Oh my goodness! This property was amazing! It was perfect for our family of 19. The house had so many wonderful amenities and it was completely stocked with everything you might need from kitchen spices to beach towels to an amazing golf cart to and from the beach. Communication with the owner was top notch. Our family agrees this is the best beach house we’ve ever stayed at in the 20 years we’ve been doing this. Can’t wait to return!

Excellent property in a great location

A large group of us arrived to celebrate a birthday, and the property was even better than expected. So much space and activities to do at the house. Also, the house is stocked with just about any item you may forget (plenty of towels, items in the kitchen, bathrooms) which was so nice. Tabitha and Derek were exceptional hosts. Great communication and detailed information provided, and always quick to respond (leading up to and during the trip). It's close to the beach and the city. Would highly recommend and look forward to returning.

Wander & Rest IS the BEST

My friends and I have been getting together for the last 20+ years, and we all agree that this is by far the best. It has EVERYTHING that a group could need or want, the amenities were above and beyond our expectations and past experiences. The decor allowed us to relax whether we were inside or enjoying the beautiful setup outside on the patio. We enjoyed the hot tub, the saltwater pool, the grill, the game room and the 6-seat golf cart. Would have tried out the firepit however, the heat of the night didn't allow.

Amazing, clean, big house for a family Christmas. Everything was exactly as pictured, if not better. It was extremely comfortable for our group of 9 adults and 3 young kids. They had every amenity we could think of for the beach, pool, little kids, and more. We were even pleasantly surprised by the beautiful Christmas decorations! Definitely worth it to rent the golf cart to get to the beach and nearby restaurants. We would 100% recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing beach vacation! Thank you!!

We had a wonderful stay at The Wander and Rest Home in Vilano Beach. The house was beautifully decorated for the Christmas season and felt incredibly warm and inviting. The home is stunning with ample amenities and luxury accommodations. The hosts have not missed any detail. We enjoyed the late night hot tub hangs, afternoon swims in the pool, golf cart rides to Cap’s for dinner, walks on the beach at sunset, coffee on the front porch rocking chairs and plenty of good night’s sleep. We can’t wait to visit again!

Best Family Trip Ever at Saltwater & Sunsets!

We just got back from our stay at Saltwater & Sunsets and honestly, we’re still dreaming about it! If you’re looking for the perfect spot, this is it. Our hosts, Tabitha and Derek, were absolutely wonderful from the second we booked until we had to (sadly) head home. They made everything so easy and personal. The Nicest Hosts! Tabitha and Derek are seriously the best. They were super quick to answer any questions we had and made check-in and checkout a total breeze. You can really tell they care about making sure their guests have a great time and feel right at home. All the Fun Stuff The amenities here are next level. They’ve thought of everything a family needs to actually relax and have fun: Max the Golf Cart: Our kids (and the grown-ups!) obsessed over this. It’s a six-seater with Bluetooth for our favorite tunes and a cooler for beach snacks. It made getting around Vilano Beach so much fun! The Garage turned GAMEROOM: This was a HIT for the kids and grown-ups alike! Table tennis, air hockey, foosball, basketball, old school arcade games, a plethora of video games on the console, and so much more made this the ultimate hangout for our family! Pool & Hot Tub: Having both a heated pool and a hot tub was a game changer. We spent so much time splashing around together. The Saltwater Lounge: Such a cool, chill space to unwind after a day in the sun. The Little Extras: They even provided cozy robes and super soft linens. It felt like staying at a fancy resort but with all the comforts of home. Mom approved: This Mama really appreciated that everything was labeled, they have every kitchen utensil and cooking equipment you may need, and the check out procedures are not fussy at all! Memories Made The whole house is just set up perfectly for families to hang out and connect. Whether we were cruising in the golf cart or just lounging by the pool, we felt so relaxed and taken care of. Huge thanks to Tabitha and Derek for being such awesome hosts. We can’t wait to come back!

Incredible place!

Exceeded our expectations. Saltwater & Sunsets was the perfect place for our stay! The home is beautiful, thoughtfully designed, spotless, and incredibly comfortable for our entire group — you can truly tell how much care went into every detail. The location was a huge highlight. The beach is just minutes away, making it easy to enjoy morning walks and sunsets, and historic St. Augustine was a quick drive for dining, shopping, and sightseeing while still feeling tucked away in a peaceful coastal neighborhood. We loved the outdoor space — the pool, hot tub, sauna and lounge areas made it feel like our own private retreat. Inside, the beds were extremely comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and there was plenty of room for everyone to gather and relax. The game room kept kids entertained for hours. The hosts were welcoming, responsive, and made everything seamless from check-in to check-out. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Saltwater & Sunsets for a luxury beach getaway!

Absolutely Perfect — Salt Water and Sunsets Exceeded Every Expectation!

We stayed at Salt Water and Sunsets with a group of 19, and it was hands-down one of the best vacation homes we’ve ever experienced. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully curated to make our stay unforgettable. The house itself is immaculate and truly stunning—beautifully decorated, spacious, and designed for both relaxation and togetherness. One of our favorite features was the separate game room for the kids. They could be as loud and energetic as they wanted while the adults enjoyed some peaceful downtime. It was a game changer for our large group. The outdoor amenities were equally impressive. The heated pool, hot tub, and sauna created a private resort feel. Whether we were swimming, soaking, or unwinding in the sauna, every moment felt like pure luxury. The attention to detail was unmatched. Robes in the closets, bathroom toiletries in case we forgot anything, and thoughtful touches throughout the home made us feel completely cared for. It’s rare to find a rental that anticipates your needs before you even think of them. We truly never wanted to leave. Salt Water and Sunsets is the perfect blend of comfort, style, and convenience, and we can’t recommend it highly enough. We’re already dreaming about our next visit!

The perfect vacation! We couldn’t have booked a better house for our annual summer beach trip! Plenty of room and space for sleeping for our party. The upstairs suite was private enough for those of us who had work calls during the day to tackle and retire at night for the early risers. The backyard was phenomenal. The perfect size pool and loungers for sunbathing, huge hot tub and beautiful fire pit. Also the added sauna lounge was such a nice added amenity to the house that everyone enjoyed! We rented the golf cart and made our trips to the beach seamless and less than a minute away. We loved the quiet neighborhood and beaches. We are used to the crowded gulf beaches and the beach was not crowded in mid June! Plenty of space for our boys to play beach football. The house was beyond fully stocked with every kitchen gadget and bar ware you could imagine. We were able to cook some meals in and bake some sweets and the kitchen had everything we needed. The game room was a great option for late nights or rainy days. All the beach gear was provided. Beach towels, chairs, umbrellas. Also they truly thought of everything. Sunscreen, toiletries, plenty of towels and pillows in the house. The overall design and decor of the house was beautiful. Modern and on trend furnishings. Derek and Tabitha made our stay one of the best vacations we have been on! We made such wonderful memories and hope to be able to return next summer! We fell in love with Vilano Beach because it offers the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. The neighborhood feels tucked away and peaceful, but you’re only minutes from historic downtown St. Augustine with its amazing restaurants, live music, and charming streets. We love that you can walk to the beach for sunrise, stroll to the river for sunset, or hop on bikes (or our awesome golf cart, "Max,") and explore local restaurants. The community is friendly, safe, and feels like a true beach town escape — it’s the kind of place where neighbors wave and kids ride bikes after dinner. It’s our happy place, and we love sharing it with guests!

Grill out on our high end Bull propane grill and chill your favorite beverages in the outdoor mini fridge. Thoughtful touches, comfy beds, and a spotless home make it easy to relax and enjoy.
