Thank you for recognizing the spacious layout and the many amenities we’ve worked hard to provide for large families at Twin Oaks Lodge. We’re glad your family enjoyed the pools, game room, theater, fire pit, yard games, and well-equipped kitchen. We do want to clarify the situation involving our neighbor. Prior to and during your stay, our house rules and guest communications specifically asked guests not to approach or interact with the neighboring horses and not to enter neighboring private property. Unfortunately, we received multiple complaints during your stay regarding members of your group approaching the horses and entering the neighbor’s property, ultimately resulting in law enforcement being contacted by the neighbor. Our communications with your group were not intended to interfere with your vacation, but to address the complaints we were receiving and reinforce the property-boundary rules. When concerns continued after those reminders, we explained that any further incidents could jeopardize the reservation. We have an obligation to respect our neighbors’ property rights and to make reasonable efforts to ensure our guests do the same. We are also addressing the exterior landscaping concerns you mentioned, and we appreciate that feedback. Twin Oaks Lodge is designed to be a fun, comfortable gathering place for families, and we’re pleased that you found the home itself spacious, attractive, well equipped, and full of activities. We simply ask all guests to enjoy the property and surrounding area while respecting neighboring private property and animals.
