Hello Cameroon, I'm sorry that despite numerous conversations, you still haven't figured out the calculation for your stay. You probably won't read what I write, but I'm happy to explain anyway because I'm an honest person with no hidden secrets. As clearly described in the publication, the minimum number of rooms we rent for exclusive use for VILLA BENFENATI is 3 rooms, which implies a cost per room of €833 (plus VRBO commissions). You booked for 8 guests, so a fourth room, which you paid for via VRBO, was €560 (VRBO commissions). The asking price for another 3 rooms close to check-in, since you wanted 7 rooms in total for 11 guests, was the same as the price paid for the 4th room, and since it was paid directly, without VRBO platform commissions, there's absolutely nothing suspicious about it. We sincerely believe that €48 per night per guest for a room in high season is not at all excessive, if two guests used it as a single room, even €96. Nothing mysterious or expensive. The price is based on the number of rooms you want, not the number of guests. Up to 2 per bedroom. Energy and gas costs are clearly described in our publications, and at check-in, I also provide the previous week's consumption for information purposes. So, there are no surprises or lack of clarity, as the meters are read at check-in and check-out and the exact consumption is calculated at €0.60 per kW for electricity and €6.50 per cubic meter for gas for hot water. This works out to about €3 per day per guest, which in your case comes to about €20 per week. Shocking? Energy costs (especially for the pool)... obviously, whether there are 11 guests or just one, consumption remains the same, so whether you left the day before check-in with 7 and stayed with 4 makes absolutely no difference. Regarding coffee, where does it say that consumption will be maintained for 11 guests for a week free of charge? If you wish, you can use the capsules made available for Italian espresso at €0.50 per capsule.... It's certainly not mandatory to use it, but it's not free either. We offer plenty of unusual gifts, it seems, just read our reviews: • Upon check-in, a complimentary welcome dessert and pasta with ragù • Midweek, lasagna, always for all guests. In your case, a complimentary birthday cake is also included because you were celebrating this anniversary, and we always do this when there are birthdays because when we register guests at the police station, we know their birth dates and we surprise them with a cake and candle. • Not to mention the table setting with plates, glasses, tablecloths, floral decorations, and candles for the dinner on Monday, August 10th, organized by you with your chef... always free! Check-out was August 15th, which in Italy is FERRAGOSTO... A HOLIDAY, a busy day for us because this year it fell on a Saturday and since we own 7 other guest residences, all of which are occupied... in addition to that, our family also owns a zoo... so we're also busy with the opening of the zoo... The very early check-out in the morning was especially appreciated when you let us know at check-in... I'm sorry if my brother was intrusive and started cleaning the rooms that had been vacated the previous day 30 minutes before departure, but I had mentioned this request to your friend APRIL, if it had been possible, at our meeting on Friday when paying for utilities... and she told me that there would be no problems, especially since the 4 rooms with bathrooms belonging to the guests who had left the previous day were being cleaned, not the ones with the guests present. It's always been our choice to offer even smaller families/groups the opportunity to rent VILLA BENFENATI for exclusive use, even with just three bedrooms, by closing off four of them and therefore paying only for those available.
