The carriage house far exceeded expectations! We had no issues with parking and the location was very safe and walkable, even at night! The free DOT was located less than a block away. Forsyth Park was less than a 5 minute walk. The garden leading up to the carriage house was very serene and the fountain was an added bonus. We will definitely stay again!!

Delightful place to stay. I think what would have been very helpful, is a write-up regarding parking restrictions nearby and helpful hints for parking in Savanah. That was the one stressor for me during my stay. Thank you!

We had to enter from the alley in the back. It opened to a beautiful Courtyard with plants and a fountain, but it was dark and we could not determine easily which door was our unit. When we found it, we went in and it was very dark inside. There was no overhead light, but there were lamps and one of the lamps had no light bulb. We left a message at the number directed and they called back shortly after saying someone would deliver a light bulb the next day, but we never got the light bulb. It was frustrating to never hear back.

This little carriage house was ideal for downtown sites! We had a great stay and would book again. Only downside was not having a second mirror for getting ready!

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at this location for 2-nights. It was an OK place but definitely did not exceed our expectations. We had issues locating the place (pics may help) ... the TV did not work for us & a message left with the office was never returned... the mattress has seen better days (like another reviewer commented, our backs were killing us every morning).On the pro-side, the place is conveniently located (we walked everywhere)... it was ready earlier than the normal check-in time... the bathroom is modern but don't expect any water pressure in the shower... Parking is metered and needs to be extended every 2-hours... not great when you're on a tour and have to remember to do that.As I initially stated, an OK kind of a place...

Fabulous property! Location was perfect, parking was easy and readily available. Property was easy to find and self check in was a breeze. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. Would definitely stay here again.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First time being disappointed with a VRBO rental. Stain on rug and couch, missing lightbulb in lamp, wrong toilet seat, no laundry as indicated in description, and kitchen?? , just microwave, coffee pot and small sink. Location was nice area in historic section, just note that you will enter property from an alley and there are steps to the rental property.

Shops nearby yes. River St doable walk but a car would have helped. However I’m pretty healthy so the walking was great for me. Maybe not others. The internet was so intermittent it was frustrating to try to watch TV. And again maybe I couldn’t figure it out but there wasn’t access to regular TV stations. I like to watch TV at night. The coffee maker didn’t work unless I couldn’t figure it out. They should invest in a small Krueger. I rated 3 regarding contact with property manager. I called about the TV but did not get a return call. Otherwise there was no reason to contact them.

This place was perfect for a long weekend in Savannah. It was just what we needed for our getaway. It was pretty clean, couple stains on the couch from is probably wear and tear, the bathroom floor could have been swept a little better, but otherwise it was pristine. The only concern I had is in regards to check-in. The initial email I received when I booked the stay said that I would receive two emails, one prior to my stay, in addition to the one confirming my stay, plus one after 10 AM the day of check-in. The email said that the one prior to my stay would include check-in information. When I reached out to the host the morning of our check-in about the hoping to just drop our luggage in the apartment prior to check-in, I felt I was treated in a rude manner. They were more than happy to let me put my luggage there and told me I needed to enter through the lane. At this point, I didn’t have any directions about the check-in process (it wasn’t past 10 yet but I should have received another email) so I wasn’t sure what they meant, when I inquired about it, I was told to follow the directions and given a sassy response. Sure enough after 10 AM I got all of the check-in directions that I needed, and everything was smooth from there. I did reach out letting them know I was all set, but never heard back.

Great location and sweet apartment. I didn’t mind the steel stairs outside in the garden to get to the place but for older folks or people who walk with a cane it may be tricky. (I’m 67 and was VERY careful especially when raining.) The place is roomy with plenty of room for two people. Parking was easy. A local filled me in- use the local Savannah one QR code (no app required- browser fine) posted on the meter for remote refilling- the other one required an app and no remote refilling. I would def rebook again.

Pros: The location was perfect for exploring the historic district, quiet, nicely decorated, and the host was very responsive when we had trouble with the door.Cons: The TV is in the middle of the room and doesn’t rotate to face either the bed or the couch, which made watching TV very difficult. Also, for us the bed was very uncomfortable (too soft and sunk in center). Our backs were killing us every morning. We ended up leaving a day early and switching to a hotel.If the owner invests in a memory foam mattress and a TV mount that swivels, this place would be 5 stars.
