We loved the location for the access to the AT and downtown. We walked everywhere! Walking through the old Storer College campus became our evening ritual. The house is a beautiful historic home, with some of the quirks, but it’s cozy and well-stocked for our two night stay.

The house was great! It was family friendly and had everything we needed. It was also really close to a playground which was perfect for our family.

This was a wonderful vacation rental--clean, beautifully appointed, and located within walking distance of historic Harpers Ferry and the AT. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to spend our long weekend getaway.

I think this has to be the cutest house in all of Harper's Ferry. I love the historic look but also being extremely warm and welcoming at the same time. I usually dont sleep well while Im traveling but the beds were extremely comfortable. Definitely a pleasant surprise and I would definitely recommend this home to others.

Great house. Everything is completely as advertised. It had everything we needed, plus some other fun things—including a mini Bingo game that kept kids and adults occupied. Recommend.

My sisters and I loved the home as we grew up in a large old home. The place is lovely.The negatives are the shower in the tub and the back entrance into the house. Should be a step with a railing or enter through the front. The front porch is great.The other issue is someone should check the house after it’s cleaned.Overall we enjoyed the home and would rent it again

This is once again a terrible experience using a VRBO listing. We were contacted a few minutes to check-in that the cleaning staff were not done and ready for us to occupy. This was awful because we had been out and about all day and needed to clean up and freshen up because we had a show to attend in Shepherdstown at 5:30 pm. I told the contact we did not care if cleaning people were there we needed to get in at 4pm as promised and we would be gone in 40 minutes!!! but we need to get ready! They denied access. (Strike 1)We did not get back to place until almost 10 pm. We were not greeted with any outside lights turned on for us to see. (Strike 2). Only to find no toilet paper, vacuum cleaner left in middle of room, beds made poorly, extra pillows on floor in closet, a linen closet with all other items thrown in and on the floor of that closet (gross for items being on the floor), thrown leftover blankets not put away in living room (gross were these from previous guests?) did the cleaning staff leave due to an emergency? kitchen potholders filthy, drawer in oven filthy, sponge at sink filthy with brown stuff on it, lid for large pot way in back on bottom of cabinet, (how would anybody know it was there and god forbid try to get on all fours and get it), salt and pepper shakers clogged and just plain gross ( I have photos !!!), oh finally found the toilet paper it was just thrown in plastic wrapper on kitchen table. (Strike 20) I REQUEST A FULL REFUND!!

I understand how disappointing it must have been to arrive expecting to check in, especially with evening plans, and then encounter issues after a long day. Cleanliness and making sure a home is properly prepared before guests arrive are extremely important to me, and the items you mentioned have been shared with my team so they can be reviewed and addressed. Regarding the delayed check-in, our cleaning teams work hard to prepare each home between guests, but I understand that timing changes can be frustrating, especially when you have plans and are counting on the scheduled arrival time. We’ll continue working to improve communication and preparation to help prevent situations like this. I’m also sorry that the home was not presented in the condition you expected when you arrived. We appreciate you providing this feedback so we can follow up with the appropriate team members and make improvements moving forward. Thank you again for bringing these concerns to my attention.
