About this space
Harbor House is located in the city of Harrisville along the shore of Lake Huron. With beautiful sweeping views of the lake, this property is perfect for relaxing. Sip morning coffee on the deck while watching boats cruise in & out of the harbor and watching the moon rise over the water. Newly renovated mainfloor, kitchen, master bedroom/bath. Walking distance to coffee, ice cream shops, biking, hiking & the beach. Perfect for families with plenty of spacious accomodations.
The space
This is whole house on the lake! The mainfloor has been completely updated for a modern classic experience. Newly updated kitchen with lots of gourmet equipment & cooking gear if that's your thing.
This is a whole house on the lake located just south of the Harrisville Harbor.
The mainfloor is open and spacious with views of the lake from almost every angle. The open floor plan offers plenty of room to spread out and relax while enjoying lake views. Main floor has a master bed/bath, kitchen, dining and living area. Also mudroom and laundry area. There is an attached 2 car garage.
Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms and a full bath.
The large deck off the dining and master bedroom is the perfect setting for sharing meals and relaxing.
There is a gas grill with propane tank to add to your outdoor eating on the deck.
A very large yard for playing games and a feeling of privacy.
There are bikes and beach chairs in the garage to enjoy on the beach and around town. Access to the beach requires a slight hike down the embankment in front of the house and a hike back up. There are no stairs or groomed path.
This is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the view!
Guest access
The entire house and yard is for guests. The house is located on the lake with an embankment which lends itself to incredible views! Access to the beach requires a hike down a steep incline and a hike back up. There are no stairs or groomed path. If easier access is what you need, there is a lovely public beach at the State Park that is easily accessible, no stairs or a hill to climb and is very close to this property.
Other things to note
A recently updated kitchen with gourmet gear provides all you need to cook and entertain your crew!
Please understand this property is in a quiet neighborhood and respecting that is expected of all guests.

Our grandsons loved being there. House was spacious, had every I thing we need , was very clean and a great view of Lake Huron.

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was exactly as pictured and described, and everything met our expectations. Communication with the host was excellent from start to finish. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back!

The house is beautiful. Everything makes you feel at home. The master bed is extremely comfortable The only downside is the more than a "slight" decline to the beach, especially in the morning after a rain with a cup of coffee in hand

Everything was heavenly! Our host, the house, the accommodations within the house, the view, the beach... we loved everything about it! We highly recommend this gorgeous home for a refreshing, quiet get-away and look forward to returning for another vacation here ourselves.

This property is FANTASTIC. The views of Lake Huron are incredible and the views are from nearly every room. The owners were very attentive to anything we needed. The House is so beautiful and relaxing. The house is off the main road so it is very quiet and the town is very small. The kitchen is very well equipped so we did a lot of cooking. This place is absolutely wonderful!

Amazing property and location!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home. The house was spotless, comfortable, and perfectly set up for a relaxing getaway. The view of Lake Huron was absolutely breathtaking—we woke up early each day just to catch the sunrise. The beach was quiet, clean, and so much fun for the whole family. We also loved how peaceful and serene the property and surrounding area felt—it was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. The owner was friendly, responsive, and made everything easy. We’re already planning our return trip!

The house was very clean, spacious and had an incredible view of Lake Huron. We all kept saying that it felt like we were on the east coast. Communication was excellent and everything we needed was provided. There were even beach towels, chairs, an umbrella and any kitchen utensil or spice needed. The view from the back porch was truly breathtaking. I spent early mornings just soaking in the nature around me. We enjoyed grilling, paddle boarding, of course soaking in the sun. Getting down to the beach with our paddle boards was challenging but we did it and it helped us make more memories. We loved it so much we decided to add an another day onto our stay. Thank you Marie and Teri. We will be back.

Just returned from 12 days at Harbor House (3 adults), and had a wonderful time! It’s a beautiful home in a beautiful spot. We found Harbor House to be well stocked with supplies and every piece of kitchen equipment we needed. We mostly spent our days watching Lake Huron, either from inside or out on the very large deck. We’re going to miss that view! We ate out twice at the nearby Alcona Brew Haus which has an amazing allergy-friendly menu. But mostly we just hung out at “home” and relaxed. Hope to be back some day!

We stayed here over the 4th of July weekend for 4 days. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean upon arrival, the check in/ out was seamless. And the property owner/ manager were very responsive to any of our needs, although we didn’t find anything once on site that we really needed. The house is well stocked with just about anything you can think of for enjoying your time inside/ outside. The only recommendations I could make would be for easier access to the beach (stairs), as there’s a pretty significant hill to access the beach, and a permanent firepit in the back yard for good conversation and s’mores as the day is winding down. We brought a solo stove which the owner/ manager was 100% okay with. All things considered, this was one of the best properties we’ve stayed at. Thank you!

The house was light and bright and very clean and comfortable. There were gorgeous views of the lake from nearly every room of the home. The kitchen was well stocked with ample available cookware and kitchenware to accommodate many guests at a time which is very convenient and makes the stay much easier. This is not always the case at rentals so it was much appreciated. The kitchen and its contents were also very clean. The beds were extremely comfortable which made our stay even better. There is ample closet storage and it felt very homey overall. If we are traveling in this area of Michigan in the future, we will most definitely make this our stay destination! The host was very responsive to our questions and our stay was a 10 out of 10!

Quiet, beautiful and comfortable house! The views were amazing! Perfect spot for traveling to other towns nearby. There is a lot to do, great restaurants in Tawas and Alpena. Tawas lighthouse is a must see. Only draw back was no steps to the private shore, hopefully will have soon.

This rental was on a nice location. The hosts had everything you could imagine! The place was really clean. Gorgeous! They had lawn games too. The bikes were a nice touch! The town is cute and we were there for the town garage sales and concert in the park. We enjoyed our stay with our two toddlers too. Lots of wildlife to see! Thank you to our hosts we had a blast!

This property was one of the best we have ever stayed at. It was very clean and had everything we needed and then some. Only suggestion is stairs to the beach. It is quite steep especially if you are carrying things down with you. Definitely not a deal breaker but I can see where some people would have trouble getting up and down.We did love this property quiet, peaceful and the view from the back deck is beautiful!

We like hosting because we get to share a property that has brought us lots of joy and memories as a family and believe others will find a similar experience at Harbor House.

The house is located in a quiet small town along the shorline of Lake Huron. It is within walking and biking distance of a sweet coffee & ice cream shop, a beautiful state park and a harbor that also offers concerts, a playground and a farmers market on Saturday mornings. The views of the lake are amazing from almost every room of the house and the scene is light, bright and open. We have had many relaxing days on the deck that start with coffee and trail into lunch. The kitchen, dining and living areas are open and all center around the view of the lake. It's amazing. The neighbors are all very nice and very quiet. We have known them for many years.

The house has been beautifully maintained and recently updated to host families and friends. It's unique position on the lake and in town are coveted. It is very relaxing and rejuvinating to stay at Harbor House becuase of the serenne beauty surrounding and within the house. The east facing position make for amazing sunrises and equally stunning moonrises at night. Their are lake views from nearly every room in the house.
