From designing and building our spaces to welcoming guests and caring for the property, our family is involved in creating the experience you enjoy during your stay. We built Last Frontier Lodging with a desire to share the same love of the outdoors, adventure, and connection that has shaped our lives.

One of the things we love most about our location is that it gives you the best of both worlds — easy access to Seward while still enjoying the peaceful beauty of Alaska’s outdoors.

Located right along the scenic Seward Highway and directly on the way into Seward, our property is only about 5 minutes from town, making it easy to enjoy restaurants, the harbor, excursions, and local attractions while still returning to a quiet Alaska setting.

Many guests love that our property offers the beauty of nature while still having a sense of connection. With a few nearby neighbors, open views, and the forest edge nearby, you can enjoy the peacefulness of Alaska without feeling completely isolated.

From your deck, you can watch the Alaska Railroad pass by while enjoying mountain and forest views, with the Eagle’s Nest visible across the way. Wildflowers grow throughout the property, and in the spring you can explore the creek and small waterfall. During the summer, relax to the calming sounds of the water and keep an eye out for Alaska wildlife, including moose and other animals that occasionally wander nearby.

We love that our guests can experience the adventure of Seward while having a peaceful place to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the natural beauty that makes Alaska so special.

From private decks and outdoor gathering spaces to mountain views, nearby wildlife, wildflowers, and the sounds of the creek, every stay offers a connection to the Alaska we have loved for generations.

We focus on the little details that make a stay feel special, including thoughtfully stocked spaces, comfortable amenities, and a dedicated coffee and tea corner with a variety of options to enjoy while taking in the beauty of your surroundings. Our family is hands-on in caring for these spaces, including much of the cleaning and preparation between guests. We strive to use more natural and eco-conscious products when maintaining our accommodations, helping us be mindful of the beautiful environment we are fortunate to share with our guests.
