You may be surprised how peaceful life can be with distant neighbors and a large yard to enjoy. No worries about disturbing your neighbors if you choose to play a yard game or socialize outside.
The kitchen is well stocked with everything you will need to entertain a large group or simply prepare family meals. There is seating for twelve in the dining area, and another table with seating for eight available upon request. During the summer months, there is outdoor seating available as well. There is a new Weber gas grill and a meat market with local meats within a 15 minute drive from the house. Relax in front of a Smart TV in the comforts of the cozy living room; WiFi provided.
This older farmhouse has five private bedrooms with a full bath on each of the two floors. There is one queen bedroom located on the main floor, and four spacious bedrooms upstairs: two queens and two doubles. One of the upstairs bedrooms has an additional set of twin bunk beds and another has a pack-and-play. Comfortable sleeping for 12!
Ruthie’s Farmhouse Inn is in the middle of nowhere but not far from several wonderful small towns, each having great downtown shopping and dining establishments. It is 25 minutes from Princeton, 30 minutes from Dixon, and 35 minutes from LaSalle-Peru. There are several local bar-and-grills within a 15-minute drive from the farmhouse.
Ruthie’s Farmhouse has been in my husband’s family for five generations. Troy and I have recently purchased this farm and renovated the farmhouse with modernized electricity, plumbing, and technology. We have decided to share this home that holds so much family and farm history with anyone looking to enjoy a true farmland experience! We hope you enjoy your stay!
