Beacon Hill Retreat, Seattle, near Light Rail - no car required!

Spotless modern daylight studio apartment in 1901 Craftsman home - walk to light rail, stadiums, restaurants, parks, Chinatown & downtown. Just 2 light rail stoops from soccer, baseball and football stadiums and less than 15 minutes to downtown!

Please include in your request, some information about yourself, your travels and plans. This helps us know if our home will be a good fit for your visit to Seattle.

We are open to longer-term stays in off-season - message me about availability.

Light rail from airport: 3 blocks from station, 5 min from stadiums, 12 min to downtown. Free on-street parking, but why bother with a car when it's so easy to get around and save $s for tourist attractions.

We welcome guests of all races, religions, countries of origin and are LGBTQIA+ friendly.

The studio:
High quality furniture, fixtures and appliances in this cozy daylight basement apartment make your stay feel like home. Large windows let in the light, yet it's very private and tranquil for a romantic touristy stay, or home away from home for a longer business trip.

Guest access is to the side of the house via a stone pathway and a few stairs. You can enjoy access to the back yard and a covered under-deck patio seating area.

Other things to note:
We live upstairs so you may hear us walking around a bit or the water running after 7am. But we are conscious of your peace and make every effort to be considerate while you enjoy your vacation down time. There is lots of insulation in your ceiling so noise is minimal. Please text us in the unlikely event your peace and quiet is disrupted!

Allison was a spectacular host, the apartment was lovely- clean and had all the little touches to make your stay extra special. We had a great visit. The location was within walking distance to the metro station and great dining, coffee shops and grocery store. We would recommend to friends and will be staying again.

What a perfect place with a perfect host! We will definitely stay here again. Just three blocks to restaurants, groceries and the light rail. The accommodations were perfect with a fully appointed kitchen and bathroom, living area and bedroom spaces. And you cannot go wrong with this host who goes out of the way to he sure your stay is wonderful.

Positives from when I stayed:* 4 blocks from LR station* Space was tidy, faces away from street for good privacy* Rental had many niceties like welcome snacks, body wash, floss, a razor, exercise mat, detergent, tupperware, foil, cling wrap, baking parchment, shopping bags, etc* Hosts were broadly available, responsive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the area, upcoming events, venues, restaurants, etc. I checked out some things they recommended and was not disappointed.* Checkout process was simple, especially compared to other places I've stayed, where there's a relatively long list to check and double check before locking up* The main host was very flexible and helped whenever I asked; I needed small amounts of a few things like cinnamon and baking soda and found these brought down with no hesitation.Caveats:* If you are a lighter sleeper, know the hosts live on the above floors. They were not loud, but I occasionally heard morning/evening routines, vacuuming, etc. Consider bringing headphones for sleep or a white noise machine.Aside: I recommend Seattle public transit esp. if you're budget-conscious / won't have a car. When I stayed, using public transit was 6 per day, as the transit system did not offer weekly or multi-day passes you activate once and keep using. If you want to ride light rail, bus, water taxi and/or ferry all in one day, you'll want an ORCA card as the phone-app approach would lock me into one mode of transportation each day

This lovely little retreat worked great for our visit to Seattle. I had decided not to rent a car and the location of this home to the trains worked perfectly. The trains were easy to use and got us everywhere we wanted to go throughout Seattle. The pretty little deck outside our door was perfect for my morning coffee and our hosts were full of help and recommendations. The area has a bunch of great restaurants. You will not be disappointed with this location.

My mom and I loved staying here! Very convenient location in Beacon Hill. We walked to Fresh Flours for coffee and to the light rail for our adventures around the city. This place had everything needed to have a wonderful stay including a lovely bathroom with large shower, kitchen utensils, umbrella and TV apps for unwinding after a busy day. Would definitely recommend staying here and we’re looking forward to staying here again in the future! Wonderful, responsive hosts!

Everything you need for a stay in Seattle

I stayed here a couple of years ago (under the "other" vacation stay app) and remembered it and Allison (Super Host!). Allison's place has all the little things you need and hope to find in your vacation rental; bed, bath And kitchen. Location is GREAT for access to the light rail and quick ride to downtown and sites. Bed is comfortable and everything is cozy. Several cute restaurants that are walkable. Would recommend, for sure!

Allison & John’s property is wonderful! The neighborhood is very quiet and easily walkable. No need for a car, the Link Line is just up the hill and can get you to almost anywhere you want to go in the city. The space that is provided is very well thought out and extremely comfortable! We only used the kitchen once, but wished we had more time to cook. Everything you could possibly need is provided in the kitchen. Rainfall shower head is a great treat after a long day, out and about the city. Allison provides so many extras, that we are now spoiled by her VRBO experience! Her thoughtful details made our stay amazing!

Easy stay, the place is clean and close to the light rail for easy access everywhere. Bathroom and Kitchen staples were stocks which is always very appreciated! Seperate entrance from the main home made coming and going easy and we didn't have to worry about bothering the host.

I can’t imagine having stayed in a better location! Despite our late night arrival, Allison made sure we got in okay and gave us a quick tour of the place. She had a guide book prepared that gave incredible instructions for using public transit, as well as a huge library of places to visit and see organized in several different ways!The property was very near and clean, making our stay quite comfortable and pleasant. The light rail station is truly just a short walk away, and so is a good deal of great food and coffee options!This place is a must stay for those traveling to the Seattle area. Thank you for making our trip so wonderful, Allison!

John and Allison were warm, personal, and very accommodating hosts. The apartment was very clean, comfortable, and located in a very safe neighborhood. I love Beacon Hill for its diversity, proximity to downtown, relaxed residential vibe and the easy walk to one of the best restaurant neighborhoods in town.

Besides having a comfortable and attractive apartment to stay in, being so close to light rail makes vacation and/or work travel incredibly easy and convenient. Public transit or a short Uber ride are also very easy for the many hospital and medical facilities in the city. Message me for more info.
