The home sits on approximately one-third of an acre overlooking a quiet bay connected to Lake Hayward, the Namekagon River, and the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway. The bay provides a natural habitat for waterfowl, birds, and other Northwoods wildlife.

Guests may enjoy colorful sunrises and sunsets, peaceful water views, star-filled skies, and—when conditions are right—the Northern Lights.

A private driveway provides parking for up to four vehicles.

Outdoor Living and Lake Access

Step through the dining room’s sliding glass door onto the spacious front deck overlooking the yard and water. The deck includes:

A private dock provides access for canoes, kayaks, and other small watercraft. Guests may bring their own small watercraft, and canoe or kayak rentals may be available through the hosts.

The natural shoreline is a wildlife area and does not have a swimming beach. Hayward City Beach and the public boat landing are approximately four minutes away by car. The park includes a swimming beach, playground, picnic area, public restrooms, boat landing, and accessible fishing dock.

A lakeside wood-burning fire pit with chairs offers another inviting place to gather and enjoy the Northwoods atmosphere.

The primary en suite bathroom includes a large jetted tub and shower combination. The centrally located second bathroom includes a tub and shower combination, toilet, and sink.

Permanent grab bars are installed in both bathrooms, and a shower seat may be available upon request.

Skylights in both bathrooms and the kitchen bring natural light into the home during the day.

The ranch-style floor plan keeps the bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, and laundry facilities on one level.

There are two steps leading to the main entrance, with handrails on both sides. A wooden ramp also connects the entrance sidewalk to the lake-facing deck. Although the ramp is not ADA-compliant, it may be helpful for guests with limited mobility.
