The Rip at Selah- Unique Bunkhouse Style Retreat - Close to OU Campus

Welcome to The Rip, tucked away at the end of the road in the Cottage Woods area of the Selah community just South of Norman. This bunkhouse-style retreat combines rustic charm with modern comfort, making it the perfect space to unwind and reconnect. Wake up to peaceful views and wildlife of the surrounding woods, and enjoy evenings around your private fire pit. Whether you’re visiting for a family vacation, a reunion, or a weekend escape, you’ll find plenty of space and tranquility here.

The space
The main floor has two comfy suites—one with a king bed, the other with a queen—and both bathrooms are downstairs. Up the spiral staircase, you’ll find a loft-style space with four full-sized beds, arranged in two separate areas divided by an open hallway. Each side has two beds and its own closets, perfect for families or groups.

You’ll feel like you’re getting away—but you’re still super close to everything: just minutes from Riverwind Casino, about 10 miles to OU and the Young Family Athletic Center, and roughly 30 minutes from Will Rogers Airport.

You’ll be staying in Selah, a peaceful, developing community tucked away, just south of Norman. It’s quiet out here— the kind of place where you can really slow down. Sip your morning coffee on the porch, watch for wildlife, or hang out by your private fire pit.

When you’re ready for some fun, you can play cornhole, pickleball, or table tennis— all available the same hours as Pryor’s Pizza Kitchen (open Thursday–Sunday). There’s also Sip Coffee (open daily) for your caffeine fix or a cute spot to hang out.

Selah is a great mix of comfort and calm, with space to relax and places to explore.

Guest access
You have access to two private parking spaces (more at the top of the neighborhood) and you have access to the entire cottage.

Please note some cell phone carriers do not have great service in Cottage Woods. We recommend connecting to Wi-Fi and turning on Wi-Fi calling in your settings. Or you can opt not to and enjoy an unplugged trip!
