Excellent location. Very close to grocery store and 3 minutes to the beach. Pool was good for smaller kids. Plenty of space inside and outside. Game room was nice.

Our stay was delightful. The location of the rental was as good as it gets and the home was spacious and clean. The only downside was how challenging it was for a family of 12 to cook/prepare meals due to an inoperative oven and microwave. The host was very generous and offered alternatives, but unfortunately they couldn't really remedy a non-working oven. Despite those challenges, our family had a wonderful stay and would recommend this property to anyone looking for a beachfront, family-friendly stay.

This home was the perfect place for our extended family to gather and recharge. The number of bedrooms and bathrooms allowed us all to enjoy some privacy and to let the night owls stay up and the morning folks start their day without disturbing the others. Close access to the beach, grocery store, coffee shop, and restaurants was an added bonus. We could walk almost anywhere we wanted to go. In addition to the beach, we enjoyed the pool, the grill, the game room, the fire pit, the upper deck for sunrise/set and exercise, and the large dining room for shared meals and card games. The furniture and decor added to the beauty and comfort of the home, and the 2 laundry areas were greatly appreciated.

Beach/Golf Vacation

We had an amazing golf week at Serene Oasis. This luxury property is an absolute home run. Everything you could need under one roof and then some. The heated pool, observation deck, and putting green made for the perfect retreat after a day on the course. The game room — pool table, shuffleboard, and Xbox Live — kept the fun going all night. Multiple golf courses nearby and great restaurants within walking distance made the whole trip incredible. Can’t wait to come back!

Our family of 9 ages 3 to 81 enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. Generous room for all. Kids loved the pool even on some cold December days. And Nana enjoyed watching them play from the warmth of the downstairs den. Convenient location and very well stocked home.

Best Family Vacation (again)!

What a truly special place — we loved Serene Oasis so much when we stayed last year, and somehow we loved it even more this year! Coming back felt like returning to somewhere we already adored, but the new games room was the perfect addition. The kids were absolutely in awe — between the arcade games, pool table and everything else on offer, they could have happily spent the entire holiday in there! As a family group, the house is simply perfect for every age. The pool, beach, games room and beautiful outdoor spaces kept everyone entertained, while there are endless wonderful spots to relax, whether you want to be part of the action or escape to a quiet corner. The house itself is exceptional. The interiors are beautiful, thoughtful and incredibly comfortable, with so many luxurious touches that it genuinely feels more like a five-star retreat than a rental. The bedrooms and bathrooms are gorgeous, and the attention to detail throughout is second to none. We also love the setting — the views, the privacy, the sunsets and sunrises, and the wonderfully easy walk to the beach. Everything you could possibly need for a perfect beach holiday is provided, and then some. We were so grateful to have come back this year and make another set of very special family memories. If anything, Serene Oasis has become even more wonderful since our first stay. We absolutely cannot recommend it highly enough — and we are already hoping to return again next year!

My family gathered here to celebrate my 60th birthday, and we couldn’t have been more pleased with this beautiful home! The cleanliness and close attention to luxury details just blew us away and we spent the first few hours walking around the house saying: Wow! Look at this! We especially loved that there were so many little quiet spaces to gather if someone wanted alone time, but big gathering spaces for the family too. (Personally I also appreciated that the game room seemed to be soundproof, which was an unexpected plus. Several of us would play pool and watch TV late into the night and those sleeping upstairs heard nothing.) And those beautiful pink sunrises on the beach! I can’t say enough great things about this house and my experience with the host. Each time I reached out to ask a question via the app, I had an answer often within minutes. Great experience all around!

A multi generational memory catcher

A gift of a property in a magical spot for all the family. We spent an August week here with three generations of our family. There is a bounty of carefully curated, generous space both inside and out. Views out to the ocean across the dunes, sunset, sunrise and an easy stroll to the beach (trolley, beach chairs, toys all catered for). Incredibly thoughtful, and beautifully designed interiors - attention to detail is superb and ensures a calm, serene atmosphere. Super comfortable king size beds in all rooms (other than the kids room - which had large bunk beds which they loved) with gorgeous bathrooms. There is something for everyone, including tvs galore (cleverly disguised as artwork) with Xbox’s available (kids were very happy), board games and weights to get some exercise in. Lots to play with outside - comfortable sun loungers, many shaded options, a sun-drenched pool area, a putting green and a fire pit - s’mores anyone? Super conveniently located for broader Oak Island exploring, it is also primed for Caswell Beach, Southport and Bald Head Island. Very private location, even the beach area was less crowded near the house. We are very grateful for the time we had at this property, its charm, and natural ability to lend itself to such wonderful memories. Could not recommend it highly enough. It has everything you can possibly need and more. Very spoiling. We hope to come back next year!

Serene Oasis is stunning!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Perfect Beach House Getaway! We just wrapped up an incredible week at this stunning beach house and couldn’t be happier with our choice. Every detail exceeded our expectations. The interior design is absolutely impeccable - thoughtfully curated with a sophisticated coastal aesthetic that feels both luxurious and welcoming. The kitchen is a chef’s dream, fully equipped with everything you could possibly need and spacious enough for multiple people to cook together without getting in each other’s way. The elegant dinnerware and serving pieces made our family meals feel like special occasions every night. But the real showstopper is the incredible rooftop deck. The views are simply breathtaking, and I started each morning with yoga up there watching the sunrise over the ocean - pure magic! The rooftop quickly became our favorite gathering spot for evening cocktails and stargazing. Speaking of gathering spaces, this house truly shines in offering multiple comfortable areas for groups of all sizes. Whether we wanted intimate conversations on the charming porch swing or larger group gatherings, there was always the perfect spot both inside and outside. The king beds were very spacious and comfortable - we all slept like babies every night. Each bedroom features its own spacious, luxurious bathroom that feels like a private spa retreat. The attention to detail in these bathrooms is incredible, with high-end fixtures, beautiful tilework, and plenty of space to get ready without feeling cramped. Having dedicated bathrooms for each bedroom made our group stay so much more comfortable and convenient. The elevated pool area with its beach views provided the perfect afternoon retreat, and our college-age son was thrilled to discover Xbox Live for those occasional rainy moments. This property perfectly balances luxury with comfort and offers something special for every member of the family. We’re already planning our return visit next year. serene oasis

Great house. Fully equipped for cooking and beach. Very generous owners who thought of everything you need. Easy walk to beach. Great deck furniture and plenty of decks for shade or quiet getaway or roof top deck to catch the ocean breezes. Highlights of house are the pool (great for all ages either a 1 foot shallow end for toddlers. I could go on and on!! Thank you owners

This house was perfect for our large family of 14. It is true when it says Just pack your suitcase! The owners have furnished this house with every possible thing you could need. The attention to detail is beyond impressive! From fully stocked kitchen with spices, all the laundry supplies supplied, bath and shower better than a 5 star hotel, to everything you need for a full day at the beach, it is covered! So much more I can’t mention it all. We have vacationed in OKI for over 17 years and this by far was the most beautiful, enjoyable experience we have ever had. We are already booked again for next year!

This house was absolutely incredible! We had a group of 10 for a bachelorette party and loved how comfortable everyone could be! Each room had an en-suite with beautiful bathrooms. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, the outdoor patios, and the comfortable living room. The kitchen/grill set up was perfect for grilling out. The beach was only a 5 minute walk which was super convenient. The house was well stocked with beach chairs, wagons, coolers which made for the perfect beach trip. We absolutely loved it!

Best group trip we've ever taken

Our group of friends had been talking about doing a big beach trip for years, and Serene Oasis finally made it happen. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this place was built for exactly what we had in mind: good friends with nowhere to be but together. The heated pool on the second floor was the heart of the whole trip. We were in and out of it all day, and the lounge area right next to it made it feel like we had our own private resort. Watching the sun go down over the ocean from the third-floor sun deck is something I won't forget anytime soon. The 3,500 square feet of decking means you never feel crowded, even with a full house. Everyone found their own spot, whether that was the rockers, the lounge chairs up top, or the fire pit at night. What really impressed us was how thoughtful everything was. Every bedroom had its own bathroom, which sounds like a small thing until you've stayed at a place where twelve people share two showers. The chef's kitchen was stocked better than most people's homes. We cooked most of our meals there, and it never felt like a hassle. The game room kept us entertained on a rainy afternoon. Twelve beach chairs waiting in the garage meant we just grabbed and went, no coordinating a gear run. These owners genuinely thought of everything. Oak Island itself was a perfect backdrop: laid back, uncrowded, and just a three-minute walk to the water. We day-tripped to Southport one afternoon and loved it. But honestly, the house was so good we barely wanted to leave it.
