Our family of 7 resides in Lubbock, most of the year, but find ourselves back in Botswana, Africa, every summer working with our non-profit organization UrbanRhythmYET.com. We pioneered this organization that serves orphans, vulnerable children and a community affected by poverty/generational challenges caused by HIV/AIDs and more. Two of our children are adopted from our time in Africa and your stay helps support their future in addition to our ministry in Africa. I love trying to help make this world a little better by serving those in need, helping my children become all God has created them to be and playing Pickleball in my spare time for fun! Having a large family, having traveled around the world, and taking care of so many young people in Botswana regularly through our feeding programs and more, hosting and providing safe, relaxing spaces for people has been close to my heart! With a family our size, staying in homes from Air BNB or VRBO has been so much easier and more comfortable to gather as a family and create memories than staying in a hotel with so much separation! We hope our home provides this same environment for you, your friends and family and rather than just supporting a huge corporation, you get the opportunity to make a real difference in the world as excess profit helps our House of Hope for women in Botswana and helps feed our Chosen Champions (street kids)! This neighborhood is calm and peaceful and you often find people out on walks when the weather is nice! South Lubbock is the ever expanding and safest part of town! There is a park a few blocks away that is great to access for young families plus the elementary playground that is available when school is out! Easy access to everything you need is a fabulous convenience!

Our property is GREAT for large groups, especially with college students and younger who can enjoy the triple bunk bed plus the futon couch in one of the bedrooms. Two Kings allow for parents to have their own space, and a sofa sleeper in the living room allows you to fit a few more! If you have a child that wants to stay close to parents, the room off the master with a single bed creates privacy but a safe place nearby parents where they can respond. You can bring a pack in play and set it up in this room or the Master easily as well if you are traveling with a baby/toddler that needs to be close! The two living rooms side by side that allows two groups to relax and/or be entertained simultaneously was one of the best advantages when we lived in this house! You can have a movie in one room, and games and fun in the next (while still safely supervising your young ones) yet with space to have two activities at once! This home is great for families to create memories and relax while coming to town!
