Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene is our top priority, as reflected in the consistently excellent reviews we have received from hundreds of guests over the years. For this reason, we were quite surprised by your comments. To clarify for future guests: Towels & Housekeeping: Our apartment is a self-catering holiday home, not a hotel with 24-hour room service. All guests receive a complete set of freshly laundered towels upon arrival. When you requested an entire additional set at a late hour, we politely explained that extra sets incur a small fee. What we did not mention at the time was that all the original towels provided had been used to wipe and mop the bathroom floors after showering—which also explains why the floors appeared dirty during your stay. Bathroom & Leaks: We promptly inspected the shower after your departure, and no leak was found. Using towels on the floor instead of the bathmat can cause water to pool, creating the impression of a leak. We always strive to accommodate reasonable requests with kindness and hospitality. However, we also expect our guests to treat our home and amenities with basic respect and care. We wish you the best in your future travels

Dear Raymond, thank you for staying in my apartment and for the appreciation of the location. As for the heating function, they do not depend on us but on the municipal regulations of Rome. On the other hand, in the first days of May it was about 23 degrees centigrade and the heating was not really authorized despite my request. These are the same rules that we residents must unfortunately also respect. On the other hand, our favorite motto is: when you are in Rome do as the Romans do! Thank you so much for choosing us!

Thank you for highlighting our excellent location and spaciousness. However, we must clarify the context of your comments, as this review clearly stems from your dissatisfaction regarding the blankets.To clarify for future guests: Rome is currently experiencing an extreme heatwave with temperatures reaching 40°C (104°F). Following standard seasonal guidelines, heavy winter blankets are removed, while clean and breathable top sheets are regularly provided.Regarding the shower seat, a mobile seat was previously available but had to be permanently removed for guest safety following a recent damage. It is standard practice—and crucial for the safety of our guests—that any accessibility requirements or reliance on listed mobility aids are communicated before booking or check-in. You never mentioned that a wheelchair user was part of your group. Had you simply informed us, we would have gladly provided a brand-new dedicated shower chair immediately.Our property is strictly and professionally cleaned before every check-in. It is deeply unfair to weaponize false claims about cleanliness and smell just because we could not provide winter bedding in the middle of a 40°C summer. We always welcome constructive feedback, but we cannot accept retaliatory reviews."

Dear Juliana, i would like to thank you and your party for staying at my apartment and also for your nice review. Concerning the sewer “odors”, i need to remind you that we had an unusual storm in Rome while you here and it surely impacted on the sewage system of the whole city causing the issues you mentioned. Concerning WiFi we have a modem reuter situated in the livingroom plus a range extender in the other part of the property which should extend the signal in the whole property but we need to remind all our guests that our connection is a domestic one and not a professional like hotels, so if you connect 16(at least two devices each person) devices, it may work slow, especially when the issue is caused by the provider. Whatever, our is a genuine, clean, comfortable vacation rental, ACCESSIBLE in wheelchair and perfect for multiple families and located at the Coliseum..i am glad you have appreciated all these prerogatives and we really hope to accommodate you and your party again!

Dear jeanette thanks for your review. I am glad you liked my property and appreciated its location. I am sorry instead for the issue you had with the drain of the shower but i wonder why you have not contacted me in order to solve the problem. In fact, if you only had contacted me, the issue would have been solved in a few minutes..exactly as we did when you left. So, instead of rating my property with 3 stars, you could just send me a message. Concerning coffee pot we have a huge one in the kitchen..it is a Bialetti coffee pot, typical italian brand for a special coffee..i wonder how come you have not found it.
