Perfect condo for my 1st time to Tampa! Location was accessible to everything that I wanted and needed. All essential amenities were already at the condo. Would definitely stay again and recommended to anyone looking to stay in the Clearwater area.

Everything during our 9 day stay was great. The host went out of their way to do everything possible to make our stay comfortable. The condo was very spacious and very comfortable. Had plenty of room, a great balcony and an awesome heated pool and we will be staying there many more times and have referred our family to also stay there in our next trip to Clearwater Beach. On your stay there make sure to visit Abe’s and take the ferry over to Clearwater Beach so that you can have dinner and take the ferry back with a short trip back to the condo less than a five minute ride to the ferry.

Perfect Vacation Spot!

The condo location was amazing! We were really close to the beach and there was plenty of stuff to go around clearwater! Would highly recommend to anyone in the future!

Snowbirds

My husband and I had a wonderful 2 1/2 month stay. It felt like a home. Very roomy, fully stocked kitchen, comfortable queen bed. Owners were friendly, and very quick to respond to any question we had. Pool was wonderful, with friendly, welcoming people. Location was perfect. Could walk to restaurants, and stores. Quick drive to other surrounding places. We highly recommend.

Clearwater hidden gem

This unit is a hidden gem in the Clearwater area. If I could give 100 stars I would. The condo is exactly as described and the hosts are very easy to communicate with. Rules are simple and easy to follow. I would definitely stay again

A Great Vacation

Unit was exactly what we needed for a two-week getaway from the cold northern winter. Everything we needed was provided - pool towels, dinnerware, coffee pot (drip and Keurig) and grocery stores were close by. Would highly recommend. Only complaint is that it was on the second floor, but after two weeks we were used to them.

Avalon Clearwater

This is a wel appointed spacious (for a 1-BR) condo with a lovely 2nd floor porch. Comfortable bed, excellent water pressure and hot water, full kitchen & large capacity washer and dryer. Location is decent with Publix across the road and restaurant next door. While the immediate area is not exciting, access to Clearwater and environs is relatively easy. Hosts have done their best to think of everything.

Stay at Avalon at Clearwater, Tampa

I stayed at this apartment locayed in Largo, FL from January 16-23, 2018. For the PRO: The place had no review but it look very cute, clean and Dorothy and Peter were very accommodating before we come answering all our question so we decided to rent anyway although the price in my opinion was high. Dorothy and Peter allowed us to check in before time because my husband was not well. The bottle of wine on the counter was also a nice touch. They provide plenty of bath towels, beach towels, umbrella, beach chairs, even toys for children to play at the beach. Now for the CONS: The building itself leaves a little to the desired and the pool it is much smaller that would it look like in the pictures. The apartment is smaller than the pictures, just one room with a kitchen, dining room and living room. One bedroom and big bathroom. Also there is a big room off the bathroom that is like a storage room and closet. The apartment itself is old could use a little tlc as an example by taking off the rust stain on the tub faucet and in the bottom of the toilet. The washer and dryer are new but the dishwasher is old and it leaks water from the bottom. But was really bothered me was that the place was not very clean. The blinds are very dusty and you better not open any of the windows because there is a lot of dirt accumulated there. The patio table was also dirty, the floors in the house were clearly not washed and I even found food stuck under the table on the kitchen floor. The worse was the food encrusted plates and glasses. It was clear that whatever cleaning service they have did only a very superficial cleaning between guests. However, when I complained with Dorothy about the place not being clean when we had to pay a cleaning fee she only said that no one ever complained about the apartment not being clean and she was sorry for the inconvenience. But, food encrusted plates are more than inconvenience. I had to wash all the dishes, glasses, silver wear, pots and pans because I did not trust anything to be clean. I also had to wash the floors. I find really upsetting to pay a cleaning fee and then have to clean myself the place. I took pictures of all the problems so that Dorothy and Peter may not think I invented it all. Bottom line: it was not worth the price we payed

Dear Agata You know yourself what it was like. It's nice that you appreciate our communication with you and letting you and your ill husband come much earlier than our check-in hours. Our cleaning break is usually from 11 AM until 4 PM. After your mail suggesting that the situation was very serious, we let you come before 12 o'clock. Avalon buildings were built in the year 2000- we know many people who enjoy the Avalon architecture very much. You may or may not be in that group- there’s no accounting for taste ;) The swimming pool is not an Olympic sized swimming pool, however, it is big enough to fit all guests who are willing to swim. All pictures depict actual flat and were not changed in any way. The dimensions and detailed description of the apartment are available on our HomeAway profile. When we rent our flat we expect our guests to have read all the information provided. You must have known that there are only one bedroom and one bathroom- it is even mentioned in the title of the apartment. When you rent a 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom apartment you cannot expect to find more rooms there. You said that the apartment was small- it is actually one of the biggest 1 bedroom apartments in the Avalon Condominium, square feet wise. The dishwasher is not brand new but it is regularly checked for quality and has proven to be fully functional. We have no influence on the dust on the patio and windows- when it's windy it's natural for the dust to stay on outside surfaces. When you notified us of the dirty, in your opinion, surfaces we suggested that our cleaning service (that is available 24/7 on the condominium) could come and check, and potentially fix that. You decisively declined our offer. We have been renting another flat for over a year now- it is taken care of by the same cleaning service ever since we started. We are not able to verify if the described situation is true, however, a situation like that has never taken place before so we presume it's unlikely- especially because you notified us after a couple of hours (may we add- after lunch/dinner time). Our client's satisfaction is our priority. We offer apartment the way it is shown on our profile, in a very attractive and reasonable price. We hope your Florida vacation was enjoyable and only good memories remain.

a gem in Clearwater

The condo was exactly what was needed for a short Thanksgiving get away. Centrally located for easy short drives to Clearwater beaches, Dunedin, and Tarpon Springs, and very close to supermarket, stores, and restaurants. Clean and reliably functional for homemade meals and comfortable sleeping. We enjoyed our stay.

Think Twice Before Renting

Altho the property was conveniently located, the unit itself was filthy. - I washed all of the floors using a clean bucket of water for each of the four floors. Each bucket was murky black from the dirt. - I washed the bedspread bc it was dirty too. - The blinds, doors and light switches need a good dusting - The bed linen was old - I’m not sure the sheets were changed but they had those pill beads on them that made sleeping for me uncomfortable. (I bought sheets to use during my stay) - Lastly, the condo doesn’t look at all like the picture from the internet. Everything is old and worn. I’m sorry to be so harsh but I was very disappointed in this property. I would not recommend anyone staying here unless the owners do a deep cleaning and updating.

Dear Hope- when you arrived you let us know that everything was perfectly fine. Only after 3 days of your stay you contacted us asking for a bucket and a mop, because you wanted to clean the floors. We provided that, additionally offering for the cleaning service to come by and sort it out. You declined our offer. Floors tend to get dirty after a couple days of use. The bedsheets are natural cotton and are cleaned after each stay- in our opinion that goes without saying, as it's the bare minimum. Natural cotton sometimes degrades after frequent washing and drying. All the things you have mentioned we would have been happy to sort out, had you notified us of them. This is why at the beginning of your stay we always ask our guests to let us know about any problems they might have. We cannot fix any issues without knowing about them.

Great rental for my husband and I. Clean, cozy and had everything we needed for our stay. Owners are attentive and very nice. Only 10 minute drive to the beach and the location is in a great area. Thank you for wonderful place.

Nice spot

Nice location, plenty of amenities. Gated community and only one gate key so every time I came home from work my hubby had to drive all the way to the front to get the gate to open....and the apt is all the way in the back. Would have been nice to have 2 keys. Roof started leaking when it was raining, the host sent someone out to look at it but when they came out just said the condo association would have to fix the roof....so it will probably be leaking for awhile would be my guess.

Dorthy & Pete were awesome hosts . This Condo was perfect for a get away from the cold winter we had in MN. My family and I enjoyed our stay and would for sure book again . Price was very reasonable as well .

Met our needs

Unit was as described, neat and orderly. Owner very responsive to a few issues we had, which were minor. Plenty of parking. The location of the condo complex was in a much busier area than expected. Only con was the amount of noise from the neighbors above, and the trash bin outside. Weather was wonderfully warm, and we were close to the beach.

Clean, cozy unit in a quiet complex

I rented this unit for my mom to be a "snowbird" for a month from PA. This unit had everything she needed and it was very convenient to have shopping right across the street she could walk to. The pool is heated and was good for light exercise as well as walking around the complex. It is not really convenient to the beach if you don't have a car, but if you do, this is central to many local activities and a short drive to the beach. Dorothy and Pete were wonderful at responding to messages and even adjusting our reservation when needed. They were great hosts! I definitely recommend this for a single person or couple for a short or extended stay.

Winter get away

This unit was great! It was very clean, roomy & comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Love the covered patio. The owner was quick to answer any question or problems. The whole proper itself was well maintained. It’s close to a lot of restaurants. The only negative is the unit was in the very back of the property. Our view from the patio was parking lot of close businesses & dumpsters. We heard everyone throwing away their trash all day & trucks dumping garbage bins. Overall we would definitely reserve this unit again. Loved it!!!
