Amy was so wonderful from the beginning! She was very responsive and informative. The property manager even provided a curiosity check in. The home alone was clean, big, and just what we needed to save Thanksgiving! I could only imagine the summer stay :)

The house is big and has plenty of bedrooms and sleeping options. Having a 2nd kitchen and fridge is great for large groups. There are a lot of steps to get down to the water - but that is common with all the houses on this lake. We loved the new double-decker dock that fit our pontoon and the slide and jumping platform were a hit with the kids. The view down to the lake is great and the location is good - close to the jumping bridge and a couple of marinas. You also have grocery stores and a Wal-Mart within 15-20 minutes.

A blessed lakeside getaway

This property was exactly what me and my family needed to spend our thanksgiving together. It matched the listing 100%. The communication with the host was on point. They were so accommodating. I would stay here a million times over.

Excellent stay. Beautiful home and property

The house and location is absolutely beautiful! We had such an amazing time. The house was clean and had every single thing you could ever need. The kitchen was fully stocked. Plenty of linens and towels and wash clothes. The lake was breathtaking and so relaxing. We had so much fun swimming and fishing. The kayaks were an added bonus. There are a lot of stairs but that’s to be expected. We would not hesitate to book here again!

A great house for a TN lake vacation

Two thumbs up from our family group of 24! This was our first time to Norris Lake and we could not have picked a better house and location. The house description is accurate and the owner is extremely responsive. It’s easy to see that the owners are continuously investing in their rental property. Highlights for us- definitely the double decker dock with slide and jumping gate. The provided kayaks were a great way to explore the lake and to easily paddle to the nearby jumping bridge. The large gathering areas on each level were big enough for us to all be together; or alternatively provided the option to spread out into smaller groups. The main kitchen is very open and can easily accommodate a lot of people without causing congestion. Very comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen(s), strong wi-fi connection, great floor plan. We had a great week at the lake- and would definitely stay at Dockside Dreaming again.

Dockside Dreaming did not Disappoint!

Easy checkin, great communication with owners, very spacious for our family of 16, clean and attractive with new flooring and new paint, awesome dock, plenty of outside seating on the decks and dock, plenty of comfortable beds, great Wi-Fi connection, plenty of parking for 5 vehicles right at the front door. New heater installed on hot tub when we advised it wouldn’t warm up. And uncovered, wet garbage from previous renters was disposed of immediately when we notified the owners. We did need to purchase 2 kayak paddles since only 1 was available. Loved our stay, and feel blessed that the weather was good!

The house is in a great location. The kids had a wonderful time just swimming off the docs. Boat, Wave runners, Pontoon rentals is right around the corner. Our family had a wonderful time here.

Disappointed

Overall, we were very disappointed in the overall appearance and cleanliness of this property. The carpet especially on the stairs was incredibly dirty as well as many of the bathrooms. There were holes in walls, damaged base boards, and damaged furniture. The shower door in the master bathroom would not shut and there was a leak in the laundry room. There were also some safety issues including a very loose railing on the first floor outdoor deck as well as open electric outlets. Also, 3 of the 4 kayaks sunk as we were trying to use them. The location of the home was really great though especially being back in the cove and close to the jumping bridge and the lay out of the house worked well for us. We will definitely go back to Lake Norris but we would not rent this home again.

family retreat

This is our fourth time staying in this area. This is by far the fewest amount of steps we have had. The younger kids loved the second floor kitchen and tv for the evening games and the older ones could be upstairs with their own games. Nice deck/ boat dock. Good place just to hang out in the water, little traffic. Close to jumping bridge. Great time.

Great vacation!

The property was clean and well maintained. The owners were very helpful and responsive. Lake was beautiful. The only complaint would be the amount of stairs from the house to the lake but it is what it is. Overall, we had a great family vacation!

Great Family Getaway!

We had 14 people from our family stay at this property and we had more than enough room for us all to not feel crowded. We enjoyed the dock with the slide and the owner having Kayak's available was nice for the kids to go and play in the lake. We did use the community pool which was nice for the little kids. Would recommend this property for anyone staying in the Norris Lake area.

Great Home, Great Location

This home is easy to access from I-75 and sits in a quiet cove with similar homes. It has ample space for several families and a nice dock. Although there are quite a few steps to the water (not at all unusual for this area), the dock provided a nice place to not only park boats (we had two), but also to relax and swim. The house is near the jumping bridge and several marinas where you can get dinner out or buy supplies. The inside of the house is well kept and includes two kitchen areas and several baths. There are two large living rooms and a smaller one on the ground level. The decks and dock have plenty of chairs and the owners provided two adult kayaks and two child size kayaks. The bedding and furniture was all clean and comfortable. We've met the owners who made sure that we had all the information we needed for our first visit to Norris Lake. They made solid recommendations regarding where to eat and where to be entertained on and around the lake. Check-in was a breeze. We also met the local property manager. She was very attentive and wanted to make sure that everything was up to her standards (it was). This was our first visit to Lake Norris. We knew it was big, but we only were able to explore a small part of it in a week's time due to its size. Plus we found a place we enjoyed eating and grabbing a drink - and it was hard not to stop there! We had a great time at this home and hope to return and explore more of the Lake. When we return, this home will be the first we look at when scheduling.

Fun Stay!

Nice property right on the water. We had everything we needed and had a great week! All necessities are there and more. Walking path was wonderful to stroll by the lake. My only suggestion would be some dock maintenance and some tree trimming to help with view of the lake:)
