Make yourself at home in this 1-bedroom Catalina hill top retreat only one mile from the foothills of the Catalina mountains. This enjoyable cottage is on a full acre, has a horse corral, features 1 queen bed, 1 and half bathrooms with one bathtub and shower, and essential amenities like a washing machine, clothes dryer, dish washer, hair dryer, heat pump and WiFi. Hiking trails and equestrian trails start across the road from the cottage and, if you up to it, 11 h later you can be on the top of 9,000 ft Ms. Mt. Sara Lemmon. The serenity of our place will help you feel at home while you're traveling in Catalina or just plain sitting around dousing stress. When clouds are around, sunsets and sunrises are memorable. This is horsey country; bring your horse if you got one! We got dirt roads! And that's what makes it SO quiet.

What a wonderful place to stay! The view of the mountain was amazing. They had different spots you could sit and enjoy the view. The cottage was spacious as well. Art was a great host. He made sure everything was clean and ready for our visit. Overall it was a great place stay. I would definitely recommend.

Everything was exactly as advertised and was perfect! Beautiful setting with mountains (and cows) right in your front yard and close to lots of outdoor things to do. Would highly recommend!

Art and Judy were extremely nice people. The cottage was very well equipped and had comfortable furniture. Plenty of seating outside with wonderful views of the desert and mountains. We appreciated their hospitality and had some nice chats with them. If you like hiking this is a great place to be and if you like just sitting around and relaxing in the quiet this is perfect

The views surrounding the area were wonderful at any time of day or night. Sunsets and star gazing especially great. The home was very comfortable with a large living area with comfortable leather couches. Location was remote but dirt road was graded and of no problem. We would stay again . Peg and Ron

The entire property is amazing . Wonderful views that surround it all with breathtaking mountains surrounding the entire area. The bed is comfortable the living area very spacious. The kitchen has literally everything one needs to cook and bake. Art and Judy are phenomenal hosts. Any questions are answered and they are the sweetest couple I've ever encountered on my many stays at different locations. The location is also wonderful as there is shopping and restaurants within a cars ride closer than I expected. All in all we had an awesome time and I will definitely book again . Thank you to the hosts to provide such a lovely place to relax and enjoy nature. I could go on and on , just a fantastic place to stay.

What a fabulous stay we had. Perfect location, great accommodations, really comfy bed, abundantly supplied, very clean, and the view! We were there over July 4 weekend and spent the evening outside with the 245 degree view watching multiple firework displays, It was magical! Even without fireworks, it's a Hollywood Hills view to overlook Tucson to Saddlebrooke lights. Art was super communicative and responded immediately to any questions. The perfect hosts when it comes to assistance when requested and leaving you to your vacation. Feel safe? Absolutely, We felt no need to lock up anything. There are lots of books & games, TV, wifi, wildlife, cooking requirements, very comfy furniture, lots of sunshine through the windows, lighting for night, loved the southwest decor, towels, pillows, blankets, anything you might need... hiking / biking trails right off the property, and check out the framed cloud poster created by none other than the host, Art! We would definitely stay again... Absolutely!

If you are looking for scenic views of the Oro Valley and Mt Lemmon this is the place to stay. This place is on the top of a hill above Catilina and has an outstanding 360 degree view of the surrounding area. The house is well supplied and very comfortable. The hosts were great and easy to communicate with. You do have to drive up a dirt road to get to this place but it is well maintained so that was not a problem. Just make sure you have good directions to the address as my GPS couldn't find the address correctly. I really enjoyed just sitting on the porch enjoying the views. So if you are looking for a place to relax and unwind I highly recommend this house.

This property was absolutely stunning! The house itself is well decorated and clean. The views are out of this world! I enjoyed watching the birds in the morning while I ate breakfast. Very quiet area. I will say that it would be best to have a 4 wheel drive vehicle since the neighborhood is on dirt roads. I have a Rav 4 and it was perfectly fine. The hosts are so welcoming and kind. I will 100% go back.

Retiree, U of WA research meteorologist, storm chaser, weather briefer, was on NPR doing weather for Seattle. Wife and I left the "wet life" for for better cloud scenes, weather excitement in thunderstorms, and general desert life. Our property is almost all natural desert for habitat purposes. We don't clear our land!

Derfor valgte værten dette overnatningssted

Property separation/privacy due to having acreage (2), and the quiet that it brings. We live on a dirt road, and that means it's extra quiet in our small, horsey community of Sutherland Heights. Hiking and equestrian trails start across the road. We walk our dog on them every day for 1-2 h.

Derfor er dette overnatningssted unikt

Top of the world views, almost like you're in a low flying aircraft. The cottage is on its own separate acre. And the hiking/riding possibilities are endless. The foothills of the Catalina Mountains begin within a mile of the cottage and you can just keep on going; hiking/riding your horse, or biking for as long or as high as you can. The cottage has a corral for your horse, too! Final thought: "Make me move price"? 1 billion dollars! Yep, that's how much your host, Art, loves it here in the Sonoran Desert, the only desert in the world with TWO rain seasons, and two greenings and two wildflower blooms toward the end of each rain season (spring and mid-late summer).
