Matt's place was the perfect place to have a family getaway. The house was clean, well laid out, and had everything you needed. The long-range views were amazing on the decks! Matt was very attentive with any questions we had and an awesome host!We can't wait to come back!

The view! The view! The view! We’re all about it and this place has the best! The expected was covered—comfy beds and a well appointed kitchen—but there was so much more! Generally not ironing on vacation, but we needed to iron shirts for the wedding and found everything we needed:). Sodas in the fridge and late night snacks provided were the icing on the cake! Most of our time was spent talking, reading and soaking up the sun and stars on the deck, but we did manage to get in a bit of ping pong and air hockey. From booking through our stay, every question I asked was answered promptly and in detail. I just wish we’d brought more people along to relax and enjoy the multitude of amenities in this beautiful, spacious home! We appreciate your hospitality!

We had a fantastic stay and would absolutely recommend this home. The mountain views were incredible and even better in person. The setting was peaceful, the house was beautiful, and there was plenty of space for everyone to spread out without feeling disconnected.The layout worked perfectly for our family. Each of our kids having their own bedroom was a huge plus, making the trip more comfortable for everyone. The house was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with everything we needed throughout our stay.The game room was a highlight for the kids. It had foosball, ping pong, pool, and air hockey, so there was always something for them to do while we were at the house. It was nice to have so many activities available without leaving the property.Between the views, the space, the game room, and the overall comfort of the home, it was a great place for our family to relax and spend time together. We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely come back.

We have stayed in a lot of vacation rentals but this property is the best! The view of the mountains is excellent, the accommodations are perfect and spacious and the home is well furnished and so clean!

We had a great time in Sky Valley staying here! It was just three adults, so we never once stepped into the very well-equipped game room, but the balance of the house was perfect. We choose to cook elaborate meals for dinner versus driving in the mountains after drinking wine, and found the kitchen to be spacious and a pleasant place to be. The family room and terrace were the show-stopper, with INCREDIBLE long-range views of multiple mountain ranges. Being above the clouds and watching them pour through the valleys like a river was fabulous. One night we watched a lightning storm that was taking place in Kentucky and West Virginia! The lower level area featured a small second kitchen which we didn’t use, but that family room and lower terrace proved to be a wonderful place to take work meetings and calls, while watching the beautiful scenery. Sky Valley is very central to various mountain towns nearby, such as Highlands, Clayton, Dillard, and Franklin. There is so much to do with hiking, tubing, and more. The host was very gracious and accommodating. Thanks for having us!

This house was so comfortable! My family stayed here during the new year holiday and it had everything we needed. The fireplace, the game room, and the back door patio overlooking it the mountains were our highlights! The host was extremely responsive and also flexible when it came to us checking in an hour or two earlier than planned. I would highly recommend this house!

This property was EVERYthing we were imagining for our “girls getaway” ! The home was fabulous in every way .. clean, very well equipped, comfy beds. The roads leading to the house were well maintained and easy to navigate..which was very important since my husband always drives on our mountain trips. TBH.. I was a bit nervous; but, I felt comfortable driving after a few times up and down the mountain. The location of the home was perfect!! We traveled to Highlands, Franklin and Dillard. Nothing seemed more than 45 minutes away. Had we stayed longer, we would’ve crossed into Tennessee and South Carolina to explore since they were close enough for day trips! The view from the main balcony was breathtaking!! This was definitely our favorite part of the stay!! We cooked dinner in every night and just soaked in the spectacular scenery of Gods beautiful creation!!! The perfect weather and fall foliage were a bonus!!! Matt was the most AMAZING host and was super quick to respond to every question we had. We did have a little trouble getting the fire pit to light and he talked us through the process. He encouraged me that a bear would most likely not eat us while we were unpacking the car … hahah! We had to leave early because my daughter got sick and Matt was very helpful in speeding up our exit plan. That meant everything to us ! We highly recommend this property!! If you are reading this review.. go ahead and book your trip !!!

Everything about our stay was wonderful! We took this trip during our kids’ spring break to get away from busy life and to reconnect with family. There were 6 adults and two kids and we were all very comfortable. There was space for us to enjoy each other’s company as well as space to enjoy quiet time. The views were remarkable and sunset was incredibly to watch on the top level. Additional activities, such as hiking trout fishing farm visits, and restaurants were all easily accessible, and it was also nice to just spend a couple of days in the house. We could not have asked for a better week in the mountains.

A great house and a great host. The home has many bonus points from a tremendously equipped game room to two kitchens. The views are wonderful and the two levels of spacious porches means there is plenty of room for everyone with space to spare.

Awesome cabin with gorgeous views and super clean

What an amazing property. My husband and his 3 brothers stayed here for a rafting trip and absolutely loved it. No complaints whatsoever. Loved the views from the back porches, plenty of room for all, and enjoyed the game room as well. Would enjoy staying here again!

The view is incredible, the location/position is great for both sunrises and sunsets. The house was very clean and stocked with most anything you would need for nice stay. It was perfect for our long weekend getaway to celebrate my mother-in-laws 75th birthday. Matt was wonderful, and the communication was perfect. There's a great binder with information which was super helpful and check in/out was a breeze. Would definitely stay here again!

Everything was in perfect order when we arrived. There was a book (with large font) that explained everything about the cabin and its amenities. All of the rooms were clean and organized. The game room became a popular place as we settled in. The view from the porch was exceptional. All kitchen tools were in order and easy to find. The whole family had a great time and thought it worthy of another trip/stay in the future.

Absolutely the best home we’ve ever rented! The view of the mountains is amazing and there’s so much space inside. Enjoy the beautiful towering stone fireplace and the game room … plus TWO kitchens! It’s very clean and well-maintained. And the owner went the extra mile to give us tips on great restaurants and things to do. Yes, go float the Chatooga! Do a cook-out on the grill. And enjoy the amazing sunsets!

Views for Days

This was without a doubt one of the best homes we have ever stayed in. The views were simply amazing from sun up to sun down. We had an incredible stay over the 4th of July from the duck race to the fireworks. What made the stay even more enjoyable was the owner's attention to detail and his willingness to answer any question asked. Matt has done a great job creating an experience you and your family will for sure remember. The game room was an added bonus for anyone with kids. If you need a new family photo this deck and these views are the place to do it. Can't recommend this home enough. Great home. Great owner.
