The “Historic” Burdette House - EST. 1891 3rd floor Victorian Suite

Welcome to the historic Burdette House. Built in 1891, the Burdette House has a rich history and is one of Hot Springs premium Victorian retreats nestled in the breathtaking Black Hills. Next to Moccasin Hot Springs, it is located just one block from Hot Springs charming historic downtown with its river walk, shops and restaurants. We offer two lovely and unique suites. The third-floor suite is the Victorian suite, and the second floor is the Western suite.

Your private suite is the entire third floor with accommodations that include a living room sofa and matching love seat, DIRECTTV stream and an electric fireplace. There are lovely views from the third-floor turret and windows of forested hills and adjourning neighborhood views. The suite has a Victorian feel with antique furniture and pictures throughout the suite. The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped with all you will need, including an antique marble topped table originating from Italy. There are two bedrooms, with a full bathroom down the hall from the bedrooms. Each bedroom has queen beds, heated mattress pads, and electric fireplaces, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere for sleeping. We provide plenty of extra towels and linen. There is also a washer and dryer for your use.

At your disposal we have a large property with private and shared outdoor spaces. On the second floor down the inside stairs is a shared front balcony with table and chairs that provides a wonderful space to have your morning coffee and/or plan your day. Also on the third floor, right off your back master bedroom, you can go out your sliding glass door, to your private cedar deck with table and chairs, a propane heater and gas grill. If you follow the outside back stairs down to the gorgeous shared courtyard and you will come to an outside fire pit, the Redwood sauna, a man-made seasonal waterfall and nature pond that is home to our two turtles, Franklin and Sheldon. You will often times see them sunning on the rocks or swimming in the pond. There is a shared adjacent yard with a gas grill, two picnic tables, a children’s play set and a nice Redwood swing. It is a wonderful area for children to play in and has a nice view of the historic downtown area. There are 36 steps to get to your suite on the 3rd floor but there is outside temporary parking right off your back deck steps, totaling 9 steps. This is where you can unload luggage and/or pick up or drop people off.

Pets are not allowed at the Burdette House on the third-floor suite and please be aware parties are not allowed. There are two queen size beds but no sofa beds or air mattresses. For your convenience, it is a self-check in and self-check-out. There is a guest book located in the kitchen to help guide you. We live on the first floor and are still here if you need assistance. We also provide one space for your suite that is outdoor covered parking. We welcome you, are grateful for your business and will do everything to make your stay enjoyable and relaxing.
