Relax and Enjoy the Beauty of the Mountains in our Charming Country House Suite

Escape to this fabulous country retreat at the Suite at Wine and Country Inn, Our brand new, private suite invites you to experience a perfect opportunity to escape when visiting the beautiful Shenandoah Valley! All linens for bed and bath are provided, just bring your food and drinks to enjoy the full equipped kitchen and get ready for a relaxing stay. The Suite has a private entrance and is detached from our main house next door. It is on the 2nd floor above our garage which we access from a separate door. The views are breathtaking and on a clear night you can sit under a starlight sky by the firepit or on your private deck. A welcome portfolio inside the Suite provides you with loads of recommendations and sites to see or stay and relax in the Suite with a fully equipped kitchen to relax and enjoy pure peace and quiet.

When not relaxing in the Suite, the towns of Woodstock, Strasburg and Edinburg are a few miles away. Front Royal, Luray, Mt Jackson, Bryce, and Skyline Drive are about a half hour drive. We are located 10 miles from I-81 (at the Woodstock or Toms Brook exits), close enough to easily access and far enough you don’t know you are near the highway. The Suite offers a great quiet place to stay if you are traveling to and from many of the finest Virginia Colleges and Universities: JMU, VT, Bridgwater, Radford, Shenandoah, and VMI.

Enjoy canoeing, tubing and kayaking, floating on the river, sightseeing or hiking in the Shenandoah National Park and George Washington National Forest. Explore several local wineries, golf, shop for antiques, enjoy birdwatching, go horseback riding, or try your hand at fishing. ALL are conveniently close to the Suite at the Wine and Country Inn.

The living room with queen Temperpedic sofa bed provides additional space for lounging. If you need to connect, a secure high speed Wifi is available with a dedicated desk for a home away office. The Suite awaits you to make yourself at home in this charming getaway - it's easy to see why you'll be able to unwind at our place!

A Perfect Place

We use VRBO frequently, and I set a high standard. This property met the bar and exceeded it. It is located in a beautiful area and the views were just breathtaking from our bedroom, living room, and the deck. At night, there were no streetlights, or noisy cars. The suite was very spacious, and Mary Ann knows it’s the little things that move a property into an excellent standing. The sheets and towels were high end, the closets had plenty of hangars, and the toiletries were great. Furnishings invited us to put our feet up. The kitchen was fully equipped for those who plan to cook. She stocked a basket of snacks and bottles of water which we enjoyed upon arrival. This was truly a wonderful suite for us and we are already planning to return.

Mary Ann and Ben’s custom home at the top of the hill is truly a gem in the Shenandoah Valley. The location is unbeatable, tucked away in natural beauty yet easily accessible to nearby towns, wineries, and major highways. From sunrise to sunset, the views are absolutely breathtaking and made our stay feel peaceful and restorative.The home itself is spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly well appointed. Every detail feels thoughtful, and the custom woodwork Ben crafted throughout the space is nothing short of stunning and really showcases his talent and gives the home a warm, personal touch.Mary Ann and Ben are exceptional hosts. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and were so warm, welcoming, and attentive. Their hospitality made our little post-wedding getaway even more special.Our dog also had the time of her life exploring the neighborhood and soaking up some mountain air. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to unwind, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend this gorgeous and unique home and these wonderful hosts!

Ben is an avid outdoorsman originally from thr Pittsburgh area. Mary Ann is a Washingtonian from birth and has transitioned to this beautiful, peaceful area with ease! She is an experienced AirBnb Superhost and VRBO Premiere Host managing our Virginia Beach condo for many years so she knows how to equip the Suite with the little things that make a differnence!

The panoramic 180 degree view of the Mountains! Our 4 acre property sits high on the North Mountain and not too far from all there is to do in Shenandoah Valley. We are 10 mins from I81 yet you don’t know it! There are no traffic lights and you can leave the hustle and bustle and stay in to enjoy the tranquil days and nights, gaze at the stars, sit around the firepit, and venture out to explore nature, a dozen wineries, go antique shopping all within minutes of The Suite.
