We stayed at the Winthrop Carter House over the weekend of July 23–26, 2026. Our group included my wife, my mother-in-law, my daughter (who was getting married that Saturday, July 25, at The Barn at Bull Meadow outside Concord, NH), and my daughter’s bridesmaids—10 people in all.The house was perfect for preparing for the wedding. At 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, the hairdressers arrived and easily set up to do two bridesmaids’ hair at a time. The layout and functionality of the house matched everything we needed to get ready smoothly. My wife even discovered that the nursery next door would rent plants for 25% of their retail cost if we wanted additional greenery at the wedding. We rented one plant and appreciated getting such a good deal.Attached to the Winthrop Carter House is a beautiful barn and a thoughtfully designed property that can host a wedding indoors or outdoors, along with an additional large parking lot for wedding guests. We rented the barn to host a brunch the morning after the wedding and had an outside caterer set everything up. Everything worked like clockwork, and we were very happy to have the barn available for the brunch. The host, Taylor, and the owner, Katy, were very helpful throughout the process. We highly recommend the Winthrop Carter House!
