Welcome to a fully renovated 1895 Victorian on a quiet residential block of NE Capitol Hill, three bedrooms and two and a half baths, sleeping six. Free street parking is handled for you before arrival: a short vehicle form, then your plate is registered with the District at no charge, with nothing to display or feed.



The U.S. Capitol and Union Station are each about a ten minute walk, Stanton Park is one block away, and Eastern Market a pleasant fifteen minute walk.



The First Floor



Step into a bright living area where classic architectural details meet modern comfort. The living room has a queen sleeper sofa and a Samsung 55 inch 4K TV with Roku and over 100 DIRECTV Stream channels. It flows into a six seater dining area and a fully equipped KitchenAid kitchen with high end appliances, generous counter space and all the cookware you need. Infant and toddler utensils are provided. A half bath completes the floor.



Traveling with little ones: a Pack-n-play, two high chairs and a baby bath tub are available on request.



The Second Floor



Three bedrooms, each with its own television and full streaming access, so you can log into Netflix, Hulu, Disney+ and the rest.



The main bedroom has a king bed, an en suite bath with a walk in shower, and a 40 inch 4K Samsung TV. The first guest room has two twin beds that convert to a king with a bed bridge kit, and a 32 inch Roku Smart TV. The second guest room has a queen bed and a 32 inch Roku Smart TV.



A shared full bath with a tub, and a Samsung front loading washer and dryer, complete the floor.



The Patio



A secluded, enclosed patio with seating for four from Restoration Hardware and Crate and Barrel, and a five burner gas grill with propane included. A good place to eat outside at the end of a long day on foot.



Access and Amenities



Entry is by August smart lock, with a personalized keypad code sent before arrival. Gigabit internet, up to 1 Gbps, with Wi-Fi 6, plus a dedicated desk and a Brother printer, scanner and copier. Kitchenware, laundry supplies and premium toiletries are provided, and a digital guidebook covers local dining, shopping and what is worth seeing.



Free street parking is arranged for you: a short vehicle form before arrival, then your plate is registered with the District at no charge. Nothing to display and nothing to feed.



The Neighborhood



The home sits five blocks from the U.S. Capitol on a quiet residential block of NE Capitol Hill. Stanton Park is one block away. The U.S. Capitol and Union Station are each about a ten minute walk, the H Street corridor twelve minutes, and Eastern Market a pleasant fifteen minute walk in SE Capitol Hill. The National Mall, the Smithsonian museums, the Library of Congress and the Supreme Court are all within reach on foot, and Union Station puts the Metro and Amtrak about ten minutes from the front door.

Overall was amazing experience and would stay here again. Nice safe neighborhood, easy to park on street. Nearby walkable shopping and restaurants. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was the shower was pretty cold but that is not enough for me to not stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The house was clean and quiet, the beds were comfortable, and it had plenty of space for our party of four. We didn’t do a lot of cooking, but the kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. And we loved being close enough to walk to all of our planned tours at the Capitol and museums! We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed with our 13 and 14 year old teenagers. House was great, 4 blocks from Union Station (we took the train in from Philly) so we walked to the house. Grocery and wine store within a few blocks along with restaurants. Had everything we needed at the house and Andrew was an amazing host! We were able to get an early check in and had no problems during our stay - great neighborhood- highly recommend!

Perfect Capitol Hill Stay for Our FamilyThis property was exactly as described, which is to say it was awesome. The home is beautiful, comfortable, well appointed, and in a fantastic location. It was perfect for our family of five, with plenty of room to relax after full days exploring D.C.Andrew was an excellent host and incredibly responsive throughout the stay. Everything was easy, clear, and well communicated. We were able to walk or take short Uber rides to all the major tourist attractions, which made the trip so much easier.We’d absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Washington, D.C.!

Beautiful home! My family really enjoyed staying here. The location was perfect for exploring Washington DC. We were able to find street parking nearby for our rental car. I really appreciated the special touches most vacation rentals do no provide like drinking water, shampoo and conditioner and well located charging outlets.

We had a great time with our family in DC and this property was a perfect location. We were able to walk to the majority of sites with ease. We took our toddler grandson to the park which was a block away to their playground and were able to walk 9minutes to the Whole Foods for groceries. The house was very clean and Andrew was so easy to work with. We appreciated the city guide he provided. We highly recommend this property if you’re looking for a walkable location to all the DC sites.

This home was absolutely perfect for us! My husband and I took our first family trip to DC with my 12-year old and my dog. The house was clean and provided plenty of space. It is in a wonderful location and we were able to walk to great restaurants, sights, and museums. The host was incredibly responsive while we were looking at the house and continued to check in after we arrived. The guidebook for the house was super helpful. I would highly recommend this home!

Great place to stay. Well-appointed! Located a block away from Stanton Pk. and a nice stroll to Eastern Market and 8th St for dinner and ice cream. We were visiting my daughter, who lives in the Capitol Hill area. Will stay again.

Outstanding Stay in DC

The home was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the location was incredible for walking to everything we wanted to see. Andrew made the process seamless from booking to check-out.

As a commercial airline pilot, I spent thousands of nights in every kind of accommodation. Those nights taught me that small details and thoughtful hospitality are what make a place in a far-off city feel like home. That experience keeps me in my guests' shoes: anticipating what you need before you arrive, caring for the details throughout your stay, and making the whole experience personal and memorable. Most of what guests thank me for afterwards is something they did not know to ask about. I treat it as part host, part concierge. A Fully Renovated 1895 Victorian on Capitol Hill I bought this house because of the block it sits on. NE Capitol Hill is residential in a way most of central Washington is not: rowhouses, trees, neighbors who say hello, and Stanton Park one block away. It is quiet at night, and it is still only five blocks from the U.S. Capitol. The house is an 1895 Victorian, fully renovated. The original proportions and detail are intact and everything behind them is new. Three bedrooms and two and a half baths across three floors, sleeping six, which makes it the one to choose for a family or a multi generational group that would otherwise be booking two hotel rooms. What guests tend to mention afterwards is the combination: a historic house that works like a modern one, on a street where you can hear yourself think, ten minutes on foot from Union Station and the Capitol.

Location. Five blocks from the U.S. Capitol, on a quiet residential block of NE Capitol Hill. Stanton Park is one block away. Union Station is about ten minutes on foot, the H Street corridor twelve, and Eastern Market a pleasant fifteen minute walk. The National Mall, the Smithsonian museums, the Library of Congress and the Supreme Court are all walkable. Room for six. A king in the main suite with an en suite bath and walk in shower, a guest room with two twins that convert to a king, a third bedroom with a queen, and a sleeper sofa downstairs. Three bedrooms and two and a half baths. Parking, handled. Free street parking with your plate registered with the District before you arrive, at no charge. Nothing to display and nothing to feed, which in central Washington is rarer than it sounds. A kitchen worth cooking in. Fully equipped KitchenAid appliances, dining for six, and infant and toddler utensils on hand. Somewhere to work if you need it. Gigabit internet up to 1 Gbps with Wi-Fi 6, a dedicated desk, and a printer, scanner and copier. The patio. Enclosed and secluded, seating for four, and a five burner gas grill with propane included. Traveling with children. Pack-n-play, high chairs and a baby bath tub available on request. You deal with the owner. Smart lock entry with a personalized code, a digital guidebook of local recommendations, and me on the other end of the phone.
