Perfect Stay

We took a four-night family vacation to Encinitas and Debbie's house was ideal in every way. Plenty of space, beautifully and comfortably furnished, and just a short walk to the beach, shopping, and meditation garden. We'll be back!

Gorgeous Home

We loved our stay at this gorgeous Encinitas property. It's a short distance to both the beach and downtown Encinitas. It's clean and the kitchen is very well stocked with everything you would need. There's a beautiful patio in the back and supplies to take to the beach as well. We had a wonderful vacation and enjoyed our time there!

Paradise steps from the beach

Well appointed little house near the beach with its own private courtyard and garden. Spent my mornings in the courtyard watching the hummingbirds. Walking distance to lots of restaurants and Main Street. Hope to return again!

What a lovely home. Terrific backyard and unbeatable location. Debbie's communication was great throughout the process and the check-in/check-out steps were intuitive. Be sure to review the full rules before booking this property, as there are tight rules on guests, quiet hours, dos and don'ts. Assuming you're comfortable with the requirements, the home, host and location are lovely.

Cozy, comfortable, convenient

Charming home: very convenient to beach, views, and fun of Encinitas. Comfortable patio connected the back guest house to breezy open air common areas, providing a wonderful socializing/dining space and maximizing privacy of the bedrooms. Bikes were excellent way to get to beach and toys were much appreciated in the waves. Owner provided exemplary instructions to enjoy house amenities and make check in & out a breeze. We’ll hope to stay here again our next trip to San Diego.

Beautiful, Clean Beach House

The house was very clean and updated. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Location was convenient to restaurants and Moonlight Beach. There were boogie boards, beach umbrellas, towels, and bikes available to use during our stay. We didn't get a chance to use the bikes, but we enjoyed the beach cart and my sons learned to boogie board! My family and I enjoyed this house and the town of Encinitas. Legoland was also very close by. Would recommend this home.

Amazing house for two families to share; walking distance to everything!

This is an extremely clean, and luxurious house but share. Less than 5min walk to town (tons of restaurants and stores) and amazing beaches for surfing swimming or families! Comes stocked with great ammenities- Netflix , sonos, everything u need to cook. I will share the level of detail/ rules and contract you get shown to rent is initially very daunting and way more than any home I've rented in 7yrs, but it is beutiful and Debbie was extremely responsive and easy to deal with!

Absolutely gorgeous and comfortable

The home was very beautiful with a great kitchen! We loved it. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because it was not as clean as expected. Bathroom mats were not washed and extra blankets were not washed. The kitchen had lots of ants that we had to take care of. Overall we had a great stay.

Thank you for your nice comments on the house. I am so sorry about what you experienced in regards to cleanliness. There was a recent rainstorm and gardening done which may have led to the ants coming in - they tend to do that sometimes after rain. I'm sorry you had to deal with them. I would have had the cleaner come if you wanted. Turns out the bathmats were stained from previous guests - they were 100% clean, just stained. I have ordered new ones so hopefully it will not be a problem. We ask guests to leave dirty linens out so we know when they need to be washed. We had no idea someone left dirty blankets in the closet. I will ask the cleaner to be sure to check that from now on. Thank you.

Beautiful, modern Eninitas Beachhouse

My family stayed here in late July, 2018. The pictures don't do justice to how beautiful and clean the house is. All new finishes, hardwood floors, beautiful backyard courtyard, and awesome casita. Location was also great as we could walk to the beach. Beach toys and bikes are provided, as well as all towels so that was a plus. The only reason that I am giving it four instead of five stars is there is no central air. The house has beautiful big windows which let the nice breeze in, just would have been nice to close windows as sounds from traffic and train made sleeping a challenge (front room only).

I'm sorry you did not realize there was no a/c before renting. It is not common for places along the coast in San Diego to have a/c - it is so rarely needed. But with climate changing, the weather was definitely more warm this year.

Wonderful property that feels like authentic Encinitas, indoor/ourdoor living, beachy, and comfortable. The property was very organized and it was easy to locate what we needed. We didnt use the kitchen or grills since there are so many walkable restaurants, coffee shops, etc, but the spaces were definitely nice areas to relax after an active day, especially the patio. It was warm when we were there, so the fans were great to have. And the outdoor shower was nice to rinse off after time at the beach. I think the only thing would be maybe think about putting a key code on one of the doors since there is already enough to think about while traveling and mailing the keys back is another step to think about. Overall, we really enjoyed the property!! Restaurant Recommendations: Temaki sushi, Puntamar, The Taco Stand, and the cute French café one block east.

Lovely, well-equipped home

We had a great stay. Debbie was easy to work with and the house is comfortable and very well-equipped. We walked to get coffee, food, etc every day, and could walk 30 seconds to see a gorgeous sunset every night. Renters should be aware that there is no HVAC system in the main house at all. There is a fireplace in the living room that does an admirable job of heating the space over time, but there is no thermostat so you can only adjust the heat by turning the fireplace off and on. Most of the time: no big deal. During a cold January....it was a bit of deal. We used a small space heater in the master bedroom/bath area so that helped. Also...a plus is the huge windows front and back for natural light...and also a minus, since there is not great privacy. Kind of a fish bowl, but we got used to it. And the bedroom roller shades are not opaque, which could be an issue if you have people staying across the courtyard in the casita. At night, with the lights on in the bedroom, you can see in. Could benefit from some opaque blinds.

Great property, great location

We really enjoyed our stay. The property is nice and updated, has everything you need, and is in a great location. The fact that there is a separate casita and a nice outdoor patio and garden in between makes it feel even more open and spacious. Debbie was very nice to work with. I definitely recommend staying here!

Perfection @ The Beach Haus

We spent a wonderful week at the Haus in mid August. The home itself was spotless, tasteful and well furnished with all the supplies a vacationing family could want. The separate little home, or casita, was truly a big win for our 17-year-old. But the setup would also suit two families very well. Location is perfect ... 1/2 a block and you are at a small park, ideal for watching the sun burn into the Pacific every evening. Head East a few blocks and you are on the 101 with all the coffee shops, restaurants and shopping you can handle. And Moonlight Beach is only a quick couple of blocks away.

The house is located so that you can walk to the downtown and moonlight beach.

It's nice to have to separate living areas- would be nice to have an umbrella in the outdoor space for the afternoon sun.

Great beach getaway

Very clean and modern. 2 separate houses worked great for our family. The location in Encinitas couldn't be better, the beach and downtown are easy walking distance. We will be back.

Great location and amenities

A group of 5 women stayed here for a girls weekend. The house has high end amenities and super comfortable beds as well as cruiser bikes and beach chairs. It had everything we could want and more. It is just a short walk to coffee and to the main street with all the shops and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

This house is a short walk to the beach, stores, places to eat etc. We loved it! It was great being able to eat and hangout in the backyard after a long day at the beach. Perfect house!
