Welcome to Eboleth House, a beautifully restored farmhouse on the shores of the Eggemoggin Reach. Enjoy a central peninsula location, making it easy to get to most any seaside town on the peninsula. Elobeth House is a wonderful retreat to enjoy both the ocean and woods.



Eboleth House is a four bedroom, 1.5 bath home in Sargentville. The home is stylish, recently renovated and packed with all the comforts of home. Relax on the large wrap-around porch or take a short walk through the field that leads you to the shared beach access. The ocean frontage overlooks the Deer Isle bridge and the breathtaking views of Eggemoggin Reach and beyond.



The first floor of Eboleth House has a kitchen, living area, dining room and half bathroom. The home has an open first floor concept which makes gathering together a cinch. Eboleth’s kitchen has all of the cooking utensils you’ll need to prepare meals at home and offers an eight seat dining table inside for group meals. If that’s not your speed for the day there is also a spacious, screened-in, covered deck to enjoy the sea-salty air without swatting bugs. The living room is comfortably furnished with ample seating as well as a small electric fireplace to set the mood on those chilly or rainy evenings or mornings. The first floor of the home is rounded out with a half bathroom complete with a stackable washer and dryer.



All of the bedrooms are on the second floor at Eboleth House. The access to the sleeping quarters is achieved by climbing a beautiful spiral staircase made of very sturdy unique tree branches and built by the original owner’s father, a master craftsman. There are four bedrooms at Eboleth House: two full bedrooms and one queen bedroom. The primary bedroom has a King size bed and a Juliette balcony to catch a look at the stars before bed or enjoy some afternoon bird watching over the Reach. As an aside for those weary or not in like with spiral stairs: a second set of standard stairs, located near the main entryway allows for easier access to the second floor.



Situated in Sargentville, Eboleth House is an ideal central location for visiting the nearby charming towns of Blue Hill, Brooklin, Brooksville, Deer Isle and Stonington. Take a day trip to the busy tourist areas of Bar Harbor and Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National park and then return to the peace and quiet for a relaxing and carefree evening. Pets are welcomed with prior approval. Eboleth House has been completely updated for comfort and convenience, while still keeping its original turn of the century charm. Great home for relaxing family vacation!

Eboleth had everything we could have wanted; extremely well-equipped kitchen, spacious bedrooms, roomy yet cozy living room, and great screened-in porch with ample seating. The home is filled with welcoming touches, from the games, puzzles, and books to the throw blankets and pet bowls. Although located close to a busy road, with the windows closed, road noise was negligible even in the bedroom closest to the road. Beach access was within easy walking distance, and wildlife sightings were plentiful.

Beautiful and relaxing!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Eboleth House. We arrived at night to find a very clean and inviting home. And we woke the next morning to find a beautiful piece of property! We enjoyed walking down to the beach, cooking in the (well-equipped) kitchen, playing available board games, and watching movies. There were so many great hikes nearby and we liked that it was close to Acadia. We would definitely stay here again!

We had another great vacation at Eboleth House.

This was our second time staying at the Eboleth house and it was so relaxing and enjoyable. They think of every need you could have and then add the extra touches to make you feel special. Our grandchildren love it!! We all love it. Last year we went to Acadia and visited other nearby sites and beaches, but this year we came to the realization that the best beach and adventure is just through the nicely mowed path at the beach. It’s so private and the kids love swimming in the water and searching for sea glass and shells. I enjoyed reading my book by the water and the dogs had a blast on the beach. It was wonderful. We look forward to next year.

Scenic and Beautiful

First time in Maine and the place and town didn’t disappoint. From the wrap around front porch to the short walk to the beach. The bedding was comfortable and the house was so private and secure. I will say make sure which is nothing of the homeowners fault just northern states to watch for ticks. The kitchen had everything we needed plus a crockpot which was great for our chili:) thank you and will recommend always.

Pleasant and well equipped

We found Eboleth House a perfect base for exploring both Deer Isle and mainland sights (and sounds--lovely chamber concert in Blue Hill). The immediate setting is quiet and peaceful. (Yes, you sometimes hear the bridge traffic, but it is not intrusive even when you are out on the wonderful screened porch). We have rented in lots of places over the years, and found the Eboleth House kitchen one of the best and most sensibly equipped. We had a memorable scallop dinner. The house was very clean, and it was easy to operate everything. (We did turn the heat pump up to 65 on one cold summer night). And while there is a long stretch of grass between the house and the water, it was nice being able to walk down to the shore of the Reach. (The stairs are very steep). The porch is a perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring. It gets a nice breeze most of the time and is well shaded, so even hot days are very comfortable. My star rating reflects my personal view that 5 is spectacular in all respects, and 3 meets expectations. I'd put the house more at 4.6/7, so you could round up to 5.
