Such a cozy, quiet, and peaceful place! We absolutely loved the layout and design, both inside and out. Everything was spotless and smelled amazing every time we walked in. It felt so welcoming. It was a perfect stay for a weekend getaway!

Josh was super helpful when we booked the wrong dates for our trip. He personally reached out by phone when we were trying adjust our arrival. This apartment is comfortable, clean, and nicely finished. The neighborhood is quiet and close enough to the downtown area to enjoy what Lincoln has to offer.

This was one of the more unique places I've stayed. I loved the architecture of the building being an old elementary school and the condo was in excellent condition. The property is in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to downtown and a quick walk to UNL sporting events. I would stay here again!

This place exceeded my expectations. Very well decorated, smelled amazing. It was so clean and comfortable. I was hesitant initially judging from the outside because I have never seen a school transitioned to that magnitude. There are cameras everywhere on the outside so it helped with the low lighted areas outside. Beware of the shower! It packs a mean punch and you can’t turn the shower head down. Water pressure is intense. Other than that 10/10, would recommend and will stay again.

You'll be staying just a short 5-minute walk from the iconic Memorial Stadium, making this an ideal stay for guests who want to experience Husker football excitement or stroll to Haymarket Park & Hawks Field for Husker Baseball. Sports fans will also enjoy easy access to the Devaney Center and State Fairgrounds, while music and entertainment lovers are minutes from Pinnacle Bank Arena.

A Touch of History – Hayward School → Hayward Place

Your stay here isn’t just modern and comfortable—it’s steeped in Lincoln history. The building was once Hayward School, one of the city’s oldest surviving schoolhouses.

Built in 1903–1904, with additions in 1913 and 1925, the school showcased Classical and Georgian Revival architecture. Its east entrance was adorned with terra cotta ornamentation and the inscription “Hayward School.”

It served Lincoln Public Schools for decades, until being decommissioned in 1981.

Rather than being demolished, the structure was reborn as Hayward Place, carefully adapted into modern residences while honoring its architectural past.

When you stay here, you’re experiencing both the heritage of a 120-year-old landmark and the comfort of a fully updated boutique space.
