We only spent the one night, but I wish we could have stayed longer. The place was larger than we were expecting and would be suitable for several days stay. It was easy to find, in a beautiful setting, and the horses and donkeys next door were very friendly and a delight to wake up to.

Our family had an amazing time at this property! The views of the mountains right out of the window along with the wildlife that we got to see right around the Cody WY area were fantastic. The property was very clean and well taken care of and had everything that our family of seven needed to enjoy ourselves. Our children enjoyed getting to see and pet the horses and donkeys the most. The host went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. I would 100% recommend stay here and if we make it back to the area we will stay here again!

Our family had a wonderful stay in this very clean home with beautiful mountain views. The owners were very responsive. We loved seeing the horses. We can’t wait to stay here again.

Clean, comfortable and just what we needed. The drop of one star was the bedrooms were hot in the evenings, and made sleeping an issue. Fans were provided and greatly appreciated. I think anything below 80 before 9pm would have been helpful.

Making Memories

This was a super neat place. We enjoyed visiting with the owner and listening to his suggestions for our trip to Yellowstone. He knows his stuff. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again. The house is as described. It has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The beds are very comfortable. We loved watching antelope and deer while drinking our coffee. The host is great!

Photos are not an accurate depiction of the property. The hot tub is not private at all. The rental is in a workshop that was actively being used…we heard power tools until after normal business hours. The door to the shop did not lock making the rental accessible to whoever was in the shop. The air conditioner did not work at all…had to sleep with windows open and bring in an exterior fan we had with us. When asking the owner about the air, her response was “cold shower”. There were also ants in the bathroom. Would not recommend!

Woah! Thanks for the terrible review. First off it’s not a work shop and forcibly forced your way into the second laundry room/ mudroom and the lady that was there was not owner at all. It’s not an active workshop, the lady was fixing the folding table for laundry. The hot tub is shared with the house it clearly says that in the description.. You are beyond disrespectful and completely not an accurate representation and you left the heat on 88 when you left just to be rude. So yeah thanks for being an awful guest.

So as we were checking in, it was about 90 outside and we noticed the house was very hot, approached the host Robert and he explained to us that we just have to give the air conditioner a little more time. bottom line there is no central air at this house, there is just air conditioners in each room portable air conditioners, it ended up that they were absolutely fine it was just sort of the rudeness how he handled it and told us we had to go find a hotel after we had already unpacked our whole car we are 70 years old we are not going to pack our whole car and go find a hotel, especially since we booked 6 months in advance at least if not more! If he would have just been up front with us and explained to us how it works with the portable air conditioners we would have been just fine, it ended up we are just fine but he just needs to be honest with his customers, But the horses were great, the land is great, the house is clean, the beds were very comfortable the bathroom is very nice, Tristan was amazing she helped us with a lot of stuff and answered a lot of questions, and we got to feed the horses because she told us we could, all in all it was a beautiful stay and the house was great! Wait, I forgot the kitchen chairs could be replaced they're falling apart!

After all of that and service calls, it turns out that if the AC doesn’t run all day the pipes heat up that are in the attic and it’s extremely hot up there. When the air turns on, the air comes through the vents as hot as it is in the attic. There is central air, the portable AC units are helpers in each room. It has a brand new roof and when it was a metal roof I didn’t have this issue, now it’s a black roof and it gets super hot where all the AC ducts are. I offered the guests to stay at a hotel and refund their stay. It was 76 inside and 85 outside when they arrived. Between the door being open in packing bags annd the AC starting up it wasn’t instantly 68 degrees like they wanted. And when they turned on the AC it heated the house up. I mitigated the issue almost immediately. I understand this was frustrating, but I couldn’t have responded any quicker as I was on site. I also couldn’t have offered a better deal. I try to have the house at temperature using a smart thermostat, when it’s hot outside. It’s not reasonable to keep the house at 68 when no one is there. I’m going to get mini splits for each room to mitigate the temperature fluctuations. Its now fall and AC is no concern. Thank you for your stay.

Our stay here was very convenient for our weekend getaway in Cody. The host is easy to communicate with and kind enough to allow you to check out the animals on his property. At the time of our stay he had a rescued mustang foal he was fostering. We didn’t spend much time at the rental, because we were just so busy in town, so we only slept there and it was how it was described in the listing and in others reviews. Great, easy stay for an overnight trip! Thanks again!

Everything was okay upon check in but went downhill quickly. The front door was difficult to close and was very loud when it was windy. The door to the host's shop did not have a lock or anything for safety, so they could come in at any point if they wanted to. The air-conditioning did not cool the house. It would turn on and run for hours but the temperature did not lower. The first night we were there, mice got into our food. The host said they would lay out extra traps but never did. Also the hot tub was not available and we were not notified ahead of time. This ended up turning into a huge deal. The host tried to say they sent out a message before hand and then admitted that we were not included in the message. They also tried to say the broken part was on the way and implied that it could be fixed before the end of our stay, but never gave us any updates. I followed up a few times and the hot tub never got fixed. Since the hot tub was one of the main reasons we booked with this host, we requested a partial refund which the host initially agreed to over chat and then declined once we were actually going through the process with Vrbo. Once I brought all of this up to Vrbo they gave us 30 back and stopped responding to us at all. Also the host got pretty aggressive when I made a complaint about the hot tub. I'm glad I waited until checkout to ask for the partial refund because I would not have felt comfortable in their home after their aggressive responses.

You are dishonest and not welcome back. You extorted a refund and even said if I gave you a refund you would leave a great review. All your feedback is out of not getting a 33% refund! And honestly you’re my worst guest to date! Can’t believe you troll property’s looking for refunds. I hope I’m the last property you try this with.

Comfortable for our family 4. My teenageer slept on the fold out couch that inflated and he was comfortable for our 11 day stay. The rooms were bigger than I thought they would be in the pictures. It was a beautiful view for the mountains from the living room.

Property was beautiful & clean. We got in a little late in the evening so we didnt get to see a lot of the Property. The air seemed to not be working (the panel said not connected to wifi) but because of how late we got there we didnt want to wake up the owner. We opened the window to sleep which was just as good. Overall great place and convenient location right by Cody WY

I love the private road with quick access to town with all the out of town feels

Derfor er dette overnatningssted unikt

The views and proximity to town. You get all the amenities of being only 6.5 miles to major stores, fuel. Secluded on the south fork and still quick access to Yellowstone, the rodeo and Cody’s. You can see Buffalo bill reservoir from the porch and be to the state park in less than 5 minutes.
