5/5 Stars - Wonderful Time!

We had a wonderful time at the Four Loons. The property has a wonderful view of the lake, and the sunsets are absolutely beautiful. We really enjoyed the cabin and had a great time exploring the Rangeley region. Highly recommend!

Lovely cabin on the lake

The cabin was perfect for our family of 4 plus a dog to enjoy a week of vacation. The cabin is well situated at the end of the lake and is convenient for walks and hikes (the AT crossing is just a mile or so down the road), the kids swam in the lake off the beach, great sunsets and starry skies.

Cozy Cabin with Beautiful Views

Perfect accommodations for a girls weekend. The place was exactly as described and even had WiFi. Kitchen had all the necessary pots and pans and the place was extremely cozy. Views of the lake were amazing and the fire pit was a huge bonus. We will definitely come back!

Nice getaway

We really love this property and we would definitely return. The only negative comment is the lack of water pressure and sometimes the water wouldn’t work.

The escape we needed

This was the perfect mix of our vacation needs. The rural area and dirt roads around the cabin was the escape we needed. Then turning into the cabin with amazing lake views and a nice beach area gave us the relaxing feel we were looking for. The cabin was simple, cute and clean.

Enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Wished the kitchen had more electrical outlets so we could run the toaster without having to unplug the coffeemaker. All in all we had a wonderful stay.

The lake and placement of the cabin was beautiful. The view with all the windows were also beautiful. Unfortunately there was a mice problem. I understand it is nature, but we caught 4 mice during our stay. Catching and releasing mice every night of your vacation was not my plan. When brought to the company's attention, they send pest control the next day with mouse traps. When we noticed how many mice were there (and probably more than we saw) we ended up cutting our vacation short having a young puppy with us. When this was addressed via email again with the company, we didn't even get a response email which seems very unprofessional to me. We also had no heat for those cold nights which should have been taken care of before our arrival. They brought space heaters when they realized the fuel line was not yet set up. Cabin was nice, could use a better cleaning there was pretty large webs everywhere, but again the layout and land is beautiful. Would not recommend or return due to mice issue and heat problem.

Sunset for days

Beautiful patio set in a cute community of cabins place on the south end of Bemis Road. The neighbors were especially kind, helpful and full of gratitude for such a beautiful piece in America. I have been going to Mooselookmeguntic Lake for 13 years now changing lakefront cabins almost every year to get a new look of the lake. My heart grows every time I visit. Thank you Rangeley Region

Lovely lakeside cottage

I want to write a horrible review so no one ever books this perfect little gem in the Maine woods, but I just can't. This is a sweet, perfectly appointed cabin with amazing views of the lake. Yes, it's got some "rough" edges, but this is not a lakeside lodge. It's a classic, vintage, Maine cabin with all the character and uniqueness that we love. We had a sublime weekend and will definitely be going back.

Great Spot

Great spot on on the lake. This camp was perfect for my wife and I, our daughter and grandson. Not big or fancy, a simple camp but very nice. Protected cove and a great dock to tie up our boat. Nice little beach for our grandson to swim. Neighbors were very friendly and welcoming.

Delightful camp!

In all my years coming to Rangeley, this was a new area for me. The camp is delightful, beautiful sunsets, quiet and allowed my little dog to come. Definitely will come back here.

Smoking loon

The place is in a beautiful location of the lake and sunset. The beach is easy to access. Very quiet place. The cabin is very clean and beds firm. The lighting in the place was poor for reading. I would bring portable lamp. We had a nice time hiking,fishing and kayaking.

Extraordinary view out the front windows! It needs some updates and maintenance. Lake is fantastic!

The view was great but some basic safety items need correction. Kitchen sink needs a gfi outlet. We had to choose to run the stove or hot water tank by switching the adaptor on the old 2 prong outlet 16” from the kitchen faucet. We bought another adaptor. An electrician needs to add a couple of up-to-date outlets and wire the hot water heater properly. Luckily we brought a 5 gallon pail so we could make the toilet flush. The toilet is an antique that doesn’t function and needs to be replaced. The front door wouldn’t open because of a rotted post under the front of the Camp. I jacked up the camp and bought some concrete blocks to hold it up so our basic egress was available. The light for the kitchen is switched by a switch with an outlet for the fridge in a dark place behind the fridge. The switch plate was broken, I bought one and replaced it so every time I went to turn it on I wasn’t at risk of touching wires. This outlet is used for the coffee maker/fridge/microwave choose any 2 at a time to plug in. So things don’t have to be perfect in an old camp that has charm and character but basic safety is important. I feel kind of stupid but the first night I fell (yes I fully fell down) on the step across the living room. No real way to make that safe but maybe yellow paint on the edge would help. We also went to the store and bought bulbs and replaced quite a few light bulbs including the light in the fridge and the one in the center hallway. Great Lake, great location on the lake, great views from inside the camp of the lake but badly in need of maintenance and updates. They provided a book of local information but zero information about the specific building. Luckily we knew not to drink the tap water but it seems like that should be noted somewhere! It may be our personal taste but the community living was a little too close for us. The views of the lake and the sounds of the loons were great. The Camp is in a very quiet area away from main roads. We will go back to the area but we will choose a different place next time.

Thank you so much for your feedback! As soon as we learned of your issues at this cottage we sent our maintenance man to the property - where he replaced the flow valve on the toilet, and checked all outlets to make sure they were fully functioning and safe. We have a supply room stocked with light bulbs - and a full time maintenance man, along with an emergency contact number provided for any issues that take place after hours. So please do not hesitate to call us ASAP if you run into any future issues at one of our rentals :) We are sorry again you experiences these issues and hope you visit us again in the future.
