Oprindeligt en melmølle, der blev bygget for to hundrede år siden, tæt på en strøm, der strømmer langs huset; facaden er typisk toscansk og er bygget af sten og klippe. Det er et isoleret hus blandt olivenlunde, have og græsplæner; smuk udsigt over Chiana-dalen. Der er en stor naturskøn porticoes-terrasse, det sande omdrejningspunkt for sommerens livsstil, med spiseplads, stole, borde, grill. Boligarealet ligger på første sal, mens soveværelserne er placeret i stueetagen. Første sal er tilgængelig via en indvendig stentrappe eller direkte fra den bageste terrasse. Stort køkken / spisestue med sin originale gamle sten pejs; køkkenet er møbleret og veludstyret med al moderne komfort; stor stue med dobbelt sovesofa, pc m / internet Wi-Fi, satellit-tv. I stueetagen er der 2 dobbeltværelser (et af disse har eget badeværelse) 1 soveværelse med to enkeltsenge og et studie-soveværelse med en enkeltseng. Det tredje badeværelse er ovenpå.

A superb home in a beautiful setting with plenty of space inside and on the terrace. Zinaida was very responsive and helpful with restaurant and visitor places to go to. The restored mill house covered 3 floors with lovely furnishingsZinaidas olive oil is also lovely. Arezzo has a lovely old quarter and is a little less touristy than the other Tuscan centres.

Amazing holiday home

Absolutely wonderful, historic place surrounded by olive groves and beautiful views of Tuscany. The owners made our stay so comfortable and shared a lot of the history of the old mill, which made it even more special for us. Easy to get to many great sites to visit via car.

Best Vacation Stay

Staying at this villa for 6 nights was so much fun and very relaxing. Nadia had everything we needed and went above and beyond to make our stay just magical. We cannot wait to visit again.

Really peaceful stay

We loved staying in this old house in tranquil Tuscany setting. Nadia was a lovely and friendly host. The house had lots of space and the outside terrace was great for the hot weather. I would recommend Mulinmaria completely

Beautiful Tuscany Farmhouse

This property was all that we were looking for in our stay, close to a town Arezzo, and also in the countryside with lovely views, lovely walks nearby on property through the olive trees. The property was very well kitted out in the kitchen with all one needed to cook up a meal for your family. The outside patio was lovely for spending time with the nice weather we had for our stay . Zinaida was such a lovely host we so enjoyed our chats when she was around and the information she provided was much appreciated on places of interest, restaurants and events taking place locally. I would highly recommend visiting this property for anyone who enjoys the simple country Tascan lifestyle.

Wonderful stay in Arezzo

We had a wonderful stay of 5 nights at Mulinmaria. The property is beautifully unique with a great history. We especially loved the large terrace where we spent our mornings with coffee and days/evenings with wine overlooking the magnificent views of the olive trees and Tuscan countryside. It was perfect. As nice as Mulinmaria is perhaps the best part was Zinaida. She is an absolutely charming and lovely person. I highly recommend anyone wanting to stay in a peaceful old Tuscan home to consider this property.

Very nice house

The house is very nice, decently clean and well maintained. Nadia and his son helped us with everything. They are very friendly. The reason, because I gave four instead of five star is the size of the bathrooms. Two of them are extremely small. I am a normal man (183 cm/82 kg) and had difficulties while using bathroom cabins.

Wonderful stay at Mulinmaria!

We recently stayed at Nadia's beautifully appointed home, Mulinmaria, on the outskirts of Arezzo and had the most delightful stay! Nadia is the most wonderful hostess who made us feel instantly at home and she even made us a beautiful lunch on our arrival! We really felt at home instantly and her house is just perfect for a relaxing stay in Tuscany! It is a 4 bedroomed villa, with the most beautiful terrace to admire the countryside and we were very sad when it was time to leave! Our 2 children especially, thought the house was marvelous, with nooks and crannies to explore - we all LOVED our stay there. So THANK YOU Nadia - you have the most beautiful soul and we were touched by the care and kindness you showed us and we hope to keep you in our lives forever! Glenda and family

Wonderful View and Warmest Hospitality

We enjoyed our week at Mulinmaria one thousand percent!! We were located in the countryside amongst the olive groves, but yet conveniently located nearby to Arezzo's stores and restaurants. We were also within driving and/or train distance to Pisa, Bologna, Siena, Firenze (Florence), Cortona, Venezia (Venice), and more. What a delight it was to see all of Italy's historical towns and countryside during the ride. But our favorite part was enjoying a glass of vine on our patio, looking down over the olive trees and vineyards onto the valley and distant hills. If you are there with your wine during a beautiful sunset, you will know why we chose Mulinmaria and will again. And, of course, the warm hospitality that we received was an added bonus.

Dream Tuscan Vacation

We loved our stay at this villa. It more than fulfilled our dream to stay in an authentic Tuscan home. Nadia was a warm and gracious host who gave us recommendations upon arrival and responded quickly to any questions or issues that arose. As it is a working olive farm, the family was often around working on the vast property during the day. It was never an issue as they gave us plenty of privacy and we were mostly away during the day visiting the beautiful towns in Tuscany. The views from the house were lovely, especially from the kitchen windows. The house and kitchen were fully equipped and we ate breakfast in as well as cooking a couple dinners. The house worked great for 2 couples, but had 2 other sleeping areas if you had a family or other group. We would return here and highly recommend this amazing property.

a wonderful stay in a beautiful peaceful setting

We emailed many properties in this area for a last minute booking and the only one that dealt with the enquiry promptly and efficiently was Arianna at Mulino Maria. As property renters ourselves, we were suitably impressed. She went out of her way to ensure the property was ready for us when we booked at the last minute. Although staying in the winter, the place was always cosy and warm and Arianna had plenty of firewood cut for us to have a fire on their wonderful inglenook fireplace in the kitchen. The property has been beautifully restored with great attention to detail and respect for the history of the mill. We even had a milling stone as a feature in the bedroom. The kitchen is well equipped and we prepared most of our evening meals at the mill. There is plenty to do and see in the area and the information pack was very useful. We would not hesitate in recommending this place to anyone wanting a quiet stay in the area and we will certainly be back one day to enjoy this wonderful peaceful place.

A characterful, comfortable property

This is a charming, quirky property, so layout is unusual. We enjoyed using the big kitchen and dining on the terrace upstairs with views. As for bedrooms downstairs there is plenty of space with three bedrooms (and the master has a tiny fourth bedroom in an attic space). The bedroom with ensuite only has a thin door connected to another bedroom, so is less private, while the more private master bedroom (the one with the attic space) has no ensuite. But all was prettily done up and very comfy. Check in was easy - our host was so welcoming and helpful. The grounds of the property are huge and she came and went some days to care for the grounds but made sure we had privacy. We were there in the middle of a heatwave (nobody's fault) so could not make the most of exploring the olive groves, enjoying the hammock, and using the terrace in the hotter part of the afternoon. But in less extreme weather this is an ideal and very inviting place.

Perfect choice for authentic Tuscan vacation

I gave it 5 stars, but would give it more if I could. The photos associated with this house make it look appealing, yet it's even better in person. A great kitchen for cooking, comfortable beds, peaceful setting, and the best terrace ever. We enjoyed the terrace for morning breakfasts - and for evening dinners and wine under the moonlight.The location near Arezzo makes it a perfect base for day trips to the many inviting hill towns in Tuscany, along with grabbing a train from the Arezzo station to Florence or even Rome. The house owners also arranged for us to enjoy a wonderful private tour and tasting at a nearby family-operated winery. It was extraordinary! Renting this house gave us 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (small, but serviceable), a lot of privacy, covered car parking, and a perfect taste of Tuscany. The WiFi is good and there are bookshelves full of maps and travel books. And it's not just the rooms and the property, but the gracious hospitality of the owners is what truly makes this a perfect choice. Nadia, her daughter Arianna, and the entire family were so helpful and welcoming that Mulinmaria became more than a house for us ... it was a home. We cannot recommend this place highly enough. If you can book this place for an upcoming visit to Tuscany, don't hesitate! We will definitely be back.

Tuscan Charm and Charming Host!

If you have a vision of what a typical Tuscan farmhouse might look like, then this is it! In fact, it’s an old mill, not a farmhouse. We were two couples and stayed for three weeks in May in this wonderful place. For us, the highlight was sitting on the large patio, listening to all the birds, hearing the church bells every half hour (but not at night!), listening to the babbling brook and looking out over the olive groves and across the Val di Chiana. The patio provided ample shade if the sun was too hot or during an occasional shower. It took a while to get used to the upside-down arrangement with the bedrooms and bathrooms on the lower level. The main staircase is fairly steep and a little uneven but there is a handrail on one side to provide support. The outside staircases provide an easier option to go between floors. The bathroom for the “mill” bedroom is quite small but there is no danger of falling in the shower – it’s too narrow! I said the highlight was the patio but, in fact, the highlight was wonderful Nadia, the host. I can’t imagine a more charming host – helpful and responsive when needed but very concerned about not intruding. Nadia, her husband Roberto and son were often working around the olive farm tending to tasks that had been delayed by the cool wet spring. Although you can take a walk through the olive groves or up the steep road past the church, it is not possible to walk into a nearby village which means you need to use the car to pick u

Ein wirklich sehr schönes Haus mit einem riesen Anwesen. Alles sehr gepflegt und absolut ausreichend auch für einen längeren Aufenthalt.Wer ruhe möchte und trotzdem ein für Ausflüge perfekt gelegene Location sucht ist hier richtig.Die Eigentümerin steckt viel Liebe in das Haus.

Die Lage des Hauses ist gut. Der Zufahrtsweg ist gewöhnungsbedürftig und nicht für jedes Fahrzeug geeignet.Die Möbel sind alt, verschlissen und teilweise kaputt. Zu den Zimmern: Schlafzimmer unten links mit neuem Bad. Zimmer ist ständig feucht. Wer gern etwas länger duscht sollte sich auf kaltes Wasser einstellen, der Speicher hält nur ca. 20 Liter warmes Wasser bereit. Die Matratze ist durchgelegen.Mittelzimmer geht, aber das dazugehörige Bad im Flur ist nicht für große Menschen zu benutzen, außer für Kinder. Drittes Schlafzimmer ist auch feucht und das Bad ist schon in die Jahre gekommen.Sollten hier zwei Personen schlafen und im zweiten Zimmer eine Person, dann können die Gäste aus dem dritten Zimmer nur über die Außentreppe nach oben gehen. In der oberen Etage gibt es keine Toilette.In der Küche sind die Möbel teilweise sehr wackelig und man muss aufpassen das die Stühle nicht zusammen brechen.Kaffeebecher, Eierbecher und Müslischalen sind nur für drei Personen vorhanden. Kaffemaschine läuft sehr langsam und geht dann mittendrin aus.Die Wohnzimmermöbel sind alt und verschlissen.Zu der Terrase:Die ist schön groß. Die Möbel teilweise kaputt und sehr alt. Keine Sitzkissen oder Auflagen vorhanden. Kein Sonnenschirm oder Sonnensegel, nur zwei Sonnenliegen und zwei Anglerstühle vorhanden.Der wunderschöne Blick von der Terasse ins Tal wurde leider von zwei hochgewachsenen Zypressen verdeckt.

The house is a traditional country property furnished with antique pieces which we believe gives a distinctive character, though we understand this style is not to everyone's taste. We'd like to clarify a few points: the mattress in the downstairs bedroom is new; there is a new complete bathroom not yet represented in the website, there is a toilet on the upper floor, accessible from the sitting room, the terrace chairs are padded branded loungers, with cushions available for the seating area. Crockery and cups for more than three people are available in the sitting room cupboard: we've since moved some items into the kitchen to make them easier to find. The humidity some guests notice during rainy season is typical of stone country houses an is, in fact, what keeps the property naturally cool in Summer. During your stay the heathers were on all the time, with no additional cost, that is very unusual on May. We take all feedback seriously and are already planning some improvements to the terrace furniture. we hope future guests will enjoy the house's character and the beautiful setting.

True Tuscan Home

Mulinmaria was chosen because I wanted to experience a Tuscan home in the country side. It turned out to be a perfect choice. It is surrounded by acres of olive trees with a creek running beside it. You could hear church bells and even a Rooster crowing in the morning. Mulinmaria's location is ideal for day trips to Cortona, Greve, Montepulciano, Monteriggioni, Pienza, Arezzo. The outdoor terrace was very inviting, we wish the weather had been warmer to utilize it more. The host, Nadia is a lovely, kind lady who was very helpful and accommodating. Everything we needed to make our stay comfortable was available. We have been vacationing in Italy for one month and the last place to call home for a week was Mulinmaria. It's wonderful to bring home happy memories of our time in Italy and the experience of our time in this lovely Tuscan home.

Wonderful stay

The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do. It's close to Assisi, Perugia, Firenze, Siena, Montepulciano, and of course Arezzo. It is very rural despite being a ten minute drive to all the shops we needed. All we could hear were the wind, crickets, and the churchbells from the church whose steeple we could see at the crest of the hill (and peace and quiet is very important to us). The house was bigger than we needed, with a very large and well appointed kitchen. The grounds were lovely. We especially loved sitting out on the covered patio, all day and evening. Nadia was very kind and considerate to us. Since it is so rural, we would definitely recommend a strong insect repellent! We found one that worked at the nearby Esselunga. Grazie mille, Nadia!

Time to relax

4 of us had a very relaxing time at the mill. It has everything you need and is very comfortable. It's a good location to visit charming towns in Tuscany.

This property is impossible to praise as highly as it deserves

This villa is stunning in every way. The period details in every room, doorway, ceiling, floor, doors, etc. are absolutely spectacular. The outdoor patios are very welcoming spaces. The sunset views are awe inspiring. The home is very roomy and comfortable. All modern amenities are at your disposal. The host, Nadia, is the most lovely woman. She is so welcoming. So helpful. She is there if you need help deciding what sights to see or recommendations for restaurants, etc. But, she gives her guests their privacy. Nadia and her husband, Roberto, bought the property many years ago. Originally a grain mill from the early 1800s. They renovated it into a family home and raised their two children there. You can see how much this home means to her and her family. Especially, when she glows while sharing their story. Although her children are grown and she and her husband live elsewhere in Arezzo, they all still think of Mulinmaria as 'home'. It warms my heart to think that they still celebrate holidays at the villa...all gathering in the place they call home. The property is well maintained...olive trees, flowers, plants. It really is a wonderland. You can easily see the pride taken in maintaining this villa. Ciao!

Excellent place to stay in a beautiful part of Tuscany

We stayed here for all of April and found the old mill an excellent base from which to explore Arezzo, Cortona and several other historic towns in the area. The location was also great for us as we enjoy hiking and there are plenty of quiet peaceful trails through the olive groves and woods right from the back door and certainly in April there were no tourists or other hikers. The beginning of April was still a little chilly and we would have appreciated the owners heating the house up a little more in preparation for our arrival, but we soon got that sorted. The GPS location on VRBO appears to be incorrect and we found the directions less than clear, however when we called eventually Nadia told us that the mill was marked on Google Maps and given that we found it successfully. Very attractive old property, perfect location, Nadia and Roberto were helpful and considerate hosts - definitely a place to be recommended!

Best villa under the Tuscan sun!

Best experience ever! If all we did in Tuscany was stay at the Mulin Maria, life would have been good. But Nadia made it even more wonderful. She spent a day teaching us how to make ravioli, then she and her husband shared dinner with us. Pair that with church bells, the sweet sounds of the nearby stream, and the surrounding rolling hills full of olive trees, and it was the perfect experience. Highly recommend.
