For a big group this house was amazing - people were able to spread out and have their own space; and having a pool in this neighborhood was a game changer!

Great location with cool, secure NOLA style home with plenty of space and pool/hot tub. Large kitchen with amenities to cook or grill as much as desired. Bedrooms and beds are very comfortable. House is perfect for large families or group of friends.

This was the perfect home base for our group trip. The layout offered plenty of privacy, and the kitchen/living areas were great for hanging out together. We had a fantastic stay at this property! The house was exactly as described—clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The location was perfect for exploring the area, and the check-in process was seamless. We would definitely stay here again!

We had 10 peopleFor our 50th birthday trip stay here and it was amazing! Plenty of room, really comfortable beds! Walking distance to Frenchmen street was so easy! We do trips every year and it was so nice to have dinner seating for the accommodations of 12 people!!!! (Which is rare). Very New Orleans feel house!!

Amazing property which really brings the rich history of New Orleans to life! Beautifully appointed, with many thoughtful amenities. The pool and spa made for wonderful evenings and mornings during the warm weather.

We loved our stay in this wonderful home. It was a family trip with the cousins, there were 8 of us and we used all of the rooms. The decor was gorgeous and well curated. What the pictures don’t capture are the tall ceilings that make it feel even bigger. Yet, in its opulence, the home felt cozy and welcoming. Taking a dip or just dangling your feet in the pool was a great way to relax. The kitchen was well stocked so we generally used it for breakfast. All the beds got top ratings. The location was a great, central location as stated. The house is old and therefore has its quirks (some toilets need an extra jiggle, clawfoot tub shower was a bit claustrophobic with clingy shower curtain, but did have hot water). Also, watch out for the spiny caterpillars, especially next to the pool! The host was wonderful and responsive. Would definitely stay again!

The house was great. It would have been perfect if the HVAC was working. But it wasn’t. There were exposed wires on the condenser outside which make me believe the issue was not new. Repeated attempts to contact the host went unanswered. I was hoping for fans or a portable unit. No response. I waited almost a week to post this review hoping the host would reach out and maybe explain why it was not addressed or to reassure me that it was getting fixed before the next guest arrival. No such luck. It’s a shame. The house itself is probably my favorite of all vrbo rentals in NOLA. During milder weather it would be fine though. Double check the trash situation with the host before arrival. When we arrived the bins were already overflowing onto the deck. Fortunately we did not need that deck for our stay. But still quite untidy. Finally, bring your own toiletries. While some units provide soap etc., the supply here was sporadic, 2 bathrooms had “some” incomplete sets of shampoo-conditioner-body wash. We typically supply our own but here the supply was inadequate (even though we looked for extras in closets and utility room etc.)

The house is just beautiful and gorgeously decorated. The bedrooms were all comfortable and worked perfectly for our family of 6. The only hitch was that the lovely clawfoot tub and shower in one bedroom did not have hot water, but we very easily used one of the other bathrooms so it wasn't a big deal. The kitchen was wonderful, very large and fully equipped. Our teens really enjoyed using the pool and hot tub every evening to relax. The location was really nice too, it was an easy walk to the French Quarter and we also hopped the trolley for a ride to the Garden District and WWII museum. Our hosts were in contact frequently to make sure we were in good shape. I would definitely choose to stay here again the next time we are in New Orleans.

The home and furnishings are beautiful and reflective of the rich history of this home. And having a pool available during a hot Nola summer was wonderful. Unfortunately, that’s as far as the positives go for our stay. To start, the AC was not properly set to cool the home prior to arrival. It was 91 degrees to start. After HOURS of running the home could only cool to 86 and it was miserable for sleeping. If it weren’t for the window units in a few of the rooms, we would have had to leave. Making matters worse was the lack of or incredibly slow response from the host regarding our AC problem. Even then I was made to feel like we weren’t doing the right things to cool the house down properly. It wasn’t until the host physically came to the house that he understood the problem. He was kind and apologetic and offered solutions as well as a partial refund. He also indicated that he was already aware that one of the AC units needed to be replaced. It wasn’t until the day of checkout that the common downstairs areas cooled off enough for us to all sit together without sweating. This stay was supposed to be a fun time for family to celebrate my father’s 80th birthday. Was already challenging to get calendars synched then to not have a respite from the heat at the rental except for the pool was frustrating. Communication has been worse since leaving. More than a week after checking out, I still do not have a refund and communication with the host is beyond frustrating.

The heating in the pool and hot tub did not work at all, and the pool and pool surroundings were covered with leaves. The next to last day of our stay a man came to remove leaves from the pool but not the area around the pool. He could not fix the heating element for the pool and spa. The company whose phone number was on the heating element said that the heating element had not worked in a while as he had had many phone calls about it. Before we arrived I had been very specific with the owner about heating the pool and spa as the heating element never worked when we rented the house two years ago. I expect a 30% refund. Also the toilet in the back bathroom doesn’t flush , and the shower there doesn’t drain. The toilet in the downstairs master bath doesn’t flush properly. The house is in a good location and works well for a family. However, the owner is not maintaining it properly.

House was absolutely perfect for my group. A short walk to all the magic of Frenchmen street but far enough away that it was still peaceful. Would absolutely stay here again.

The property is a beautiful place. Immaculately maintained and kept. It’s on the National Registry of Historic Places. I would stay there again. Communication with the host was really horrible, we were waiting for hours with kids to get the check in info.

The best place to stay in NOLA! The house is even more beautiful in person. The neighborhood is great and my friedns and I felt safe the whole time! One of the best parts was Loretta's being one block away! Loretta's had the best beignets ever!
