Nice place to stay. Gorgeous views of surrounding hills. Easy access to Los Feliz, Silverlake, and Echo Park. Plenty to do in the immediate area as well. Don’t miss Porto’s (bakery) or Raffi’s Place (Persian food).

10 min drive from apartment - outdoor mall with luxury shopping, dining, movie theater
Porto’s bakery. Famous fried rice balls and guava-cheese pastry.

Nice property but some construction work going on so the lifts weren’t working which was a bit of a nuisance. Other than that all goes good.

I arrived at the property and was greeted by the host, who showed me the apartment and provided basic instructions. The unit itself was clean and had a nice view, which I appreciated.However, I was disappointed with the bathroom setup and the limited supplies provided. I could only find half a roll of toilet paper, and there was leftover body wash that appeared to have been left behind by a previous guest. The bathing situation was also uncomfortable — the only option was to stand in a bathtub without a shower curtain, and because of the low ceiling, I had to duck to avoid hitting my head while rinsing with a hand held shower head. Overall, while the apartment had some positives, the lack of basic necessities and the inconvenient bathroom setup made the stay less comfortable than expected for the price. I’m not sure I would choose to stay there

The host is nice but the property was not livable for me — I booked a four night stay and left after the first night, effectively eating the cost of three nights’ accommodation.The space was visibly dusty around baseboards and there were cobwebs behind the headboard. The comforter had visible dust and cobwebs. This dust activated my allergies and I couldn’t breathe. I visited in June and AC was effectively useless. It did not cool the space, though I could ostensibly “control” it using the Nest unit installed on the wall. Towels were hard and rough, bedding was missing top sheet and was dusty. I also encountered a couple of spiders during my 16 hours in the space. The space was definitely pretty and the view was INCREDIBLE, but the host limits use of 1/2 of the surfaces which makes it very hard to be comfortable. I feel badly writing this review bc the host was nice and was responsive to messages, but the issues I was having with temp control and dust allergies were severe enough I couldn’t even ask her to mitigate, I just needed to vacate asap so I could breathe in a nice cold room. If you don’t might roughing it (literally re: towels), are not sensitive to heat or dust, and are mostly focused on having a great view, this place might work for you. It did not work for me.

I'll start with the highlights: this place was spotlessly clean, and since it's situated in the hills you have an absolutely gorgeous view--like staying in a hill town in Tuscany. The bed was also quite comfortable, and the area is very quiet, despite the resident Rottweiler. But this is not a good pick for anyone with mobility problems, since there are two steeps flights of stairs up to the property--luckily the host was there at check-in and check-out to assist with my heavy bags. Inside the apartment there are many different levels (because the apartment is built into a hillside), so countless opportunities for tripping and falling and toe-stubbing, especially in the low-ceilinged bathroom, where the toilet sits up on a raised tile platform (ouch!). Showering involved crouching in a clawfoot tub with no shower curtain, and this was a challenge for my 67-year-old back. Finally, one reason I chose this place was because it was (according to the listing) a "one-minute walk" from Forest Hills memorial park, but unless there is some secret back entrance, it's more like a 40-minute walk around the hill to the gates of the park--I ended up taking an Uber. I didn't have a car, so parking could well be a challenge here. SO--if you are young and spry and really love pink, you will enjoy this place. As for me, it wasn't the most comfortable stay.

So when I arrived I met with a gentleman he was nice and helped me with my luggage up the 2 flights of stair, when walking up the stairs there was a Rottweiler which was a guard dog the owner said the dog was nice but later when I was coming back from buying groceries the dog launched at me luckily it was on a leach. I reached out to the host and he denied that ever happened and pretty much called me a liar i also told that the ac wasn’t working they have it locked with a pin password so you can’t change it, they had no paper towels and one roll of toilet paper for 9 days. They also have very strict rules that they don’t send until you check in, you can’t have guests I was having guests and they were constantly checking their cameras to see if I had people over and would harass me via the Vrbo app saying I’m breaking the rules I had to pay an extra 270 to have guests this place is a money grab. They had a broken tile in the restroom that had been previously broken and they blamed me for that to file an insurance claim which is another money grab. Do not stay this place unless you enjoy being watched constantly by the tenant I felt uncomfortable and definitely not at home. These people are just money grabbing and doing fraudulent insurance claims to either update the place or keep for themselves. Oh and another rule you can’t wear shoes in the house so renter beware.
