the owners and not for the renters' experience. That's fine if you want a clean apartment on the beach and you're OK with a no frills experience. At the price point, I was expecting a little more.

Great location and property

My kids and I stayed here for a couple of days prior to our cruise. The location was amazing and the property was clean and perfect for us.

Remarkable views in Southern California

I enjoyed my stay at this property very much. The views are second to none and the property was clean and well equipped as advertised. No need for a car here as everything you could want is in walking distance. I hope to stay here again in the future.
