Welcome to After 9 to 5
Named as a nod to Dolly's iconic anthem, After 9 to 5 is a treehouse-style retreat. If you're wondering whether this looks like the photos—it does. Built in August 2025 and well-maintained.
Why This Property
What you're really wondering: Yes, it's really less than half a mile from Dollywood (you'll hear the roller coasters from the deck). Yes, we work hard to keep it as clean and well-maintained as the photos suggest. And yes, the "thoughtfully appointed" claim is real—we stock coffee, clean-ingredient toiletries, and you'll appreciate the kinds of details that make experienced travelers relax the minute they walk in.
Most listings claim to be "close to Dollywood." After 9 to 5 is so close you can hear the roller coasters. If proximity matters to your group, you won't find many options closer than this.
The Space
Two king bedrooms, two full bathrooms. Sleeps 4 guests comfortably—no pullout or sofa bed. The main floor king has a bathroom just steps away. Upstairs, you'll find a private king suite with its own en-suite bath—perfect for whoever claims it first! Both bathrooms feature walk-in showers with thoughtful, clean-ingredient toiletries.
The open-concept living area has that cabin-in-the-trees vibe without feeling rustic or dated. The kitchen is equipped for actual cooking—we're talking quality cookware, full-size appliances, all the essentials. Smart TVs in both bedrooms plus the living room. Fast WiFi throughout. Board games tucked in the foyer bench if you're staying in for the evening.
And that deck? You can hear Dollywood's coasters in the distance (and catch peek-a-boo glimpses of fireworks, depending on the season). It's one of those "wait, are we really this close?" moments.
The Location
In-town location with easy road access (no white-knuckle mountain drives), but surrounded by the beauty of the Smokies. Less than half a mile to Dollywood—a quick 5-minute drive. The road isn't pedestrian-friendly, but you're close enough to pop back anytime for afternoon breaks, wardrobe changes, or to let someone nap while others keep going. Rocky Top Mountain Coaster is just 0.6 miles away, and The Island is about 10 minutes down the Parkway.
Despite being so close to everything, it feels surprisingly peaceful. You'll hear the coasters, not constant traffic.
Easy access to all the major dining and entertainment options. This is the perfect home base for exploring everything the area offers.
What to Expect
You're still in the mountains. That means occasional wildlife (yes, including bears—secure your vehicles and remove food), changing weather, etc still happens. This is an active mountain environment. Stink bugs and other harmless insects are part of Smoky Mountain life, especially during seasonal transitions. The property itself is impeccably maintained and professionally cleaned, but we can't control what wanders in from the surrounding forest. If you've stayed in mountain rentals before, you know what to expect. If this is your first time, just know that nature doesn't stay entirely outside—and that's part of being in the Smokies.
Winter Advisory: Roads in the region can ice in winter months. You'll have to determine how comfortable you are driving in winter mountain conditions to get to the property. The property and city driving is the easy part.
Who This Is For
Experienced travelers will appreciate the thoughtful design and quality finishes—and the independence that comes with a vacation rental rather than a hotel. Couples or small families looking for a home base to explore Dollywood and the Smokies without sacrificing comfort or convenience.
