This Summer Breeze cottage was everything I had hoped for and when we got here it was that and more . Very comfortable , spacious and very clean . We will definitely be back. This weekend was my Daughters wedding and this cozy place made it super easy and fun for this very special event .

It was a cute little cottage. Everything was immaculate. I went with my best human friend and my dog. There was even a baby gate for the dog to keep her on the porch. The host Janille (better known to me as JB) was awesome. She even stopped by to see if we needed anything and she brought dog treats! The location was pretty close to everything. We will see her again!

Can’t say enough about the entire experience. From the wonderful cottage with all the amenities and great decoration you could ask for to our exceptional hostess Janille. So accommodating and friendly. I’ll be looking forward to my return in the future.There’s nothing better than to not worry about the little things during your vacation. Summer Breeze, under the care of Janille, allowed us to thoroughly enjoy everything Ocracoke had to offer. My hat’s off to them.

We really enjoyed our stay at this small cottage in Ocracoke. It was exactly as advertised — cozy and compact, but very clean and well kept. The open living area and kitchen made the space feel comfortable and inviting. The location was also extremely convenient for getting around the island and enjoying everything Ocracoke has to offer. We would definitely stay here again.

I really enjoyed the Summer Breeze cottage. The location is so convenient to everything on the island. In addition, parking was very easy as there was plenty of room. The place is clean and lends itself well to a couple. The host was also very responsive to any messages that were sent. I’ve stayed at several houses through my years of coming to Ocracoke and I have to say this was one of the best. Thanks for the great experience.

Summer Breeze is a great location, just off of Back Rd and within walking distance to restaurants and a coffee shop. The cottage has a cute interior and is perfect for a couple with a pet. Janille and George are very responsive when and if questions arise. We enjoyed our stay here and will definitely consider this cottage (or its "twin") for any future trip to Ocracoke!

This is a cute place! Location was harder to find. We got to the island to find we had no cell service. Recommend printing a hard copy so instructions can be followed. When we called on our daughter’s phone they were rude in helping us get in.Here is what you need to know:1) the master bed is rock hard & very uncomfortable. Sleeping on the floor maybe better. 2) bring your own linens since they have very little, especially If you like cozy blankets3) they charge for everything so read the house rules carefully. 4) would we return here? Nope Very cute from the outside. But just transactional. Only heard from the host to charge us for the extra person.

Karen I am sorry you were not happy with your stay. You are the first person to ever complain about the bed so I will take that as “you” not liking it. Yes we do charge for more than 2 people it is in the listing. I am not sure who you would have called and they were rude to you but I can most definitely guarantee it was not myself. We take a lot of pride in our cottages and in making sure the guest is happy, we give extra towels, snacks, paper towels, shampoo and conditioner etc. i am not sure why you would think the host should contact you about anything but business. I am not a vacation planner. Again I am sorry you are upset because you had to pay for your extra people but it is very clear in the listing.

The host was fabulous. We had the unfortunate experience of not being able to stay in this VRBO due to an uncontrollable power failure that occurred. It was out of her control but she worked hard to get us into another place. Of course, the backup was fine but not as nice as hers but it turned out fine. She was so kind and felt so bad about our having to relocate that she offered a free dinner and provided us a huge gift bag on our leaving day. We will definitely visit again one day and stay in this rental as it was absolutely adorable and it was everything she said that it was. While disappointing that we did not get to stay there this time, I can tell you that our paths were meant to cross and you will not find a more honest and sincere and helpful host. She truly cares and will move the mountain to help you have a happy stay. Thank you Mrs. Janille, give yourself some grace as this was out of your control and I'm just thankful that a wonderful friendship was found in it. That is the best part of the trip. Human kindness is what you will find here. And, I know that she has it fixed now, go and stay and eat all the good foods and be sure to visit Portsmouth! The island is beautiful but the people are truly the best part about this island! We WILL be back Mrs. Janille! Big hugs!

Lovely little pet friendly cottage in the heart of Ocracoke, walkable distance to most shops and restaurants. Perfect for a short stay for myself and my dog. The place was very clean, easy to get to and parking on site was great. Simple, easy check in with key code door lock. Cute raised deck area and small front yard with grill set up and picnic area. Very clean little kitchenette (no oven/stove but spacious fridge and microwave/air fryer available). Janille is a super responsive and caring host— she even kept me up to date on the island’s weather and flood status after hurricane Erin, which happened just prior to my visit. Will definitely be visiting again!

We arrived early, and Janille allowed us to check in an hour early once the cleaning was done. The cottage was just like the description, and there were no surprises. The exterior and interior were sparkling clean. The furniture was "like new," and we had no problems with any of the appliances.Our host was welcoming of our dog and even left some treats on the counter. We did take a large cover for the sofa in case our dog decided to ignore the house rules. To my knowledge, we left no trace of a dog in the cottage.The cottage was on a private street, and there was absolutely no traffic noise. We were only 3 blocks from the golf cart rental business and close to Hwy 12 where most of the restaurants and businesses are located.The checkout instructions were reasonable and easy to complete.This cottage is a great getaway for a couple who plan on eating most of their meals at local restaurants. My wife and I recommend it enthusiastically.
