It was a nice stay. Would stay again.

The cabin was nice, well maintained, and easy to find. We really enjoyed our time. The bedrooms, living areas were great. Only downside, there seemed to be an issue with the well water, we couldn't drink it, and it smelled foul like copper/metal. Too salty to drink, we had to buy our own water to drink and cook with. However, that issue asie, it was a great place and we would stay again.

Had a great weekend stay. Definitely do recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get up there as it’s a bit of a steep drive to get to the cabin. But worth it. Water pressure was a little wacky at some points but overall we had an amazing time.

Felt like home

Once you walked into the front door, the entire place opened up. It was amazing! Large rooms and very spacious. The kitchen had all the pots, pans, utensils, plates and bakeware you could ever need. It really was, just like being at home. Our two teenaged boys loved that each got their own bathrooms and floors to themselves, the loft and basement! And standing on the porch, reading or drinking and listening to pure nature was beautiful. We will be coming back to Hickory House!

The cabin was in a great location to do the things we wanted to do

The cabin was located in an area where it was easy to get to the hikes we wanted to do, some of the area restaurants, antique stores & petting zoo. Everyone also really enjoyed the nightly unwinding in the hot tub

great location

A beautiful property in the country that was very relaxing for the whole family.

There was plenty of room with a relaxing hot tub and a secluded pond for fishing. On rainy days we took advantage of the Wi-Fi which we had no problems with. Very beneficial. Any questions or promptly answered. Very easy to book our stay along with easy check in and easy check out.

I honestly felt that the accommodations were not full filled because there weren't enough sleeping arrangements, and that was even when 2 of the guests couldn't make it. And we weren't informed about the cabin not having enough extra blankets and pillows, and we weren't asked to bring any extra. We were not told about having well water or the fact of the water pressure being next to none. A beautiful cabin but not so well on everything else

The cabin is cozy and well furnished. However we experienced unreliable water pressure with the water running as if there was air lot of air in them. the cabin is nice and secluded up in the woods however it maybe difficult for smaller vehicles to make it up the hill to get there. The owner was very responsive and offered a gift basket due to our issues. Overall I would recommend this place for a short stay.

Relaxing

It was cozy. The place was clean and private. The first night, we lost power due to the high winds. My contact person was very attentive. Never felt like we were on our own. He or she made sure we would be updated ASAP.
