The home had 4 large bedrooms each with a bath. Perfect for a foursome on a golf trip. Keurig was questionable at best. We did get it to work but would recommend they get a new one! We would come back again!

Would give the house a 3.5 if I could. On the plus side, the house was very clean, close enough to beach to walk (10 min-which we knew going in) and perfect for the size of the group we had. the porches are great for hanging out, playing cards, etc. On the downside, it is very dated. I doubt much has changed since it was built. The pullout couch is nearly unusable from a comfort standpoint, the master shower has such a low stream of water, we thought about using other showers. the grill MUST be replaced. The kitchen is nice but very few items for use for a large group. Only spices were salt and pepper. we had to buy all spices, foil, bags, cling wrap, etc. these are items normally left by previous renters. Possible the cleaning staff throws everything away, or the house does not rent much during the summer months. Seems obvious these are the reasons the house rents for less than others in the area. I think this would be a great spot for 4 golfers. Good location. Our group did have a great time and we will be going back. just not to this property.

Memorial Week

Our family came to Kiawah for the week. The house and location was beautiful. We had trouble with the upstairs cooling consistently throughout the week. None of the bathroom receptacles worked even with all the light switches on. That was an inconvenience due to drying hair and getting ready . All the beds were comfortable for guests except the upstairs front bed. The mattress was very uncomfortable. The house was well equipped for guest. We enjoyed the closeness to the beach and pool. Our family had a good time being with each other making memories.

Poor Experience

Upstairs AC broke on day 1. Vacasa & Owners tried blaming us for it breaking when in fact it was an ancient unit and the owners did not properly maintain it. HVAC was not fixed until the final day of the trip. the end of the trip. Temps upstairs were in the high 80’s and all Vacasa initially offered was a fan, forcing half the family to sleep in the hot upstairs until they finally provided an alternative place for half of us to sleep. This took Hours on the phone wasted with Vacasa instead of enjoying our vacation. We weren’t able to spend time as a family due to being split up for a majority of the stay. The advertised sleeper sofa was NOT in the living as described but actually in the primary bedroom. This resulted in 1 couple sleeping on the sofas downstairs. The ice machine in the fridge was broken so we had to buy ice bags all week. False advertising and poor management resulted in a 1-star experience.

Kiawah Christmas

This house provided our family the perfect place to enjoy Christmas. Plenty of space with beautiful views. Many bike rides, beach walks, amazing food and of course golf.

Wonderful Thanksgiving

Very comfortable home with plenty of space for everyone. We had out family Thanksgiving here for the whole week and I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

Enjoyed Our Stay

The house was big enough for all of us and did not seem crowded. Could use some more dishes and utensils. Location was great easy beach access.One first floor shower could use more pressure. We were able to get in the house early which was good for the traveling babies.

Kiawah Island house

The home was beautiful we stayed in. Clean inside but a lot of cob webs on all the porches & balconies we had to clean up so we could enjoy them. Quiet neighborhood. Over all great vacation.

Beach vacation

We had a wonderful time on Kiawah. The property is situated close to the beach (short bike ride away). Plenty of pots and pans to cook with. Porch was nice as well.

Needs Love

Kitchen was lacking necessary cooking utensils, spatula, drinking glasses, needs lighter for Grill as the lighter did not work. Grill was not cleaned. Back porch needed sweeping. Kitchen totally unorganized.. a hodge podge of unnecessary stuff verses necessary items.. Rat dropping on back porch where screen was torn…

Nice location but Needs Updating

This was a good location for us - near the pool 3 houses away - but a long walk to the beach 1.5 miles. The house itself needs a lot of work. The front porch and back porch were filthy. The back porch was screened in but had so many holes in the screens it was not worth it. A bathroom door was broken, the front door handle kept falling off, the ice maker stopped working, the trash can could not slide out properly, the water pressure in the master bathroom shower was only a trickle. The walls were scarred and marked up and the whole place could use a new coat of poaint.

Very Disappointed!

Ok property but not very clean. While allowing dogs (and we had ours) lowers one’s expectations, having multiple large and dark pee stains on all of the carpets was gross. Using the bottle of Resolve we found under the kitchen sink, we spent nearly 2 hours trying to remove stains. Very disappointed. We also had to replace several light bulbs that had burned out, several pillow covers were badly stained and the extra single bed had no sheets.

Don’t use the garbage disposal!

Checked in Tuesday all good. Pool was closed and we didn’t know that. Dead flowers in kitchen. Lots of spiders and dead bugs on screened in porch Only ate breakfast at the home. Thanksgiving day we started to prepare feast. Used the garbage disposal. Mistake! Huge back up. Manger said they couldn’t fix til Friday. We said ok but could you at least provide us with a cutting board for carving the Turkey. They gave us to 5x8s that we put together. Than the kicker. Because of the way the plumbing was done couldn’t rinse dishes or use dishwasher! Now the real kicker. Friday comes call at 8:30, 11:30, 12:30. They said the maintenance was on his way and I could take my grandkids to see Santa. Came back at 3:30. Note on door be back shortly need to get a snake! Called manager again half hour later maintenance shows up. We have dinner reservations at 5,30 so he does the repair we only have time to shower and go. As we were checking out Saturday by 11 am. I spent the rest of the night cleaning up dishes and pots and pans. Not a pleasant vacation

Great house - family of 4 adult couples.

Great house for a family vacation - 2 parents and 3 young adult "children" with their spouses. Had all we needed for 4 adult couples to enjoy the house, close to the beach either by short walk or bike ride. Thank you.

very disappointed

The property could be really nice and we were certainly expecting it to be. The home was not properly cleaned when we arrived - Urine on the toilet, dirty kitchen counter, coffee maker had old grounds in it and dishwasher not even emptied. Showers were covered in black mold around the bottom and the shower curtain & blinds in one of the baths also moldy. Floors not properly swept and carpets very dirty. And Vacasa boasts 'additional cleaning due to covid'. There wasn't adequate basic cleaning done. Props to the property manager for trying her best to take care of what she could by sending the cleaning team out twice more, replacing the curtain and having the carpets cleaned. The sink broke while we were there and she had it repaired the next day. Vacasa needs to do better; cleaning team definitely needs to do better and the homeowner needs to do some repairs. Sorry to have to leave a negative review. I would not rent this property again nor will I rent through vacasa again,

Great location, poor customer service

We were told check in was at 4:00. When we arrived at 4:15, the cleaning staff was still there. Note this was in early June 2020 and they were NOT wearing masks, although Vacasa guaranteed a deep clean and that all cleaners would be wearing masks. The cleaners abruptly left without finishing cleaning. The upstairs bathroom was still toothpaste stained from the prior guest, and they did not vacuum, clean the floors. The. towels were all stacked dirty on the washing machine. We were told there would be a welcome package of basics like soap, etc., which they did not leave. We called the customer service line left by Vacasa and waited for more than an hour with no answer. We did this three times and finally by the fourth day of the trip, somebody finally answered after an hour wait. They said they would bring some supplies for us and also repair a bathtub drain that was broken. When the guy came, he walked straight into the house WITHOUT a mask. Finally, a code is required to get into the neighborhood pool, and this is nowhere in the house or materials. We finally had to ask a neighbor for the code because we did not want to call Vacasa and wait on hold. We had planned another rental with Vacasa Kiawah in August and just cancelled it. Will never use them again.

Perfect family getaway!

We’ve stayed in a number of short term rentals and all agree that this was our favorite. The property was well done, clean, welcoming and so quiet. My family enjoyed the space, especially the porches and neighborhood. The house had everything we needed (and well-organized). We enjoyed walking the beautiful neighborhood, spotting wildlife, beach time and the playground. The market at East Beach gave us a quick supply stop and a lunch while exploring and Publix and Bi-Lo were close for extras. My absolute only suggestion is some more information about the best beach access. It may have been obvious to most, but it took us a bit. I finally just asked the *super nice* guards at the Vanderhurst gate. He was amazingly patient! We went off island quite a bit and found that this spot was the best of both worlds. Charleston and Drayton, etc were a short drive away but we had peace and quiet family time when we got back. We’re looking forward to a return visit!!

Family Spring Break Trip

This is a great house for the price. It fit all of our bedroom needs. The house needs to update some of their kitchen needs. The trash can is too small for that large of a home & there is no place to store food for 10 people. You could def walk to the beach but the pool was a lot closer. I would not consider it a short walk to the beach. The picture do not do the back deck/screened in area justice. It was the best part of the house! We would def stay again.
