Enjoy a prime location in downtown Wilmington! Completely renovated, this cute cottage is within walking distance of the popular Riverwalk.

Spend the day strolling along the boardwalk and exploring local shops and restaurants. Then return home to relax in your private outdoor oasis. The fenced yard invites you to unwind into vacation mode.

Cook out on the gas grill and dine alfresco under the shade of the large umbrella. As evening falls, get cozy by the wood-burning firepit. A front porch with rocking chairs offers an idyllic spot to sip iced tea and watch the world go by.

For the price I was expecting to see the back patio clean. The house looked clean but notice some dead roaches around. I suggest that the big chairs behind the doors are removed. It was not giving space to open the door in between the rooms. The bed on the second room was not sturdy.Other than that it was a good stay, it was in a good location.

Comfy, clean and off the beaten path

Loved being able to disconnect there from our busy roadtrips through out the day. Wilmington is such a fun and busy dow town, the neighborhood of this home is quiet but a short drive to downtown, the beach and Wrightsville.

Great Place

The house and amenities were top notch. Place is located near downtown. From the privacy of the back yard, we got to see fireworks from the downtown area. Will book again in the future.

Windy Harbor House

The house is in a great location, only a couple of minutes drive from the downtown area. The facilities are excellent, with everything you need, nice stoop out front and a pleasant backyard seating/dining area. Recommended.

Great house!

Our experience was excellent. The house is fresh and clean. Lots of towels, hot water, fully equipped kitchen. Really convenient to everything downtown. 👍👍👍

Cute cottage

This home was adorable and super convenient to everything. The only issue is the hot water runs out after 5 minutes so people can’t take back to back showers.

Cute house but…

I think this is a cute remodel house. I’m giving a three star due to the fact the the house location was not what I expected. You’ll be in the side of town in Wilmington that is not appealing, while browsing for a property the pictures look like it would be a great place to stay, but it doesn’t give you or tell much details of the property location, I feel that for the price we paid I could’ve stay at a upscale hotel with a better location. It was our first time in Wilmington so you kinda trust the pictures of the property and the details of the advertisement.

Suitable place for long weekend

Positives: clean, convenient, lovely backyard, nicely decorated. Negatives: stingy on towels - we had said 6 people and only towels for 4 were provided. towels and linen on cheap side. soaps and the like on super cheap side. hot water almost non-existent in one bathroom (other bathroom must be on separate hot water heater because it was fine). bathroom with hot water needs more counter-type space for people to put their cosmetics, etc. front door lock tricky and hard to use. we used pull-out sofa and it has obviously not been cleaned in quite a while - lots of crumbs. it was okay for what we needed but probably wouldn't stay there again.

The property is in a not so desirable neighborhood with a lot of foot traffic. Driveway is extremely narrow, difficult to get out of car. Lock is tricky. House was very clean and updated, nicely decorated, Furniture was nice. Beds semi-comfortable. Had enough toiletries and towels. Washing machine and dryer on site. Back yard had grill and outdoor patio set that we enjoyed although it was not well maintained, we had to sweep up a good bit of leaves before we could enjoy it as well as a lot of weeds growing, etc. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook meals. The house did have a few large roaches which was reported with pictures and never got a response. Overall, the house was clean other than the bugs and had enough space for my family of 6. The location was very close to downtown river walk area and about 15 min drive to Wrightsville Beach.

Deceiving

The owners most likely think they have a diamond in thr rough, however, this is just rough. The neighborhood is absolutely horrendous, was glad I had my pistol with me. One night at roughly 7pm, a woman came thru the front gate knocking on the door looking to buy drugs. The next door neighbor to the right is SUPER creepy, constantly walking by looking and watching. The back patio is unkept. Leaves, acorns, and outdoor debris everywhere so it makes it hard to use the patio set or firepit. The kitchen is fully stocked with basic, cheap plastic items. There are no basic seasonings to include salt, we ran to the store and grabbed our own. No issues or concerns with the bathrooms or bedrooms, besides the towels having short black hairs on them. I sent atext to the #, and dis offer new towels, but I think is a reflection of how they clean so we declined and used our own. AC worked fine. There were a few dead bugs on the floor when we came in, and the bottom of my sons socks were BLACK the first night being there so not sure what the $180 cleaning fee is for. 20mins from beach and 5mins from downtown. Parking in that narrow driveway is HORRIBLE so plan to park in front of the house, if space available.

Disappointed. Definitely not worth the price. Definitely had pest control but didn't sweep up the dead bugs. Both mattresses were uncomfortable. The backyard was overflowing with weeds twigs leaves debris…nobody had been there in awhile.
