The gardens on the property and the bird song were added benefits to a very comfortable stay. We were very dry relaxed the entire time. Truly felt like a vacation if only for a few days. Excellent communication with host.

This property is outstanding! Beautiful setting and lovely home that has everything you could possibly need to enjoy a fun getaway. Check-in is a breeze and the amenities are plentiful. We enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch with a nice cool breeze coming in and listening to the birds sing It's a great place and we hope to return in the not-too-distant future.

We wanted to stay at a property for some relaxation and this property was gorgeous inside and out with breath taking view and nature dream. Carla was amazing .she was very professional , kind and understanding . Great to work with and went out of her way to make our trip possible. I love photographing bird and the nature reserve backing to lake Travis was amazing ! Seen many mammal and birds, thank you so much Carla for everything!! Love the property 11/10

Amazing property and responsive host. She’s thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. We visited when the bluebonnets were in all their glory on the property. The view from the screened in back porch down to the lake was beautiful. Highly recommend Carla’s home.

Beautiful stay. Just what we needed. Quiet and room to take walks on the property. Perfect views of the lake and lovely sitting areas for reading. Outdoor patios offer gorgeous views as well. Responsive host. Would absolutely stay again.

We had such a wonderful time in Spicewood while attending our niece's wedding. This property was the perfect spot for my sisters and I. We enjoyed the most relaxing afternoons going for walks, reading books, napping and recharging before and after the wedding. From the comfy beds, to the well stocked kitchen to the outdoor oasis with its cowboy pool and tree swing to that amazing master bath with the sky view...we felt so pampered and left happy. Thank you, Carla, for this beautiful retreat and much needed green break.

Lovely property, enjoyed everything about our stay. Host was communicative and kind. Home was lovely and well stocked with all essentials and so much more. Location was great, quiet all week long, and a lovely property to relax and enjoy nature. Screened balcony patio and lower level outdoor kitchen made for great family time day and night.

There could not be a more gorgeous and serene place than this rental. The description is absolutely correct. The owner is so incredibly nice and accommodating and caring. So great at communicating too. We had our wedding in Spicewood and this rental made it an even more special trip. All pros! Easy check in and out process, TVs, exceptionally well stocked, beautifully well maintained gardens. If you forgot something it just might already be there waiting for you (body wash, kitchen things, etc). Can’t wait to come back!

My family had such a lovely time. We stayed here during wildflower season and the weather was absolutely perfect. The landscaping and natural elements of the property ensure a peaceful environment for rest and play. The home is clean, comfortable, cozy, and well-equipped. My family especially enjoyed the board/card games. The patios and outdoor spaces are ideal for reading, meals, and nature watching. Carla is an excellent host with prompt, professional communication. If I could give a host more than 5 stars I would certainly do if for this host! ACCOMMODATING beyond words! I had some friends from Canada come to town and we needed to go to a 60th birthday party at a friend‘s house up in Spicewood. I got so lucky when we found this house there was only six minutes from their home. This house was fantastic we end up having a third couple stay with us, so with three couples, we thought maybe it would be tight. Absolutely was not, this house is spacious and lovely. Extremely clean! All the beds were extremely comfortable including the pillows, higher and sheets and blankets. I felt like was at my own lake house! Beautiful scenery, amazing wildflowers. I could go on and on… I highly recommend this location for anybody looking to book a getaway from the city! Thank you! We will book again!

The place and grounds are beautiful! It also was the perfect setup for our family. The dogs had plenty of space to explore with our young daughter in a safe gated area. Outside the gate, the grounds were also well-maintained. We enjoyed spending time at the place, and especially appreciated the kitchen with plenty of spices and availability of high end cookware that allowed us to enjoy more time at the place. Carla (host) was also very kind and responsive prior to and during our stay. We very much enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning again.

From booking to departure, Carla was in constant communication. The home itself was perfect. Each room is a separate suite, with each having its own bathroom. The views were amazing. The property is secluded and very peaceful at night. Our puppy enjoyed the stay the most, having multiple acres to explore and run about. If you’re looking for a peaceful, lakeside retreat you’ve found your place. Book right away!

Carla’s Lost Cove was a special experience from the moment we booked. Carla is the consummate host and it only got better when we arrived. The property was immaculate and well stocked with everything we needed, and the views were spectacular. Our favorites were morning sunrise and coffee on the screened porch, the comfy couches, blankets, and bedding, as well as cooking outside and the terrific porches. The perfect lakehouse to unwind and relax at.

This home brings you peace and comfort the minute you walk in. The property is very quiet and serene. Carla was very quick to respond to any questions and provided easy check in and check out. Each bedroom has its own bathroom providing privacy to you & your guests. The beds were comfortable and all my guests talked of how well they slept. The downstairs is its own suite or casita with added living room. A spectacular view of the hills & Lake Travis are seen from both floors. The accommodations were first rate including the furnishings and decor. Thanks again, Carla. I will highly recommend this home to friends and family.

Our girls' weekend getaway was nothing short of spectacular! Traveling from the constant hustle and bustle of the DFW metroplex, this Sophisticated, Serene Waterfront Paradise was exactly the medicine we needed. I am so thankful that we got to share a beautiful weekend with great friends.The property is the perfect sanctuary for anyone seeking peace. The combination of the gentle flow of Lake Travis and the lush greenery in the background creates a superb, calming atmosphere. Our mornings were incredibly quiet and restorative; there is nothing quite like watching the sunrise while deer graze peacefully on the lawn just a few feet away.The layout of the home was perfect for our group. We spent our days soaking in the views and our evenings engaged in team-building and games that brought us all together for a fun-filled, stylish experience in the Hill Country.The location is also hard to beat. We took a trip to the nearby Krause Springs, which is an absolute must-see! Since the wildflowers were in bloom during our stay, the drive and the destination were both breathtakingly beautiful.Lastly, a huge thank you to the owner. They were incredibly attentive and available whenever we had a question, ensuring our stay was seamless from start to finish. If you are looking for a place to disconnect and recharge in style, this is it. We can’t wait to come back!

I purchased this property in 2005 as a family retreat. After hectic work weeks in our cities - Austin, Houston and Shreveport - we spent family time on the water - swimming, boating, skiing and fishing -, cooking, and staying up until the wee hours playing dominoes, cards and board games. Always with the family dogs - mostly labs and shih tzus, but a few dearly loved mutts. During the meteor showers in August, we spread blankets, turned out the lights, and counted shooting stars. When the weather turned cold, we made a big fire to burn a year's accumulation of brush and roast a mountain of marshmallows.
I'm grateful that we were able to make such special memories. Now I want to share this place so others can make their own memories.
