The good: beautiful theater room downstairs, working wi-fi, great conversation area with family room and kitchen being attached, comfortable beds, great heat, host typically responds very quickly and we prearranged a late checkout for work purposes. The bad, on my way to the unit the host shares that previous guest broke several items and she wanted to send a handy man the next day to fix cabinets. I declined needing the cabinets fixed but asked her to insure that the unit was cleaned well. She said that it had been cleaned, however it was not clean. She warned that trash bins in the garage were full but she did not say that they were overflowing with the smell seeping into the house. She also did not share that the kitchen trash can was also full. All of the counter, island, and table surfaces were sticky and dirty as well as the kitchen appliances and inside of the freezer. A wet load of linen were in the washer and another load of damp linen was in the dryer making it hard to wash the musky towels that we were provided. In addition, the water runs cloudy throughout the house in there was no working hot water. The walkways or driveway were also icy, to which she did have someone put down salt that night, but this was after my middle-aged aunt slipped and fell. When I complained she offered a full refund but as she was aware, there were no units available in the area for us to move to. With all of this, when I asked for a partial refund, I was denied
