Everything about our stay was exceptional- the host was awesome sharing local attractions and the property was terrific - clean and well appointed!

Great guests. Left the house clean and in good order. Couldn’t even tell a pet was in the house. I would host them again anytime.

This location just fit our needs. Close to SFO but with coastal ambience. Great restaurants nearby, in particular Barbara’s Fish Trap. Minor issue were 3 missing chairs from the dining table but the host discounted the price because of that. We were able to get by with TV dinner tables. It was tucked away in a nice neighborhood and the few neighbors we did meet were nice and friendly. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet place on the coast but close to attractions of San Francisco. Thank you Jean.

This is a lovely, clean, safe and quiet place to stay in Montara. Lots of natural beauty all around and very close to the gorgeous beaches. The yard is huge and beautiful. There was a bad storm while we were there but Jean was super responsive when we needed assistance. She's a great host.

Very nice place

This property was clean and spacious. My family really enjoyed having space to spread out and feel at home. I will definitely use this property on my next visit.

Peaceful stay

We had a relaxing stay in Montara. Our dog loved the yard, we walked to the beach daily and enjoyed relaxing back at the VRBO. Very clean, quiet and spacious with very comfy master bed. Jean was a quick communicator and we hope to visit again.

We spent four nights here in this beautiful home mid- July ‘26 escaping the heat in the Central Valley. The house is very tastefully decorated, spacious and clean. Feels like home. We’ve stayed in many VRBO properties but have never had such great beds offered. So comfy. It is quiet here. The fenced yard is big and provided our Labradoodle much entertainment. The house is located close enough to walk to the beach, we drove down (we’re old) twice a day for glorious walks at low tide. Parking was always available. Montara State Beach is a beautiful setting and great dog friendly walking beach. The house and location are safe and secure. The house has steps at the front and back doors which could be hard to navigate for the disabled, but once inside all is accessible including a walk-in shower. The host is responsive and accommodating. We would recommend this place and would love to come back. There are no eatery offerings in Montara to recommend but there are many great spots a short drive away and the host has recommendations.

Great experience

We loved staying outside of San Francisco. We liked the location and could get to our destination with no problem. It was quiet and enjoyed the house.

Property was as advertised, meeting my family's needs. All items needed to have that cup of cafe in the morning then cooking breakfast through relaxing at night from a day of local adventures. Neighborhood was great for a stroll with our dog and taking in the scenery. Or as we did, 5 minute walk to the local hiking trails to walk into Montara state park for some fantastic views for easy or hard level hikes.

Super relaxing, very clean, organized, and thoughtfully-stocked home. GREAT parking! Yard is so well kept, managed, and it's large. The home appears as though it has had a fresh remodel. Lots of windows, light. Kitchen has lots of the basic supplies and a nice large table that can seat likely up to 6 comfortably. Kitchen does not have a microwave, but does have something cool that I've never used before that does many things (toasts, air-fry, bakes, roasts, etc.). There's a Keurig coffee maker; supplies were provided. So thoughtful. Beds ranged from firm to super soft (master). Host is an excellent communicator in so far as how things function. One can walk to the beach--it's really no big deal. Or drive down to it (down the hill) and hope for a parking spot. Quiet, seemingly safe neighborhood. Friendly neighbors. RECS: The master bath bed is super soft, yet one can lift their head and/or feet via the controls. It's too soft and needs to be re-assessed, changed out. Would be nice if a BBQ were available and/or a washer/dryer...as are nice amenities. We ran out of dishwasher soap and paper towels in the kitchen and thus needed to use the bath hand towels which was no big deal. Also, there were dishes in the dishwasher when we arrived, but again, no big deal.

Hey Steve- how about you check the exhaustive list of amenities before you book. In the listings no grill or Washer/Dryer were listed so that’s on you. Maybe I already pay more than I can charge in cleaning fees - much less getting my service to clean a grill used once a year and gets rusty in the salt air. You might think the bed is too soft but if you’d have asked me, I would have told you there’s 3” of memory foam on a brand new Saatva Matress that I found too hard. Then you could have taken the foam off and remade the bed to your satisfaction. Maybe you can keep your RECS to yourself and keep a list of your basic needs to be more discerning next time you book another place.
