New Rental: THE SALTY DOG! A 3 bedroom/2 bath dog-friendly house on a canal with a boat dock and private pool. Bring your boat! This home is just a 5 min boat ride away to Sarasota Bay and Jewfish Key. Close to IMG Academy. Sleeps 8 comfortably.

Dog friendly! Of course, The Salty Dog is dog friendly.
2 Dogs allowed under 50 lbs each (non-refundable deposit of $150 total). Dogs only.

Boat Dock: Bring your boat and tie off right at your own private dock (Room to moor boats up to 34' max). No fixed bridges to open water. Just a 5 minute boat ride to the tranquil waters of Sarasota Bay and the locally well known sandbar at Jewfish Key. This area is perfect for in-shore and off-shore fishing as well as dolphin/manatee sightings. No boat? You can easily rent one from several nearby locations or hire a charter or even a tiki boat ride. You can also fish right off of the dock at the house, so bring your poles!

This coastal themed property features 3 bedrooms - one with a King bed, one with a Queen bed, and one with a trundle bed (2 Twins), plus an additional space in the Florida Room with a Queen sleeper sofa bed, creating a relaxing space for 8 guests to sleep comfortably. This home also has 2 full bathrooms with shower and tub in both. Bath towels and bed linens are provided, as well as beach towels. Guests can enjoy amenities like having your own boat dock and private pool, full kitchen, washer/dryer, WiFi, plus Smart TVs in each bedroom as well as the living room and Florida Room. You're sure to make fantastic memories with a stay at The Salty Dog.

There are tons of wonderful restaurants in the area with fresh local seafood, as well as grocery stores nearby.

- Swordfish Grill and Tiki Bar
- Pesto Bistro and Wine Bar
- Pork Belly's Eatery
- Shore (Longboat Key, but only 5 minutes by boat)

If you have an adult group, you can make reservations to 88 Live Piano Bar (just a 7 minute drive from the house). Must be 21 and up. Great shows!

Parking on the property must fit on driveway. Home is located in a cul-de-sac and road cannot be blocked. There is room for 1 vehicle plus 1 boat trailer or 2 vehicles and no boat trailer comfortably. Could possibly fit more with smaller vehicles/trailer.

The property is amazing! The family had an amazing time. We were able to bring our boat and go explore the surrounding little islands and also went to the beaches. The house had everything we needed and morning. The pool was amazing and refreshing. The house was immaculate. We will definitely be returning since we’ve decided to add this to our yearly family vacation routine. Thank you again.

We had a fantastic stay at The Salty Dog. The property is spacious, recently renovated, and well equipped with everything we needed. The pool isn’t heated, something I missed in the listing, but we picked up wetsuits for the kids and enjoyed the sunny outside space.

The stay was beyond our expectations! Home was beautiful! Outside amenities were wonderful! Pool was huge but chilly! Lol Everywhere we went was easy to navigate and the restaurants were great. All yummy food. Tide Table was the best. Thank you for offering you’re home to us!

My husband and I just had the best week at this property! The house was gorgeous, exactly as it’s pictured. It’s so close to so many amazing beaches, Coquina is now my favorite. The pool isn’t heated but I was still able to float some days. Heather is a fantastic hosts to always answered of my questions in a timely manner. We hope to stay here again in the future!

Our stay was.everything.we had hoped for and much more. Have vacationed at many resort properties over the years, including 3 with VRBO, but this tops the list. Plan to.continue this form of get-a-way for years to come. No need to look elsewhere. We will be back. If you want a place to relax and unwind, it can't be beat and when you have a question or need something. Heather is the perfect host.

We had a 10 day vacation at the Salty Dog. This is our 6th year coming to the area and this was by far our favorite house we’ve stayed in. The layout of the house was perfect. The lanai was amazing and we loved the pool. The location is perfect for those bringing their boats to get to the sand bars, on the water restaurants, and beaches. We really loved how quick of a drive it was to get to the Bradenton beaches. We loved the tiki hut for grilling. We were able to keep cooking even when a Florida rain would pop up. There were plenty of beach towels available for use and additional linens and beddings. The only thing we missed was shade over the outdoor dining table but we were able to move some of the umbrellas around to get some shade while eating. Heather was an amazing host and checked in on us. She was very communicative. Five stars all the way around.

We had a wonderful stay at The Salty Dog. We've been down to Bradenton for IMG's soccer tournaments for 4 years now and this was our favorite rental. The house had a great open layout, more than enough room for our family of 4. The home had everything we needed: newer fridge, microwave, and washer/dryer. We loved the location, pretty much in the middle from Anna Maria Island and IMG. The communication with the host was easy and the check-in/out process was clearly detailed. We would definitely stay at The Salty Dog again!

Annual beach vacation

The Salty Dog was perfect for our 4 teenage boys and 2 dogs. We could easily bike to the beach and several restaurants. The house was well equipped with all the amenities needed to fix meals at home. A great time was had by all.

Our stay at The Salty Dog was fantastic. The house had everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. Whether hanging out around the pool or fishing off the dock, our family had a great time. The house is located in a safe, quiet and friendly neighborhood close to beaches and restaurants. There is so much to do nearby, that is if you want to leave the house. Heather is an awesome host. She was very responsive and always made sure we had everything we needed. Wish we could have stayed longer. I highly recommend staying at The Salty Dog!

This place is AMAZING!! The house is so nice!! My husband and our 2 boys stayed for Thanksgiving week. We were able to bring our boat and dock it right at the house so we were able to use it everyday, just a 10 minute boat ride out of the canals to crystal clear water! We caught trout, snapper, pompano, and snook! The pool and house were really nice and clean. Kitchen was fabulous to cook Thanksgiving dinner in! The beds and bedding are very comfortable.

We can’t say enough about our stay! Close to everything we could need or want! We enjoyed lunch and dinner out, grabbed Boba on our way to do some shopping, had a great run at Robinson preserve and popped over to the beach in a matter of minutes! The house is clean and very comfortable, we had everything we needed to cook and bake a birthday cake for our daughter. Our kids loved fishing off the dock and swimming in the pool. We will definitely be back!

We just returned from a wonderful two-week stay at this home in Bradenton, FL, and we couldn’t be happier. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, everything was excellent.The house itself is beautiful—clean, spacious, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we could possibly need for an extended stay. The layout was perfect for relaxing, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen made cooking easy (which we did a lot of during our two weeks).The host was outstanding. Communication was quick, clear, and friendly the entire time. We had a few small mechanical issues that we resolved immediately and they were super apologetic!The location in Bradenton is ideal. Quiet neighborhood, yet only minutes from the beach, great restaurants, shopping, and everything we wanted to do. We loved exploring the area and felt completely at home the whole time.This property is a gem. We would book it again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, well-managed vacation rental in Bradenton. Thank you to the host for making our two weeks so enjoyable!Highly recommended – 5 stars across the board!

Our stay at the Salty Dog was amazing. We loved the house and the pool. The house is gorgeous. We definitely loved the pool. Our evenings were in the pool relaxing and unwinding from our day. Heather is a very attentive host. Everything we asked about was addressed immediately and was very satisfactory. The area is perfect. Close to everything, but still a quiet neighborhood. I would HIGHLY recommend the Salty Dog for your next vacation.

We are from Lakeland, FL but have a second home in Bradenton that we consider to be our retirement home one day. We have a 23 year old son. We also have a cattle ranch with 3 donkeys, a wild hog and a French bulldog (Piper). We love the outdoors, especially fishing in Sarasota Bay and Tampa Bay. We recently purchased this home to rent out to others so that they can also enjoy the beauty of this area and all it has to offer.

The Salty Dog is located in Coral Shores Subdivision, just off of Cortez Rd before the bridge to the beaches. We love this neighborhood because it's quiet and everyone is always so nice. We can fish right off of our docks and also take our boat out to the bay in about 5 minutes. Great restaurants and things to do in the local area. We too, were also renters a few years ago and would always rent in this area within a 5 mile radius. We just really enjoy being here and we know you will too.

Where do I start? The boat dock with no bridges to the open bay in 5 minutes time. The private pool. Being able to fish off of your own dock. The convenience of amazing restaurants and stores nearby. Staying in a nice neighborhood where neighbors are friendly. The full kitchen. The fact that it sleeps 8 comfortably. There are too many things to list. Come see for yourself!
