This was a perfect location for a family trip. Close to the red and green T-lines and incredibly walkable to all the great sites and neighborhoods. The condo was spacious, the roof top terrace was gorgeous and provided extra space for my two teenagers to “hang out”. I would absolutely stay here again and bring family and friends.

I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful, modern condo in Back Bay! The place was spotless, bright, and tastefully designed. Everything felt brand new and well-maintained. The location was perfect for exploring Boston, and the rooftop view was a lovely bonus.

On check-in day I was told the condo was not available. I was offered another. I looked at the VRBO site and it seemed to meet our needs so I accepted even though its location was far from our planned activities, so we had to pay for Uber and subway, whereas we could have walked to everything from the first condo. I reserved the condo months ago and was concerned I would not be able to find anything similar that we could check into that day for 3 nights. The host's only concession was that we could drop our bags at the condo before check-in time. When we went there, the condo was trashed. There was open food, dirty dishes and garbage all over. We were assured it would be cleaned. Also, I was told to download an app to gain entry. I did that, but it would not work. The host could not help me so she gave us a code. When we returned at the end of the day, some cleaning had been done. We noticed that the towel bar, TP holder and shower rod were almost completely torn from the walls. The kitchen floor was sticky, there were holes in the flooring, minimal dusting had been done. A lamp was broken. The other bathroom sink was clogged. There were carpet stains and holes in the walls. There was a lot of deferred maintenance. The dryer had to be cleaned for us to use it, which cleaning we did. Thankfully, maintenance came the next morning to fix the bathrooms. The experience is certainly not what was expected from a Premier Host with VRBO!

My friends and I made the trip to Boston to run one of the oldest women only 10K races in the US. Back-Bay Lux was the Perfect location!! It was an easy walk to Boston Common, and actually pretty much everywhere else we went. The condo itself was a perfect fit. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked for what we needed and overall very clean. We ventured onto the rooftop garden one evening, and it provided a stunning view of the city. I would definitely stay here again!

The place itself is very nice - secure new building, well furnished, plenty of space, good gym. But the management team/owner are poor. Three days before we arrived, they called me to say the unit we were staying in for 11 nights had a problem so they asked me to stay in a different unit for one night (and then move). I had to be out for five hours in the middle of a day on which I needed to work remotely. I said I would make the change but expected some discount for having to cancel meetings and change the whole day around. They replied they would look into it but have not responded on provided any refund. Also, the kitchen is missing key cooking items. No pans at all (several very cheap pots), no baking dish, no grater, no strainer, only one kitchen towel, etc. When I asked them to supply a pan and they said they would see what they could do and then never got back to me. Finally, the wifi they list does not work but when I asked about this the answer was that they could not help me - we had to talk to the concierge, who also was no help. We finally learned through other people who lived in the building that they all use a different, public wifi that wasn't provided to us. We were ultimately able to work from the unit. But the overall experience was that the management team did not make me whole over not providing the accommodations we paid for, and was not responsive to needs we had while at the unit.
