This Oceanwoods Cottage has views of the natural surrounding foliage and is within walking distance to the beach. Your guests will love the beautiful floors and spacious living area, especially when you serve them up the delicious h'orderves you've prepared in the fully-equipped kitchen. Challenge someone to a match down at the shared tennis court then go for a long walk along a beautiful Atlantic shoreline.

If you want to experience something a little different, why not try some horseback riding? Kiawah Island boasts a number of equestrian centers and stables, all under 16 miles away, where you can feel the thrill of these magnificent animals. Speaking of animals, Kiawah has over 30 miles of awesome trails that you can use for some serious nature exploration. Be sure to check out Bohicket Marina, about 5 miles away, where you can charter boats for deepsea fishing, take sunset cruises, check out dolphin tours, and visit terrific restaurants and rooftop taverns.

The house was a great value for what it is —comfortable, with a bit of wear and tear. A few of the dishes weren’t clean and it seemed like the dishwasher hadn’t been run before our arrival. That said, we loved the location and the amount of space. It was very quiet, and the kids especially enjoyed the games and puzzles provided. A bike rack would have been a great addition, but overall it was a nice stay in a great spot.

The location, proximity to the beach access was very good. Beds were comfy, plenty of towels & kitchen had plenty of dishes, etc. good value for the price.

Cute little cottage in the heart of beautiful Kiawah. It was well equipped and comfortable. Short walk to the beach. A few things are showing their age but nothing a few repairs or updates couldn’t fix. Would stay here again.

We asked to check in early and were told that it wasn't cleaned yet. So when we got there we had trouble getting into the door via auto lock. We had to call for maintenance and it took 30 mons for them to arrive. Once we got it it was dirty with cobwebs and door were filthy. We spent first 30 mins or so cleaning. The sliding door was too hard for wife and daughter to open and when we opened it it kept coming off the tracks. So we couldnt use the the door the majority of the trip.

Cute Beach Cottage so Close to The Beach

Our stay was wonderful! The house was clean and perfect for our group of 6 for a girls trip. It had everything we needed — plenty of towels and blankets to stay cosy. It seemed a little bigger in person than reviews (which we loved!) a great space for a beach cottage! Biggest plus was being SO CLOSE to the beach— an easy walk with a great boardwalk so close by. We would definitely stay again! Hoping to bring my family soon.

Great experience

We had a wonderful stay. The location is excellent- so close to the beach and lovely woods. The house was warm and inviting and had what we needed.

Overall good.

The notable features of this rental are the location and generally the comfort. It is amazingly located in an area rich with trees and a quick beautiful walk down a path and a boardwalk to the beach--only like 100 yards. it is a very private and beautiful path. Was my favorite part. The beach was amazing. Literally 90 second walk and you're there. The owner has beach chairs and a little wheely cart thing to tote your stuff to the beach, plus lots of sand toys and blow ups (as of March 2025). They have lots of videos, games, puzzles, and books that are also great for families.

Beach fun

It was too cold to get in the water but the beach is just a short walk and it’s fabulous. The house was perfect, it was everything we needed and expected.

Perfect location but too many issues for the price

This location is AMAZING! Unfortunately there were several things that need addressed for this price point. The carpet is very dirty and smells. I wouldnt want my small children crawling on it. Several items were broken including blinds and lamps. There are no TVs in the guest bedrooms since was an issue with teenagers. The master shower is supposed to have 2 glass doors but i guess one broke at some point and rather than fixing they hung a very cheap plastic shower curtain. The 2nd bath had no tub stopper so unable to bathe children other than shower. If the price had been SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper these items wouldnt have been deal breakers. But with some repairs this would be an excellent place.

Easy, quiet 3 minute path to the beach!

House is comfortable and attractive. Great open flow. Super close to the beach. Just a 3 minute walk down a quiet path. Gorgeous neighborhood!

Convenient for Kiawah Marathon weekend

Previous reviews were fairly accurate - the place was a little tired and could use some updates and general maintenance, as well as more attention to detail for guests checking in. There was food garbage left from previous guests - the inside temp was 54 degrees and took the entire first evening to warm up. Clearly no one had been there but we never got a text that we could check in prior to 4 pm. It was convenient for a spot to stay during a very busy marathon weekend with few other options to book on the island or I would have looked elsewhere based on reviews…

Great Location But Dated Property

Location was great but the property was shabby. Dated furniture, and decorations. Sliding door was impossible to open. Deck was rough. Refrigerator door required two people to pull it open. Air conditioner was out for two days during heat wave. Handheld shower broken off in main shower. No mattress pad on main bed. But it is very convenient to beach and Kiawah is amazing. Just don't spend too much time in the house.

Great location

Very quiet and a great family vacation. Very clean and comfortable. You are a minute from the beach. Kiawah island is awesome. I will be staying here again.

Great location. Great house layout.

We live love this neighborhood but will look for a better maintained house next time. Master bathroom very dark. Outlets so loose they will not hold a charger or appliance. Air vents very dirty. Placemats filthy and some plates had dried food on them. Mismatched cooking utensils and pots and pans. Pretty old and stained.
